Build Overview

This Amon build utlizes the brand new Roulette pistol from Bounty Pack 2, in addition to some other fun items to cause absolute distraction not only to mobs, but also big encore & raid bosses. It's extremely min-maxxed however, and is NOT a new player friendly build.

Please watch the attached video for the full list of items & more. It is very important, and required to understand the loadout.

Strengths And Weaknesses

  • Deals with all Vault Guardians on UVH6 easily
  • Clears rooms at high speed
  • Deals with Bloomreaper easy
  • Very Gear dependant
  • Sometimes easy to self down

For our classmod, we will be running the Shatterwight com for Amon, with hopes we get as many points as possible into the Berserk skill, as it will be a large source of our damage within this build, much like with all Amon gun builds.

  • Bonus points if the passives on your class mod boost Gun Damage

With our Enhancement slot, we have a few items depending on what we want to go for, but no matter what, we want to look out for Gun Damage and also Splash Radius (Unless you strictly just want to use the Roulette only)

In a general sense, Legendary Jakobs Enhancement with Bounce Pass or Piercer are going to be your main roller. For me personally however, I enjoy using the Legendary Ripper Enhancement with Freeloader, and High Roller. This is because of the roll we want on our Roulette

For any use of our splash weapons such as the Linebacker we want to grab a Torgue Enhancement with Head Ringer specifically, and passives that boost our Splash Radius. This is very important.

Your Slippy roll is not important, as we mainly use it to proc My Touch Is Death, but if you can get extra charge, that is always a nice plus.

For our Rep Kit, we specifically want any Kit with Splash Damage, and Enrage on it. We'll use this half-hazardly in encounters for a boost in our overall DPS output.

Lastly, we use the ol' reliable Watts 4 Dinner for the bonus Shock damage. Because of our skill spec, we in theory should have great uptime on this thanks to our Slippy

Firmware

Utilities
Class Mod FirmwareHigh Caliber
Shield FirmwareHeating Up
Enhancement FirmwareAirstrike

The purpose of our Firmware is important, as for bosses such as Bloomreaper, we can pierce the crystals at the start of the fight, for a major increase in clearing speed.

We'll also be reloading often, so the bonus from Heating Up is a comfortable bonus to have in addition to Airstrike, which will be ready in the background to help out our Linebacker and Sweet Embrace when needed.

Specialization

Specialization 1CQC
Specialization 2The Best Defense
Specialization 3I Am A Gun
Specialization 4Bullet Train

The only real note I want to make for our Specializations is CQC, which we trigger with our Slippy

The fire rate bonus we are granted as a result when stacked with the insane fire rate from our Roulette, results in bullet output which quite frankly, made me burst out laughing the first time I witnessed it.

Gameplay

While the build primarily uses the Roulette, it's important that you get the correct roll for the maximum amount of damage output. An absolute MUST with this weapon, is the Ripper magazine. We're also looking for Jakobs, but overall we want to make sure that no matter what, Ripper is present.

When we swap to our Torgue setup, there are two real rules of thumb to follow with our Sweet Embrace and Linebacker respectively.

  • Sweet Embrace should ALWAYS be fired in a way that has the projectiles landing at the feet of the target. High Caliber will allow our projectiles to hit twice.

  • Linebacker should be used in a method that has our projectiles hitting the same spot consistently. To do this, try to fire the projectiles along the floor, or so that they collide with the corner of a wall. We want our projectiles stacking in one spot if possible. You'll eventually feel the sweet spot and get the hang of it.

Conclusion

And there we have it! This is one of my most requested Amon builds to date, and it's one I've been running for a long while now! I hope you enjoy it, and hope it gets you some sweet loot!
