Build Overview

Amon's Vengeance Scourge is incredible class spec and action skill for leveling because it provides strong area control and consistent defensive utility throughout every fight. You can stay permanently damage reduced, and with your passives like The Thrill & Ballistic Bulwark you are able to regenerate health and keep yourself overshielded, making incoming damage far less of a problem. On top of that, we take advantage of two easily farmed legendaries, Jelly and @firewerk which give us powerful ordinance presence. Since the Vengeance tree is heavily focused on ordinance based damage, Amon benefits from excellent scaling across Machinist cooldown reduction, Tail of the Comet damage over time, and Scorched Kairos raw damage boosts. Altogether, this build works seamlessly through the entire leveling phase.

*Important*

Make sure that for your class mod it either has Ballistic Bulwark (ideally because it's going to cost the most to invest into), or any of the selected passives we covered here in this guide with +3. Otherwise you will need to allocate points more sparingly. Keep in mind this is a level 25 focus build. Seeing that this is leveling, one of your class mods should cover something that is allocated within this tree so that it equals up to 25.

In the event you are able to get any points invested into Ballistic Bulwark Once you make your way to the second half of the tree you're going to invest 5 points into Blackout

Skill Progression - (Make sure to adjust relative to your needs but this is the general flow that you should follow)

1. The Thrill 5/5 or Scorched Kairos 3/3 & Wrath of Nature 2/5 - This is contingent upon if you need damage or survivability.

2. Allocate Cryonic Thrum

3 . Tail of the Comet 5/5 - The moment you can start investing into it

4. Machinist 3/3

5. Allocate Eternal Winter

6. Wildfire 5/5

7. Ballistic Bulwark 5/5

8. Allocate Ring of Frostfire

9. Blackout 5/5

10 Icy Rage 5/5 or Ancient Ways 5/5

11. Follow the rest of the guide or allocate as you see fit generally this is all you really need guidance on!

Notes

For the two equipment Jelly & @firewerk, both can be farmed from one boss @splashzone, located in the far south part of Coastal Bonescape. He is a boss that is weak to fire based weapons and generally the weakest boss in the game besides the tutorial boss. It shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to farm both items, and generally you want to come back around level 10–15 and 20–25 respectively to refresh these passive bonuses. Both of these are very integral to your build, and you want to make sure before facing off against the final boss that these are doing optimal damage relative to your level.

The most important piece of information I can give you about this build is I generally like to save my Scourge for tough situations or when I'm in boss fights contingent upon the boss that you're facing off against. You need to be smart with how you use your Scourge as every time you activate Scourge with Eternal Winter It will refill 2.5% of your action bar and 5% of your Ring of Frostfire. So it's in your best interest to try to be smart when activating Scourge
