Zenless Zone Zero Anton Ivanov Overview

Welcome to our Zenless Zone Zero character guide, where we cover everything you need to know about Anton.

Anton Ivanov is an A Rank Agent from the Belobog Heavy Industries Faction with the Electric Attribute and Attack Fighting Style. He is a Standard A Rank Agent, meaning you can obtain more copies of Anton on any character banner through the Gacha System.

Anton is one of many Attack Agents in the game, so there isn’t too much for him to stand out. The main thing going for him is that he is the only Electric Attack Agent and the only Belobog Attack Agent.

With Additional Abilities, Anton can be the connective piece when building a team. Since Anton is an A Rank Agent, his damage will likely be lower than other S Rank Agents.

Even still, you can definitely utilize Anton for endgame content in the Zenless Zone Zero meta. Some stages will give you buffs, and taking advantage of these buffs with your roster will lead to better success.

Zenless Zone Zero Anton Build Guide Overview

  • (5) PEN Ratio%/Electric DMG%
  • (6) Energy Regen%

Building Anton is fairly straightforward as an Attack unit. You want strong offensive stats like Crit, PEN, ATK, etc.

Anton W-Engines

Drill_Rig_Red_Axis

Drill Rig – Red Axis

ATK: 42/624 | Crit Damage%: 16%/40%
When launching an EX Special Attack, Electric DMG from Basic Attacks and Dash Attacks increases by 50/57.5/65/72.5/80% for 10s. This effect can trigger once every 15s.

Steel_Cushion

Steel Cushion

ATK: 46/684 | Crit Rate%: 9.6%/24%
Increases Physical DMG by 20/25/30/35/40%. The equipper’s DMG increases by 25/31.5/38/44/50% when attacking the enemy from behind.

When it comes to W-Engines in ZZZ, every Agent has a signature weapon. You can definitely tell as one W-Engine will match the aesthetic and kit of every character.

For Anton, his signature W-Engine is Drill Rige – Red Axis. This has higher Base ATK compared to other A Rank Engines and also has a Crit Main Stat. The passive also synergizes very well with Anton, buffing up his Electric DMG after he enters Burst State.

Since Anton is A Rank, his signature Engine is also A Rank. If you have an S Rank Attack W-Engine, you can definitely use that even if the passive doesn’t synergize with Anton. S Rank Engines will have higher Base ATK and Main Stat, which provide a lot of damage.

Steel Cushion is a great example. It has high base ATK and lots of Crit Rate. The Physical DMG bonus also works with Anton when he’s not in Burst Mode. The DMG passive requires you to hit from behind, which may not always be easy with Anton, but it still works.

Other S Rank Engines have passives that don’t synergize with Anton, but they’re still fine to use as big stat sticks.

Anton Drive Discs

Disk Drive Thunder Metal S

Thunder Metal

(2): Increases Electric DMG by 10%.
(4): As long as an enemy in combat is Shocked, the equippers ATK is increased by 27%.
Disk Drive Woodpecker Electro S

Woodpecker Electro

(2): Increases CRIT Rate by 8%.
(4): Triggering a critical hit with a Basic Attack, Dodge Counter or EX Special Attack increases the equippers ATK by 9% for 6s. The buff duration for different skills are calculated separately.

When it comes to Drive Discs for Anton, there are mainly two sets to highlight: Thunder Metal and Woodpecker Electro.

Woodpecker Electro is a great set for any Crit scaling Agent. This basically applies to every Attack Agent in the game. The 4-piece bonus grants up to 27% ATK if you’re able to crit with Basic, Dodge Counter, and EX Special.

Overall, it’s a great set with a strong stats.

Your other option is to go for Thunder Metal (4). This set bonus will provide a similar 27% ATK buff if the enemy is Shocked. This set will be better if you’re playing a team with more Electric Agents.

This will help ensure the enemy is constantly Shocked, giving you more uptime for the ATK buff.

Simply use the other set for your (2) piece bonus, or use other sets that give things like ATK% or Energy Regen%.

Anton Drive Disc Stats

Main Stats

  • (4) Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • (5) PEN Ratio%/Electric DMG%
  • (6) Energy Regen%

When it comes to Main Stats, building Anton is pretty straight forward.

Partition IV will be where you get Crit Rate or Crit Damage. Depending on what gear/Substats you have, one will be better than the other. Try to keep a ratio of 1:2 in terms of Crit Rate and Crit Damage.

Partition V will be either PEN Ratio% or Electric DMG%. Both are good for increasing Anton’s damage.

For Partition VI, we recommend to get Energy Regen% instead of ATK%. A majority of Anton’s damage comes from his Burst Mode, which depletes his Energy as he hits enemies. Because of this, you want a lot of Energy Regen to extend the duration of Burst Mode.

Substats

  • Crit Rate%/Crit DMG%
  • PEN
  • ATK%
  • ATK

When it comes to Substats, things are mostly the same. Try to get Substats that increase Anton’s personal damage with Crit, PEN, and ATK.

Anton Skill Priority

Once the game releases, we’ll update this section. In general, leveling up an Agent’s Core Passive is the most effective, as this levels up their Core Passive, Additional Ability, and Assist Moves.

Anton Teams

As with all characters, Anton pairs best with other Agents that are either the same Attribute or Faction. This activates his Additional Ability, which provides strong passive buffs.

Using Anton without his Additional Ability results in a decrease in damage, which isn’t ideal. If your roster is small, you can still make do, but in general, you can simply pair him with other Electric/Belobog Agents and have a good time.

Mono Electric Team

Anton Anby Rina Team

Anton, Anby, Rina

This first team uses all Electric Agents to activate their Additional Abilities. The team is also balanced with Anton (Attack), Anby (Stun), and Rina (Support).

You can also replace Rina with Grace (Anomaly). This will make it so you trigger Shock more often, but you lose out on the Support capabilities of Rina.

Anby is a free Agent you get at the start of the game, so pairing Anton and Anby is easy. You can have your third slot be flexible, and you don’t have to run all Electric Agents either.

Agents like Nicole, Ben, etc all work in the third spot.

Zenless Zone Zero Mono Electric Team

Anton, Grace, Rina

This team is another example of a Mono Electric team, with Grace and Rina instead of Anby. Since this team doesn’t have a Stun Agent, you won’t be able to inflict as much Daze. However, you can trade that to deal more Shock damage with Grace and Rina alongside Anton.

Basic Anton Team

Zenless Zone Zero Koleda F2P Team

Anton, Koleda, Nicole

In general, you don’t have to team build perfectly to have a strong team. This team consists of the usual Attack/Stun/Support, but doesn’t activate Nicole’s Additional Ability.

Since Koleda is also from Belobog, Anton and Koleda will have their Additional Abilities. I won’t go through every possible combination, but this should give you a solid idea of what teams are possible.

You’ll have to decide how to team build based on your own account and roster.

Closing Words

Zenless Zone Zero Anton Artwork 2

This wraps up our guide for Anton in Zenless Zone Zero. Overall, Anton isn’t particularly unique since there are plenty of Attack Agents in the game.

It also seems unclear whether Anton will be a part of any top DPS teams. Even still, he’s much easier to get since he’s an A Rank Agent. Getting his Talents up toward 6 will also make him stronger and possibly even better than S Rank Agents.

Anton also pairs very easily with Anby, meaning his teams are F2P friendly for the most part.
