Kit Overview

Core Passive & Additional Ability

Core Passive

Yuzuha's Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder provides:

  • 15% DMG Bonus
  • Up to 1,200 Combat Attack to the whole team, when using EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, Right Now! and Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief.

To get the full Combat Attack buff value, you'll need 3,000 Attack on Yuzuha before entering combat.

Additional Ability

Her Additional Ability: The More the Merrier gives:

  • Up to 20% Anomaly Build-up
  • Up to 20% Anomaly Damage
  • Up to 20% Disorder Damage

Anomaly and Disorder Damage are separate from standard DMG Bonus increases, meaning they tend to not be as diluted, resulting in higher damage increases.

These bonuses scale with her Anomaly Mastery (AM), so you will need Metanukimorphosis as well as an AM D6 and Phaethon's Melody 2-piece to max it out.

Without Metanukimorphosis, this caps out at 14%.

Sweet Scare & Flavor Match

Sugarburst Sparkles

The same skills that activate her Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder buffs will also apply a special debuff called Sweet Scare. While under this debuff, a Damage Over Time (DoT) effect called Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles will activate.

This Damage Over Time effect both deals damage and builds the Anomaly gauge.

Sugarburst Sparkles - Max

Once every 8 seconds, attacks done by other Agents will cause Yuzuha to use up 1 of her "Sugar Points" - her unique resource - to perform an Aftershock attack that builds a fair bit of Anomaly, named Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot.

The Anomaly-building hit that happens at the very end is called Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max.

Flavor Match

Yuzuha's DoT and Aftershocks default to Physical build-up, but if an active agent hits an enemy with an attack that matches that of their character element, then the "Flavor Match" effect from Sweet Scare will take place, fixing the both the DoT effect and her Aftershock build-up to be that of the matched character.

You can hit the enemy with a different element after, but the effect will remain fixed to that of the first element match.

Any Anomaly built by Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles and Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max does not have Yuzuha's stats factor into calculations. This means they do not dilute Anomaly build-up and won't lower the damage of your other agents.

Be mindful that the rest of her kit will still build Physical, and this build-up does dilute the Anomaly gauge, so in Physical teams especially, you will want to make sure Yuzuha has strong stats.

Mechanic Behaviours & Swapping

DoT Behaviour

There are a multitude of underlying mechanics that make up her DoT:

  • It can Crit, which can at times enable Crit builds for Yuzuha.
  • It triggers on-hit abilities for characters, like Burnice's Afterburn.
  • It triggers on-hit abilities for items, like Unfettered Game Ball, Weeping Cradle and Kaboom the Cannon, leading to permanent uptime on their buffs.
  • It does not trigger conditional anomalies, like Corruption or Shock.

Element Matching Behaviour

The element match from Sweet Scare will trigger on "the first hit by an active character using an attack of their attribute", which means:

  • Landing a Physical hit on an a non-Physical Agent will not lead to an element match, as their attack and element are misaligned.
  • Once an element match takes place, it cannot be changed unless another Sweet Scare is triggered (such as through EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert or Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief).
  • Yuzuha can element match herself, if she remains as the active character and lands an attack after Sweet Scare is triggered.
  • Since only active characters can element match, off-field triggers, like Burnice Afterburns or Vivian Ablooms will not count unless they are swapped to when attacks land.

Back-Swapping & Double Swapping

Whenever Yuzuha uses a skill that'll trigger Sweet Scare, it will lead to a Quick Assist.

As almost all Quick Assists will deal elemental damage matching that of the character. whoever is being Quick Assisted into will likely be element matched. This means it's the character after Yuzuha on the party line-up that'll get it.

There are some ways around this:

  • Back-swap to a different character before the Quick Assist is triggered.
  • Double-swap by activating the Quick Assist, then quickly swapping a second time before the first character's attack lands.

Double-swapping is useful if you run Astral Voice and want to apply the buff to a different character.

This is only practical for some characters, namely Miyabi, Grace, Vivian and Burnice, as they have a slight delay between using their Quick Assists and landing their attacks or an elementally matched hit.

Aftershock & Parries

Aftershock Mechanics

Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot will happen automatically when a "finisher" hit (any attack that would kill or trigger an Anomaly) lands.

Be careful as it fully animation-locks Yuzuha. If you swap to her during it, only Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief can interrupt it. You can swap out of her to another character if this happens.

As mentioned before, it happens once every 8 seconds and uses up 1 of the "Sugar Points".

Sugar Point sources are:

  • 2 Sugar Points from EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert and EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, Right Now!
  • 2 Sugar Points from Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief
  • 1 Sugar Point from Chain Attack: Prank Assault
  • 1 Sugar Point from parries of any kind.

Unique Parry Mechanics

"Parries of any kind" because Yuzuha is distinct from other characters by having multiple parry options.

Defensive Assist: Replenish Your Fun is the standard parry that comes from swapping during a yellow flash attack.

In addition to this, by holding down the Basic Attack button, Yuzuha will position her umbrella behind her and enter a blocking stance, activating Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak.

Successfully blocking an attack will deal some Daze to the target, give 1 Sugar Point and let Yuzuha transition to her Assist Follow-ups, much like a regular Defensive Assist: Replenish Your Fun.

Assist Follow-up Variants

Similar to her parries, Yuzuha also has multiple Assist Follow-ups.

  • Assist Follow-Up: We Have Cookies: a standard, fast version, doing low Daze and building Physical Anomaly.
  • Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot: an enhanced, slower version, with significant Daze and Anomaly. Its Anomaly build-up on at the end also benefits from Sweet Scare's element matching.

The enhanced Assist Follow-up will still build some Physical Anomaly, but its final shot triggers Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max, leading to undiluted element matching build-up.

Similar to Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot, Yuzuha is animation locked during it, but unlike the Aftershock, you cannot swap out during the Assist Follow-up cast.

Combining Skills

By mixing and matching Aftershocks and parries, Yuzuha can do a large amount of undiluted Anomaly build-up. For example:

  1. Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak for a parry.
  2. Time your attack to get Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot.
  3. Swap out to another character and land an attack, triggering the Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot Aftershock.
  4. As the enemy is about to attack, swap back to Yuzuha via a Defensive Assist: Replenish Your Fun.
  5. Go into another Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot

This alone would give 3 unique uses of Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max in a short period of time.

EX Variants, Chains & Ultimates

EX Special Variations

Yuzuha also has variants on her EX Specials:

  • EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert slow, but heavy hitting attack. The default version of her EX.
  • EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, Right Now! fast, but with lower values across the board. Only usable after certain moves.

To get the faster variant, it needs to be chained from:

  • Dodge Counter: Time for Payback~
  • Dodge: Did I Scare You? (regular Perfect Dodge)
  • Assist Follow-Up: We Have Cookies or Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot

Although it builds less Daze and Anomaly, gives fewer Decibels, and even has a lower Miasmic Shield shred value than her standard EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, its more than twice as fast.

This time save means it's usually better, as it gives you more time to spend on other units. A lower Anomaly build-up value can also be helpful at times, like for Physical teams, as Yuzuha's EX Specials would be diluting the gauge.

But since the slow EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert is swap-cancellable, unless the Quick Assist prompt is needed (such as for attack shortcuts or Astral Voice), you can just swap to another unit during it and get a similar time save.

Remaining Kit

Chain Attack: Prank Assault isn't strong, but it is fast. It's recommended to do full Chains on teams where Yuzuha is present for extra Decibels, bar a few exceptions (such as Miyabi teams).

If using Swing Jazz, have Yuzuha go first for early buff activation. If using Astral Voice, have Yuzuha go last to get a Quick Assist prompt.

Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief is slow and not outstanding in its values, but it provides 25 teamwide Energy generation. Use it out-of-stun to help set-up resources on other units.

Summary

All-in-all, Yuzuha is the premium support for Anomaly teams, and she achieves that in multiple ways:

  • Boosts Team Damage and Build-Up: She provides 15% Damage, 1,200 Combat Attack and up to 20% Anomaly Build-up, Anomaly Damage and Disorder Damage to the team, making her a top-tier Support.
  • Undiluted Anomalies: She has access to a DoT and Aftershock that can match to the element of another character, doing heavy, undiluted Anomaly build-up, meaning she can work with almost every team.
  • Engaging Gameplay: Between being able to manually parry enemy attacks at will with her Basics, having variants of her Assist Follow-Ups and EX Specials and restoring team Energy via her Ultimate, she can do a lot more than just being a passive set-and-forget unit.

Skill Priority

  1. zzz core skill Core Passive | zzz ex special attack EX Special | zzz basic attack Basic Attack
  2. zzz ultimate Ultimate
  3. zzz assist Assist
  4. zzz dodge Dodge

Reasonings

  • Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder is what dictates how much Attack she can give with her buff, so it's a priority to max it out.
  • The build-up rate of her DoT, Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles and her Aftershock, Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max, scales with her zzz basic attack Basic Attack.
  • The duration of her Sweet Scare debuff (the DoT and element matching) scales with her zzz ex special attack EX Special.
  • The Energy bonus granted by Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief scales with its level.

Yuzuha's parries are good, but the undiluted Anomaly build-up comes from Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max, which isn't affected by zzz assist Assist levels. It's nice to level, but not necessary.

Dodge Counter: Time for Payback~ is rarely if ever used. Since just a regular Dodge: Did I Scare You? can be used for EX Special Attack: Cavity Alert, Right Now!, no levels are needed for zzz dodge Dodge.

W-Engines

Yuzuha is in a good position in terms of W-Engine options, as she has a strong Signature, but alternatives are still competitive.

Metanukimorphosis

Metanukimorphosis (P1) provides:

  • 60% Energy Regen
  • 30 Anomaly Mastery
  • 60 Anomaly Proficiency for the whole squad

It has the highest Energy Regen (ER) out of any Support weapon, which is good as Yuzuha is not running ER D6s, giving her more frequent EXs.

The AM bonus is needed for Additional Ability: The More the Merrier to cap out its buff. Without it, Yuzuha only gets 14% Anomaly Anomaly Build-up, Anomaly Damage and Disorder Damage from it. Since Yuzuha's M1 Lucky Constitution increases this scaling, not having Metanukimorphosis also hurts her performance with Mindscapes.

As the Anomaly Proficiency (AP) bonus is teamwide, it's very good for boosting Anomaly units - especially Vivian, whose Ablooms scale directly with it.

Lastly, as it is an S-Rank weapon, it has a higher base Attack, making it easier to hit the 3,000 Attack threshold for Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder.

Kaboom the Cannon

Kaboom the Cannon (P5) provides:

  • 50% Energy Regen
  • 16% Combat Attack

Yuzuha is one of the best agents for this W-Engine, as her Raccoon, Kama, will attack every so often. He counts as a separate entity (similar to Lucy's boars), so when combined with Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles' DoT, that's 2 stacks permanently up.

The high Combat Attack bonuses means that even with saturation from Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder, it's still a strong option and not that much worse than Metanukimorphosis.

Weeping Cradle

Weeping Cradle (P1) provides:

  • 24% PEN Ratio
  • 0.6 Energy Regen /s when off-field
  • 20.2% DMG Bonus

The PEN Ratio main stat isn't great, but not terrible, as Yuzuha does contribute decent damage over the course of a fight.

Due to Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles' DoT constant attacks, she can maintain full uptime on the DMG Bonus buff.

Since the ER bonus only applies when off-field, and Aftershock attacks are considered on-field, its benefit is intermittent.

At P1, it would be worse than Kaboom the Cannon, as DMG Bonus tends to already be somewhat saturated and Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot interrupting the ER from it means Yuzuha may struggle with having enough Energy to maintain Sugar Points.

At higher Phases (P3+), the extra DMG Bonus and ER means it'd get competitive.

At P5 - depending on context - it'd be comparable to Metanukimorphosis in terms of potential damage gains.

Unfettered Game Ball

Unfettered Game Ball (P5) provides:

  • 50% Energy Regen
  • 20% Crit Rate for the whole squad

Since Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles' DoT gets element matched, it's possible to get the weakness effect against any enemy, so long as other party members have a matching weakness.

Yuzuha wouldn't use this in most Anomaly teams, but if running Miyabi or Attack/Rupture Agents, then this could be a best-in-slot pick, beating out Metanukimorphosis.

Drive Discs & Stats

Stats

D6 - Anomaly Mastery

AM here is required to max out Additional Ability: The More the Merrier's bonuses. As the majority of Yuzuha's build-up doesn't dilute Anomaly, it'd be a good pick regardless.

D5 - Attack %

As DMG Bonus is limited to one element, it does not work in this slot. Element matched attacks from Sweet Scare will scale with their new element, not Physical. With Yuzuha's damage is split across different elements, DMG Bonus would only increase a part of her kit's damage.

Since Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder needs 3,000 Attack to grant the full bonus, it's better to use an Attack % Disc over a PEN Ratio one.

D4 - Anomaly Proficiency | Attack %

AP would give the highest damage gains, but Attack % is fine to meet Core Passive: Whimsical Wonder's requirements.

Most of Yuzuha's build-up does not care for AP, as it comes from Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles and Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max. All other moves in her kit, however, do scale with it.

D4 - Crit Rate %

Outside of Physical comps, Crit Rate % can be a competitive pick.

It may out-damage AP on D4, as Assault will only deal damage if Yuzuha can max out the gauge. If the fight finishes before an Assault is triggered, then AP offers no value.

When using Unfettered Game Ball, building Yuzuha for pure Crit can be optimal.

Drive Discs

There is no best set for Yuzuha, with it depending on the team and encounter.

2-piece Phaethon's Melody will always be used, as its Anomaly Mastery is required for her Additional Ability.

As for 4-piece, the choices are between:

  • Astral Voice
  • Swing Jazz
  • Proto Punk
  • Freedom Blues (if mono-Physical)

Astral Voice

Astral Voice is the strongest in terms of raw numbers (up to 24% DMG Bonus), but it's only active when Quick Assisting to a character.

Yuzuha only gets enough Energy to EX roughly once every 30 seconds. Given Astral Voice runs out in 15 seconds, that means you're only getting 1 stack up, at 50% uptime.

This can be made up with other skills, like Chain Attack: Prank Assault and Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief, both of which provide a Quick Assist. You can also just get hit and get a Quick Assist prompt off it, depending on the enemy attack.

If running an Anomaly team, then that means two units that want the buff, but only one can be Quick Assisted to.

So this set can work well for hypercarry comps (like Miyabi, Alice or Jane teams) if routed around being able to stack Quick Assists for in-stun burst, but overall it's hard to use.

Swing Jazz

Swing Jazz is the most consistent set, but provides only 15% DMG Bonus, lasts only 12 seconds and is only applied after using Chain Attack: Prank Assault or Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief.

As the buff is team-wide, everyone benefits from it. This can make it better for general Anomaly teams, but usually such teams have much lower Daze output. so fewer Chain Attack opportunities.

Compared to Astral Voice, it'd have lower uptime. Yet when it is up it'd often provide a greater buff value overall, as it doesn't need to be stacked affects all units.

Proto Punk

Proto Punk in theory is the strongest set, with the potential for the highest uptime.

It also only provides a team-wide 15% DMG Bonus, but it has the lowest buff length: 10 seconds. As it can be applied via Perfect Assists though, it's the easiest set to activate.

The majority of Anomaly units and Yuzuha all use 2 Assist Points in their Defensive Assists (Piper and Grace being exceptions). This means a team can only get 3 parries before running out of Assist Points. Yet as Anomaly teams get frequent Ultimates - and said Ultimates generate Assist Points - this can be used to get more Perfect Assists.

Properly spacing out Perfect Assists and restoring points with Ultimates means this has the greatest uptime potential, but with a weak 2-piece effect and a reliance on specific rotations and enemy AI behaviour, it's the hardest to use.

Note that Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak does not trigger Proto Punk's 4-piece effect.

Freedom Blues

Freedom Blues is an option, but only on Physical teams.

The Anomaly RES decrease it provides is exclusive to "the equipper's attribute", meaninig regardless of element matching, it only ever works for Physical.

Given that it only lasts 8 seconds and needs Yuzuha to EX Special, means it's only providing 20% Anomaly Build-up RES for 8s every 30 seconds.

Even in mono-Physical teams (such as Alice | Jane | Yuzuha) other sets would outperform this, but it can work if no options are available.

Summary

There is no perfect set for Yuzuha, so pick and choose based on availability and team line-up:

  • Astral Voice is best for hypercarry teams, where the majority of damage is being done by one unit.
  • Swing Jazz is a generalist set that works well in Anomaly teams, but has low uptime.
  • Proto Punk can be the best set, but is reliant on specific rotations and enemy AI, making it the least consistent.
  • Freedom Blues is only for Physical teams, but underperforms compared to others due to low uptime.

Teams

Yuzuha slots nicely into any Anomaly team, so any shell that's:

  • Anomaly Character | Burnice | Yuzuha
  • Anomaly Character | Vivian | Yuzuha

Will perform well. Burnice and Vivian are great partners, as Yuzuha can make up for longstanding issues where they can't keep up with the Anomaly application of their onfield peers.

Hypercarry teams do great too, such as:

  • Alice | Nicole | Yuzuha
  • Yanagi | Nicole | Yuzuha
  • Jane | Seth | Yuzuha
  • Piper | Lucy | Yuzuha

Sweet Scare can be used to element match Support/Defenders to allow for Disorders even in non-Anomaly teams.

For some Physical comps (namely Alice and Jane), element matching the main carry and having them use AM D6s over Attack % works best. The increased Assault count outperforms Disorder-oriened playstyles.

Yuzuha also enables Miyabi teams, both Anomaly and Ice focused:

  • Miyabi | Yanagi | Yuzuha
  • Miyabi | Yuzuha | Soukaku

With Yanagi, Disorder dancing is very easy with all of the extra build-up - so much so that overcapping in resources becomes a concern.

When running alongside Soukaku, Yuzuha is part of Miyabi's best team, enabling a "mono-Ice" playstyle while being much stronger and easier to play.

Mindscapes

Mindscape 1

Lucky Constitution provides:

  • 30 Energy on combat start
  • 10% All-Attribute RES Shred
  • x1.3 to Additional Ability: The More the Merrier's effects (20% -> 26%)

It's a strong stat-booster with good quality of life: early Energy means getting Yuzuha buffs fast, where normally you would need to wait or use Basic Attacks to build resources for it.

All other benefits are damage, but significant amounts comparable to other characters' strong M1s (like Astra Yao and Trigger).

As its bonus is based on increasing Additional Ability: The More the Merrier, you will want Metanukimorphosis to get the most value out of this Mindscape, otherwise instead of 20 -> 26%, it'll give only 14 -> 18.3% improvements.

Mindscape 2

Full of Colorful Company provides:

  • 15% DMG Bonus for the whole squad
  • 15% Anomaly Build-up Rate for the whole squad
  • EX and Ultimate Heavy Attacks trigger a Chain Attack prompt once every 20s
  • When any character enters through a Chain Attack, gain 1 Sugar Point
  • Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot Aftershock Cooldown reduces by 25% (6 -> 8s)

This Mindscape is very strong - arguably one of the strongest in the game.

The DMG Bonus is lacklustre with the high levels of saturation in high-end content. Extra Anomaly Build-up Rate, however, is very valuable. It can enable unique combos for certain teams that weren't possible before, all the while making Disorder dancing easier.

The strongest effect are readily available Chain Attacks. The Chain Attacks triggered from this have lowered interrupt levels, but otherwise function as normal. So all benefits that it provides, like the Decibel bonuses or unique mechanics - like Flight Feather generation with Vivian - all still work.

This leads to much ealier (and more frequent) Ultimates and better rotations due to resource abundance. Since other characters' Chain Attacks now also provide Sugar Points, it stops being a resource to care about, as there'll always be some in stock.

Lastly is the reduction in Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot's cooldown, working as an indirect increase to Yuzuha's Anomaly application. With a 6 second cooldown, it better matches the cadence of natural play in regards to Anomaly and Disorder ICDs, leading to more comfortable rotations.

Do note that this Mindscape makes Astral Voice almost unusable (as Quick Assists become Chain Attack promopts).

Since Chain Attacks are executed by other characters, it does not improve Swing Jazz uptime, but does not make it worse either.

Mindscape 4

Falling Magic provides:

  • Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot and Assist Follow-Up: We Have Cookies get 30% DMG Bonus and trigger Quick Assists on use.

At first it's a weak-looking Mindscape, as the DMG Bonus applies only to Assist Follow-Ups.

With every Assist Follow-Up triggering a Quick Assist though, Yuzuha is no longer reliant on EXs and Ultimates for Astral Voice stacks. Since Basic Attack: Tanuki Cloak can lead to Assist Follow-Ups too, Quick Assists can be gotten on-demand.

So if M2 Full of Colorful Company makes Astral Voice unusable, M4 Falling Magic makes it a near best-in-slot.

Mindscape 6

Put Down Roots provides:

  • 1 extra Sugar Point on parries of any kind
  • Use up to 2 Sugar Points for a 300-900% Attack burst on Assist Follow-Up: Stuffed Hard Candy Shot. When the attack hits, trigger an additional Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max
  • Up to 315% Increase to Disorder Base Damage

As far as M6s go, this is quite strong.

After her timed Assist Follow-up, Yuzuha can charge up for some extra damage and a stacking Disorder Damage Multiplier debuff on enemies, with 105% per shot (up to 3 shots per charge, for a cap of 315%).

The damage from the shot is not significant, but the Disorder Base Damage increase is.

Note that the bonus is additive. Disorder already has a 450% Base Damage Multiplier, so it is not making Disorders hit 3 times harder, but it is still a 70% increase to the Disorder Base Multiplier.

Considering that most M6s in this game are rather mediocre, Put Down Roots is a step above the rest.

Mindscapes 3 & 5

Yuzuha scales well with higher skill levels. She gets:

  • 3/6% increased Build-up Rate on Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles and Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles - Max
  • 4/8s increased duration of Sweet Scare buff.
  • 3/6 increased Energy on Ultimate: Surrender or Suffer the Mischief

Making these checkpoint bonuses nice to have.

Additional Tips

Anomaly & Disorder ICD

There's two types of internal cooldown timers that matter for Anomaly teams. The first is regular Anomaly ICD.

If you inflict an Anomaly, you can no-longer inflict the same Anomaly on the enemy again for the next 3 seconds. So if you inflict Assault on an enemy, you cannot do so again for another 3 seconds.

Working with Disorders can help. Anomaly ICD would prevent another Assault on the enemy, but you can inflict Corruption - so swap to another character and build up their Anomaly instead.

However, Disorder also has a 3 second ICD. So if you Disorder Assault with Corruption, then swap back and try to inflict Assault, you have to wait another 3 seconds.

Depending on how things line up, you can inflict an anomaly - like Assault - and then be unable to inflict Assault again for at least another 6 seconds. 3 from the Anomaly ICD, then another 3 from the Disorder ICD.

Since Yuzuha provides strong build-up bonuses and gets extra bursts of it in 8 second intervals with her Aftershock, this can make Disorder ICD a real issue.

Team Build Management

Changing stat builds can help with Disorder ICD. Instead of using an AM D6 on the character that gets element matched, you could use Attack % instead.

This can both help with managing Anomaly application and increase the damage of Anomalies and Disorders.

Which characters should run AM vs Attack % depends on multiple factors, like the team comp and W-Engines (if lacking Flight of Fancy or Flamemaker Shaker you'd want AM).

Look to experiment with stats and rotations, by getting the right combination of Drive Discs across your team and planning around Yuzuha's Basic Attack: Sugarburst Sparkles build-up and Basic Attack: Hard Candy Shot timings.

M2 Free Chain Cancels

Normally, it's only possible to Chain twice with one character by:

  • Trigger a Chain on Character B/C (1) and pick Character A
  • Character A's Chain triggers another Chain (2). Cancel.
  • Swap to Character B/C to trigger another Chain (3) and pick Character A.

This is because only 3 Chains an be done in succession, and once a Chain is used on a character, they cannot be selected again unless the Chain string is reset.

A unique interaction between Yuzuha's M2 Full of Colorful Company and the game systems can allow this to be bypassed.

The game does not allow for more than 3 consecutive Chain Attacks. So if you:

  • Use Yuzuha's EX or Ultimate to Trigger a Chain just before stun (1)and pick Character C.
  • Character C's Chain takes the Daze bar to 100 and triggers another Chain (2). Pick Character A or Yuzuha.
  • Character A or Yuzuha's Chain triggers another Chain (3), Pick the remaining character.

3 Chains have been used, so the game will not present any options after and stop. Since the first stun Chain began from (2), this means only 2/3 Chains have been used in the stun period.

Which means that the enemy's Daze bar will still be rainbow, allowing for one more Chain to be triggered. This allows for a "free" Chain cancel, leading to both full triple Chain usage for Decibels and double character Chains within the stun period where it matters most.
