Build Overview

While leveling and going into early maps, do not worry at all about the Gattling Gun setup, or Attack Speed caps - just focus on getting as high Attack Speed, as much Reduced Skill Effect Duration as possible, and 6 Projectiles per attack. The Gattling Gun version comes later once we have acquired some Uniques and is built differently.

Some setups have a number of extra Support Gems - these are suggestions based on the colours of your Sockets, where the first three are usually most critical, and the additional links are what you can use if you for example have a B-G-R-G instead of a B-G-R-R. I am still testing Sacred Wisps - it does seem good now.

This Leveling Setup is based on Jungroan's original Witch Wander Leveling setup, but has been adapted for Kinetic Fusillade leveling.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Gets you onto Kinetic Fusillade ASAP
  • Fun, Fast, Strong
  • Requires more attention to gear, especially weapons, bench-crafts and gem setups

Build Variants

Before we get access to Kinetic Fusillade at Level 12, we use a basic Kinetic Bolt Setup with Holy Flame Totem to supplement our damage

Look out for one or two early Iron Rings to increase your damage on KB, as well as flat added damage to attacks on Gloves

Leveling Uniques

If you are leveling a new character that isn't your first of the league, here are some items that can help speed you up

  • Tasalio's Sign and Praxis. Berek's Grip or Berek's Pass or even Le Heup of All are also good options, later switching into one or two Timeclasp for Reduced Skill Effect Duration
  • Ashcaller should carry you even up to Act 6 or 7
  • Prismweave for some flat damage to Attacks
  • Seven-League Step or Wanderlust
  • Tabula Rasa or 6-LinkThousand Ribbons
  • Thrillsteel for Onslaught, or Goldrim for Resistances
  • Doedre's Tenure are HUGE damage early
  • Karui Ward is nice for Speed and Damage, later switching into Warped Timepiece when you reach Level 50

  • Early Iron Rings can be a huge damage boost
  • Wands: Flat Added Physical or Elemental Damage, or #% increased Spell Damage
  • Boots: increased Movement Speed
  • Gloves: Flat Added Damage to Attacks
  • Jade Amulet to supplement Dexterity requirements
  • Heavy Belt to supplement Strength requirements

Socket colours and links should be prioritised for all other gear slots and Gloves

All of these Gems are available to the Witch early, except for Momentum Support. This can be muled from a Ranger by completing the Twilight Strand (this Support drops from the large Chest in the first area of the game)

Video build guide is out!

  • Sacred Wisps: I'm going to be testing this Support again as it seems that this Support Gem may be functioning after the latest patch (according to Nemrod, the Wisps are actually visible when using the Skill now too). This felt weird in the campaign, so I dropped it, then tried it later and it felt amazing, then later after some testing, it seemed to not be adding as much damage as alternatives such as WED and Volatility, now apparently it is "working" again (?). In instances of the PoB where you see more than five Supports per socket, this is so that you know what to use if Sacred Wisps doesn't feel as good
  • Trinity: in most cases, I've dropped Trinity in favour of Sacred Wisps. The additional benefit to this, if it is as good as expected, is that we can change our Wand slightly
  • Wand Change for Non-Trinity Builds: instead of using flat Cold as a Prefix, instead go for #% increased Spell Damage along with the usual flat Lightning and Penetration. If we don't need the Cold Damage to build Trinity Resonance, #% increased Spell Damage is favourable.

I will confirm ASAP if this change to Sacred Wisps is ideal
