Build Overview

UPDATED TO 0.5

Variation of my Melee Chronomancer build
Also similar setup on Pathfinder

  • This build is example of using 75% Slower Expire rate of Buffs with The Hammer of Faith that will grant Shrine Buffs for 80 Seconds instead of default 20 Seconds
  • While you can make use of this tech in your Lich build if you use Headhunter, that will last close to 3 min, but without Soul Tether build will lack ES Recovery such as Leech and Regen
  • Just in case, can Self Curse at start of Area with Shackles of the Wretched then swap to actual Rare Gloves, or some Unique ones

Lich compared to Pathfinder or Chronomancer for this build

  • Flexible Body Armor slot, because Incessant Cacophony grant infinite duration for Curses, so no Cospri's Will needed
  • Rupture the Soul adds some clearing with explodes
  • Crystalline Phylactery that is basically same as having 2 extra Jewel Slots
  • Necromantic Conduit that provide Unholy Might, with Blood Magic you can ignore it's downside

To get to 75% Slower Expire Rate Cap:

  • Build reaches 65% Slower Expire Rate of any Effects from Temporal Chains
  • Remaining 10% Slower Expire rate only for Buffs from Lasting Boons or Prolonged Assault

How build get 65% Slower Expire Rate of any Effects from Temporal Chains:

  • Heightened Curse
  • Any Focus with 16% Curse Magnitude on Second Weapon Set
  • Master of Hexes
  • Zone of Control
  • 3 Small Passives before Decrepifying Curse
  • 3 Small Passives before Impending Doom
  • Shackles of the Wretched with 20% Curse Magnitude and Snake Idol
  • 2 Jewels with 4% Curse Magnitude, one of which in Crystalline Phylactery
  • In total all this give us 161% Curse Magnitude, then 25% Slower Expire + 161% = 65.25% Slower Expire
  • You can push it above 161% Curse Magnitude if you really want to use Headhunter to make it last as long as possible
  • Not sure it's possible to reach 200% Curse Magnitude to make Temporal Chains provide 75% Slower Expire Rate for any Effects and make Headhunter last 4 minutes

What works specifically with Slower Expire Rate from Temporal Chains, but doesn't work with Slower Expire rate of Buffs:

  • Main use of this tech is of course Headhunter, mods you get from Rares not count as Buffs, so only way to make it last longer is Temporal Chains.
    At 65% Slower Expire Rate, Headhunter buffs will last ~2min 50 sec.
  • Einhar's Beastrite, same as headhunter, at 65% Slower Expire will last ~14 min.
  • And any Skills or Supports that provide Effects that appear on top left part of Screen that aren't buffs.

And for Buffs you reach 75% Slower Expire Rate cap, which means any buffs will last 4 times a long

  • The Hammer of Faith grant Shrine Buffs for 80 Seconds, including Divine Shrine which grant immortality
  • When you swap out from The Hammer of Faith all Shrine buffs disappear, that's why we use Incessant Cacophony to make Temporal Chains have infinite duration and never swap out of maces
  • Astramentis is great solution to fix all attribute requirements, and you don't lose much from not having +3/+4 All Melee Skills Amulet, because Melee Skills don't scale as much with levels as they used to
  • Shackles of the Wretched with 20% Curse Magnitude + Snake Idol
  • Wanderlust is needed to cancel Slow from Temporal Chains, get those boots with Resist Corrupt and even better if it has 2 Sockets as well
  • Soul Tether to get ES Leech, very important it has no "Lose 5% ES" mod. Also preferably "Life Regeneration Applies to Energy Shield instead", so you will get 10% ES Regen, or roughly 1k/Sec. Trade Link
  • Blackflame seems decent for Perfect Strike because we can use Xoph's Pyre, while it's optional and you can try other stuff instead
  • Heroic Tragedy must be Vorana version to get Black Scythe Training
  • Heart of the Well with Extra Fire/Chaos Damage, Crit Damage, etc
  • Two Sapphire with 4% Curse Magnitude, one in Ascendancy Socket is required
  • Couple Ruby with Leech Amount and Damage mods like Attack, Melee, Mace

Blasphemy with Temporal Chains for Rupture the Soul explodes, it might be enough for clear without Herald of Ash, then maybe War Banner should be better instead

Whatever skill you want to use for clearing must have Life Leech III, aside preferably Rapid Attacks II and Cadence.
