Build Overview

Your normal every day twister with a twist. It has extra damage and tankiness!
We are stacking ward and using Olroth's Hubris and Warding Rune of Annihilation we get some massive flat damage.

Works very well at a budget and scales very high and becomes to my knowledge the highest damage version of twister. Capable of one shotting any pinnacle boss.

BIG UPDATE:

Warding Rune of Nourishment is now obtainable since 0.5.2 released, meaning we can get even more ward recovery from flask, or even use Mageblood or Headhunter as a belt

Build Variants

Make sure the Waistgate, The Brass Dome, Tangletongue and the Svalinn are runeforged.
For the Waistgate you wanna make sure you get one with "Life recovery also applies to runic ward"

You can swap out the Svalinn for Guiding Palm of the Eye, that way you can run more spirit gems, for example Herald of Ice.

We are stacking ward, so make sure to runeforge any rare armour piece as well. If you buy a rare item that is not yet runeforged, make sure that version actually gets you a lot of ward, different base types gives you a very different amount. The base types listed in the item section are the best ones.

For jewels: Prioritize a good Heart of the Well and time lost emerald. They can give a ton of value for pretty cheap.
If you find a good Megalomaniac for a decent price, good. Otherwise just use a rare jewel.

Olroth's Hubris is absolutely core to the build, this is where all of our flat damage comes from.

Using Barrage will feel bad until you get Olroth's Conviction for the extra skill uses.

Rakiata's Flow, Rigwald's Ferocity and Olroth's Conviction are all very expensive support gems.
Prioritize in this order:
1. Olroth's Conviction
2. Rakiata's Flow
3. Rigwald's Ferocity

If you are using the version with Guiding Palm of the Eye, consider using Herald of Ice and/or Berserk as well

How it Works

Use your whirling slash to move around, make sure to keep it at lvl 1 to reduce mana cost, we don't care about dealing damage with this skill.

Fire your twisters after using whirling slash at least 4 times for maximum damage. Use barrage whenever you need to to get extra projectiles.

Make sure to flask after using twisters.

Use Refutation before any dangerous situations, like when a boss fight starts. Or when a ritual gets spicy. It practically makes you immortal for 10 seconds and applies a parry debuff on anything hitting you for even more damage.
