Path of Exile 2's upcoming Return of the Ancients update will introduce a new endgame questline: Origins of Divinity, which culminates in an epic encounter with a new Pinnacle Boss: The Arbiter of Divinity.

Upon first interacting with a Precursor Tower, you'll trigger an event in which a massive set of walls are risen from the ground, forming the Fortress.
The Arbiter of Ash's Burning Monolith can be see within the Fortress walls, but this boss is no longer the main Pinnacle for the core Atlas endgame. However, you'll still be able to access your first set of fragments from fixed locations within the Fortress to fight the Arbiter of Ash in order to obtain your Tablet upgrade, enabling the crafting of Rare Tablets thereafter. Note that every Arbiter of Ash spawn beyond the first is no longer fixed, and you must search for Citadels in the Atlas fog of war like before.

The Burning Monolith in the Fortress Walls
The Fortress will contain 6 walled-off segments that each house their own set of Map areas that can be progressed. The completion of each area within these Fortress regions will reward an Atlas Passive Point for the new Atlas Tree, with some areas rewarding more than one point.
In the middle of the Fortress you'll be able to find the new primary Pinnacle boss, the Arbiter of Divinity. The first time encountering this boss will be the quest version, which is easier in terms of difficulty. Subsequent encounters will require you to venture out into the infinite Atlas to find keys from Citadels.

The New Arbiter Pinnacle Encounter
Completion of this encounter will allow you to choose a section of the Fortress to auto-complete, and any map areas that were not previously completed in that region will automatically complete, providing their Atlas Passive Points reward. This means that you can continue to explore the infinite Atlas if you wish to, without giving up the ability to obtain further Atlas Tree points. Do note that the regions found within the walls of the Fortress often have special mechanics that are rarely found when exploring the infinite Atlas, so you may wish to manually complete areas for their rewards.
