Build Overview

This build aims to use Pillar of the Caged God, Hand of Wisdom and Action and Enhanced Effectiveness to achieve some absolutely absurd level of Attribute scaling

It is a tanky, fast build that absolutely wrecks all content. It can be made for a budget but its full potential can really only be explored with a hefty amount of currency.

Big thanks to my good friend Liggles for sharing all his findings and theorycrafting this build with me every single step of the way. Click HERE for his version of the build.

We will anoint Blurred Motion.

We will socket Elemental Resistance/Chaos Resistance and Attack Speed on our Weapon.

We will look for the following Corruptions:
Pillar of the Caged God: Attack Speed
Hand of Wisdom and Action: More Lightning Damage > Extra Socket
Morior Invictus: Extra Socket
Black Sun Crest: 30 Spirit > Extra Socket
Ingenuity: More Bonus Gained from Rings

Before you get Astramentis look for an Amulet with the following affixes: Mana, Mana %, Attributes, Rarity, Life, Resistances

Ideally we will also use a Unique Maelstrom Mana Flask.

Our Morior Invictus should have Elemental Resistance + Attributes.

The philosophy behind our Passive Tree is that Jewels are frankly overpowered. This is doubly true because we get big benefits for traveling to nodes with our Attribute scaling.

It is very important to search for Jewels with a Fire/Cold/Lightning/Chaos Resistance Corruption to help cap our Resistances, if our Resistances are capped we can look for Strength/Dex/Intelligence Corruptions.

We will also want to use an Against The Darkness Unique Jewel with Chaos Resistance + Lightning/Cold/Fire Resistance placed in the Jewel socket by Polymathy.

We also want a Controlled Metamorphosis Unique Jewel with a Very Large, and ideally Massive range to allocate Pure Power, Drenched, and Lightning Quick.

To cap our Elemental Resistances we want 3x Grand Spectrum Sapphire.

If we can get an 80%+ Adorned Jewel we will want to run Magic Jewels everywhere else.

What affixes do we want on these Jewels with Resistance Corruptions?
Ruby: Maximum Rage, Rage on Hit, Maximum Fire Res
Emerald: Lightning Penetration, Shock Chance, Maximum Lightning Res, Freeze Buildup, Attack Speed.
Sapphire: % Mana on Kill, Shock Magnitude, Cold Penetration, Freeze Buildup.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to get 2-4% Mana on Kill on our Jewels.

How it Plays

This build plays in a very simple way. We cast Charged Staff whenever we have Power Charges and spam Ice Strike.

Whenever we're against a particularly tanky Rare, are completely surrounded, or against a Boss we will use Tempest Bell. On bosses we will also use Hand of Chayula to apply Curses and Marks.

On the more expensive Tempest Flurry variant, we will spam Tempest Flurry as it will make us move much faster. Again, we want to keep up Charged Staff and use Tempest Bell for single target.

How it Works

This build is enabled by Gemling's Enhanced Effectiveness, which we then combine with Pillar of the Caged God and Hand of Wisdom and Action to get scaling from Attributes. Items such as Morior Invictus, Black Sun Crest and Astramentis provide us with much more bang for our buck.

Although Attribute stacking seems simple at first, it's not so easy to fit all the pieces together. Capping Resistances can be difficult to do when we are focusing on getting Attributes on our Suffixes, especially when we end up using so many Uniques. One way we get around this Resistance deficiency is by solving it through Jewels.

We can search for already Corrupted Jewels on Trade with Resistances on them. We can also use an Against the Darkness Unique Jewel with Chaos Resistances near Polymathy to further bolster our Resistances.

Something to note is that the ideal setup for our Morior Invictus is Elemental Resistance + Attributes.

The reason why the endgame variant uses Tempest Flurry instead of Ice Strike is because Attack Speed makes us move faster with Tempest Flurry. By making use of Falcon Technique and Falcon Dive we get a lot of Attack Speed from stacking Dexterity. Once our gear is good enough to have high Dexterity and also high Strength and more importantly, Intellect we can transition.
