In this guide I'll feature 2 Endgame Builds.

  • Whirling Assault + Falling Thunder

This build focuses on a Spin to Win gameplay with Whirling Assault being our main ability while getting as many Combo points as possible to then convert them into Power Charges so we can clear the whole screen & 1-shot bosses with Falling Thunder.
There are many techs that you can use and ill list them all in their respective sections below.

  • Ice Strike + Shattering Palm

This build focuses on freezing and shattering everything with Shattering Palm trying to speed through the maps as fast as we can, while keeping abilities like Ice Strike and potentially Falling Thunder for bosses or even map clears.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

In the endgame we prefer going for a good Quarterstaff weapon which will give us an insane boost of damage.
For anyone interested in Hollow Palm Technique, here's some info:

Hollow Palm Technique Explanation:

Hollow Palm Technique scales in 3 ways:

  • Skill Level: The higher your skill level is the better HPT scales. Therefore the higher you are the better
  • Evasion on Gear: The more EV we have the more Attack Speed we get with HPT.
  • Energy Shield on Gear: The more ES we have the more Crit we get with HPT.

HPT is simply a node on our tree, its not a Build on it's own. Whether you go for it or not, depends on whether you have the right gear to support it. Finding a really good Quarterstaff will often times out-dps Hollow Palm Technique.

Good Quarterstaff Mods:

  • Flat Damage (Phys,Light,Cold,Fire)
  • Increased Damage (Phys, Ele)
  • +Level of Skills (Melee, Attack)
  • Crit Hit
  • Crit Dmg Bonus
  • Attack Speed

I HAVE CREATED A SEPARATE GUIDE FOR THE LATE ENDGAME ICE STRIKE BUILD SO ITS EASIER TO IMPORT. THE LEVELING AND EARLY ENDGAME VARIANTS WILL BE TRANSFERED OVER SOON.

LATE ENDGAME ICE STRIKE GUIDE

Build Variants

Build Overview:

We switch to Hollow Palm Technique at level 22 because the Node scales through three main stats: Skill Level, Evasion on Gear, and Energy Shield on Gear.
While it’s possible to swap earlier, at level 13, the build will feel weak and underwhelming without the proper skills, gear, and passive nodes to support it.

We unlock Whirling Assault at level 41 and pair it up with Hollow Palm Technique , and the combo that we create through skills like Mantra of Destruction , Staggering Palm and Tempest Bell make a really smooth and good build for Campaign aswell as Endgame.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────QUARTERSTAFF:

If you find or craft a good Quarterstaff then feel free to drop HPT.
You want to use the spare points into Martial Artistry & Whirling Assault
Find the good QS mods in the items below.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Important Info:

  • Earlier levels ATK Speed will be more useful that crit. So focusing on Evasion on your gear will help.
  • Mantra of Destruction & Staggering Palm are used for both AOE and Bosses as they increase our damage on Whirling Assault significantly.
  • Early on, you might experience some Mana issues, which can easily be solved by:
Conservative Casting OR Mana Leeching OR Pounce with a mark + Mark of Siphoning
  • As in all other Hollow Palm Technique builds, GEAR is very important. Check Vendors regularly.
  • With Whirling Assault we can focus on Elemental Damage or Physical Damage. This build focuses primarily on Physical Damage as it's easier scale in campaign and early Endgame.

If you have any questions, feel free to drop them Live on Twitch.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

We can definitely start with Hollow Palm Technique as it scales in multiple ways. The higher our level and higer our EV/ES the better.

Energy Shield gives us Critical Hit Chance through Hollow Palm Technique.
Evasion gives us Attack Speed through Hollow Palm Technique.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

EARLY GAME:
Both ES & EV are really good, however, early on we scale better with ES over EV, so if you have the option to choose between a high EV Body Armour VS a high ES Body Armour, early on ES wins.

MID/LATE GAME:
At this point going HYBRID EV/ES will be better due to all the Crit Nodes on our Passive Tree.

PRIO:

  • High EV, ES, EV/ES on all items
  • Flat damage on Gloves / Rings
  • +Level of Skills on Gloves / Amulets
  • Movement Speed on Boots
  • Res / Life on Items

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

QUARTERSTAFF

If you get a good Quarterstaff you can drop Hollow Palm Technique:

  • Increased Phys Dmg
  • Flat Dmg
  • +level of melee
  • Atk speed

GREATER JEWELLER ORB PRIO:

Whirling Assault (Pursuit II) > Tempest Bell (Heavy Swing)

SKILL INFO:

  • Whirling Assault: This is our main ''spin to win'' ability, which will damage any enemies around us. Each whirl hits multiple times, which is good for building Combos for the Bell and/or Rage.
  • Staggering Palm: This is our secondary ability which we use when the enemies are Primed from Whirling Assault. This will dash to the enemies buffing our next hits with Projectiles.
  • Tempest Bell: We will use this ability primarily on bosses so we can deal more damage when we hit it with Whirling Assault.
  • Mantra of Destruction: This ability is used when we stack enough Combos to empower our DMG.
  • Herald of Ash: When we overkill enemies, this herald will deal additional fire damage.
  • Herald of Thunder: This is a good choice here for lightning dmg, shock and utilities from Supports.

SKILL ROTATION:

Full Combo AOE:
Whirling Assault > Staggering Palm > Whirling Assault > Mantra of Destruction

Simple AOE:
Whirling Assault spam

BOSS:
Whirling Assault > Tempest Bell > Whirling Assault > Staggering Palm > Mantra of Destruction > Tempest Bell > Whirling Assault
The point of this rotation, is to build up combos with Whirling so you can use Mantra + the Bell. When the boss is Primed, you wanna use Staggering before bursting them down.

ASCENDANCY CHOICES:

Way of the Stonefist will be our first priority here. Even lower lvl Gloves can convert to something insane. Check Mod Conversions here.

Hollow Focus Technique will be second for damage. Followed by Hollow Resonance Technique

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

PASSIVE TREE CHOICES:

The Passive Tree that you see above will cover all points you need all the way to level 61 for the end of the campaign.

However if you get a good Quarterstaff you might want to drop Hollow Palm Technique and get yourself QS Cluster nodes like Martial Artistry & Whirling Assault.

We also have a new Defensive Cluster with nodes like First Principle of the Hollow, First Teachings of the Keeper and The Hollowkeeper.

To be able to unlock The Hollowkeeper you need to firstly grab First Teachings of the Keeper.

How it Plays

Upon entering a Map or an Encounter, use Killing Palm on one Ghost Bell to get a power charge. Use Charged Staff and then proceed to spam Whirling Assault. You will now always generate Power Charges, as long as you have Charged Staff on.

Every 2 Whirling Assault you should have MAX Power Charges, which you will expend by using Falling Thunder. You can also use Mantra of Destruction from time to time.

Rotation should look like:
Whirling Assault > Whirling Assault > Falling Thunder > Whirling Assault > Whirling Assault > Falling Thunder
