Infernal Legion was the dominant minion playstyle in the past year. It was severely nerfed, but entirely offset when used on a high gem level Tame Beast.
Spirit Walker offers pretty good bonuses for both damage and survivability.
Infernal Legion scales its damage based off of the minion's health, so scaling both health and damage is important to the overall output. Emerald Jewels are particularly strong when rolled with both companion modifiers, and allow us to efficiently path around the entire passive tree as the Jewel sockets are of such high value.
Defensively, the build uses its high mana (Eldritch Battery) to absorb damage before health. The damage taken to mana can hit around 90%. This is very useful as the build has very high mana and health regeneration, and allows us to take fairly big hits. Since the build has no armor or evasion, we use our large minion army to prevent most attackers from reaching us, instead of mitigating multi-hits.
