Build Variants
Arc isn't amazing in the early game right now. But once you start generating a good amount of remnants and have Mana Tempest, the build starts to click.
You need at least +30 spirit to be able to use your buffs.
It's preferable to use wand + foci, but if you you get a good staff like the example on this build you should use it. Your Set 2 will be for curses.

We don't stack critical hits with this build, so avoid picking up any affixes that grant +critical chance or +critical damage.

Your Orb and Curse must be in your 2 set. Prioritize quality in Mana Tempest first.

How it Plays
Place your Orbs of Storm on top of you, use Mana Tempest, and finally use Arc until you kill all your enemies.
If the enemy has a lot of health, use Elemental Weakness (which should be in your off-hand) to greatly increase your damage.
How it Works
You will generate Remnants in four different ways. The most traditional will be through the Orb of Storms, then we have the buffs cast on ailments + snap and Siphon Elements. On top of that, we have many nodes (including stormweaver), which will help us with this.
And finally, Arc powered by infusions + orb of storm + Mana tempest will melt the map with lightning everywhere.

I am developing the idea further as I play. That said, the idea behind the build is to go through three different stages progressively.
First, we need to have enough remnants sustain to always be active with Arc.
Second, we need to have enough Energy to start using Chaos Inoculation.
Third, and most long-term, is to decrease the amount of resources used to generate remnants, with the hope of having enough just by filtering what is necessary (such as removing Snap from cast on ailments). And start using Archmage, along with lots of mana gear, new mana nodes, and finally and possibly, Eldritch Battery + Mind over Matter. If the mana stack idea works, I plan to see if I can use the extra points to focus on increasing shock magnitude as well.
