This is a Spark build focusing on maximising its damage through several buffs as is
Mana Tempest ,
Flame Wall and most importantly
Archmage with
Arcane Intensity.
For that reason we are focusing on getting as much mana and intelligence as possible as mana is also our main defensive stat through Mind Over Matter as we lose all ES with
Eldritch Battery. Intelligence not only gives us increased mana pool, but also DPS increase through
Pure Power .
Because we are not gonna be using life as our life pool, we are gonna pick Chaos Inoculation to get chaos damage immunity, which will further boost our defensives together with
Enfeeble .
We will also have insane Crowd Control with Electrocution thanks to Kitoko's Current making enemies die before they can even start moving!

LEVELING BUILD
We can play heavy Energy Shield right off the bat as that will give us tons of survivability as well as mana management through items like The Everlasting Gaze and passives like
Pure Energy ,
Mana Blessing ,
Insightfulness and
Essence Infusion which are extremely close by at the beginning of the tree and combined are very powerful.
Another option is tri-element path. Use Flame Wall to boost
Frostbolt with Unleash midair to instantly freeze enemies and then finish them off with
Spark. Taking
Path of Storms,
Path of Winter for easier CC and more damage, and then
Echoing Frost ,
Echoing Thunder and
Echoing Flames plus eventually
Stormbreaker to max on extra damage per ailment. Get
Kitoko's Current ASAP, especially with this pathing.

Gear in the Equip section is just uniques you might want to look out for! Check stat priorities and further information on what to get, when, how and why!
Early on, Kitoko's Current gloves are a definite must have! As electrocution will further boost our survivability by crowd controlling the enemy and make transitioning into endgame easier. They also give us Dexterity to more easily reach 52 to activate
Voltaic Mark which is especially powerful while we use
Cast on Shock. In single target we will proc
Cast on Shock almost every second thanks to the mark. GET THEM ASAP! Preferably right at level 26 as that will immidiately fix all your "Squishiness".
Another early-game must have piece of equipment is Midnight Braid which gives us mana back based on the damage we take, which is especially important when using
Mind Over Matter to sustain our mana better.

You can change Kitoko's Current as well as
Midnight Braid for normal gloves and belt with extra max mana, intelligence, energy shield and resistances to more easily reach the cap. That is especially needed if using
Morior Invictus and
Mahuxotl's Machination to reach resistance cap as well as to get really high mana pool to scale these items further!

Eventually, you want to play Ingenuity which gives you increased effect of equipped rings and thus you can get another bulk of stats. And is absolute BiS especially in combination with
Dream Fragments. These two items together are the best combo you can get for mana stacking builds.

For a weapon we want to use Wand and Focus as our Wep 1 and a Staff with Sigil of Power as our Wep 2.
Stat priority for a wand
- 4-5 Extra ranks to Lightning skills
- Extra damage as lightning damage (Preferably replace with Lightning Damage additive as once you have a lot of mana, the relative DPS increase through this multiplier will get lower and lower the more you get of it from Archmage)
- Cast speed
- Mana
- Intelligence
- Lightning or Spell Damage (Once you reach endgame, you preferably want both to increase the additive bucket ) or Mana on Kill or Mana Regeneration.
Stat priority for armor pieces (generally the most important is to MAX OUT resistances)

- 6 ranks to ALL spell skills ( To boost our curses and our

When using Morior Invictus, make sure you get 5%+ mana per soul core and 10+ spirit per soul core. But a rare chest with BiS mods and high ES (750+ give or take) is still the more optimal pick, just WAY MORE expensive.

Stat priority for focus (Focus is kind of a mix of a weapon with a shield)

You can also use Mahuxotl's Machination which is an incredibly powerful item, especially if you have Soul Cores for 2% max mana to slot in. That will skyrocket our mana to the sky. This shield will further boost the synergy with other items listed above. Make sure to get 3 socket 600%+ one.

Preferably you want to throw Mana Regeneration in the mix on rings as you can get massive amounts of MP/s when combined with Ingenuity.
Stat priority for amulet
- Spirit ( can be both mod and implicit ) as we want to reach 160-170 for both and with in early game, and later on for . If you want to use both Archmage and CoS in end-game, you might also need it on chest.
- Increased Maximum Mana
- +3 ranks to all Spell skills
- Mana
- Intelligence
- All elemental resistances (or Resistance to X to reach cap) or Mana Regeneration
Anointment on the amulet will be Lightning Rod, but early on, we will use either
Piercing Shot over Pierce to reach 100% together with jewels,
Frazzled, or for example
Icebreaker as a defense option.
Lightning Rod together with
Wild Storm is a massive 45%~ DPS boost.

Runes
- For Body Armour and Helmet we will use Iron Rune to increase the item's Energy Shield and thus our mana ( unless you need to get extra resistances, always have them capped! )
- For our Shield we will use Soul Cores of Zalatl increase our maximum mana
- For small armour pieces we will either use Runes to cap on resistances or Soul Cores of Zalatl

Once you reach comfortable DPS and max resistances, focus on getting as much RARITY of items as possible to improve loot. To around 120%, which is a soft cap.

Focus on getting 4 support slots for Spark and for
Orb of Storms asap! You can do that by using 1x Lesser Jeweller's Orb and then gambling with Vaal Orb. It might take some time and eventually you will have to get another set of these abilities as we will need to unlock 5th slot as well, which cannot be done after the gem was corrupted. But 5th slot won't come online for a long time! Unless you are lucky with drops to buy it early.

We are gonna use Pierce as our support gem of choice on Spark early on to maximise on clear.
Personal recommendation for first 3 support gems on Spark, for a mix of AoE and Single Target DPS, is Arcane Tempo, Persistence and Pierce. You can also choose to get 5x Emeralds with 20% projectile pierce and/or megalomaniac diamond with
Piercing Shot ( very expensive ) or later on reroll into
Branching Bolts instead, which is mandatory to do after we instill
Lightning Rod as we will need to use Controlled Destruction on our
Spark.
Then we get either Inspiration for better mana sustain or Acceleration for more damage as our 4th slot. With the other one of the two being our 5th. Early on I recommend Inspiration to be used on Mana Tempest with Culling Strike and Premeditation as we usually won't have enough mana and stats for
Archmage to come online. And DPS gem on
Spark plus mana conserving gem on
Mana Tempest will grant you the highest DPS.
You can choose to go Branching Bolts immidiately for chaining over piercing, in which case you would replace Pierce with for example Rising Tempest while still using
Flame Wall.
Once you get Lightning Rod it is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE! to replace either Pierce or Rising Tempest with Controlled Destruction to remove the possibility to crit from
Spark !!!

For our Orb of Storms, we want to get Lightning Exposure asap with Strip Away and Overabundance. I recommend asking in trade or looking online for Uncut Support Gem 3 to unlock Exposure as they go for like 0.01 exalted orb these days and you can get them right at the beginning of the game. Or ... almost.
If you cannot get your hands on them, then definitely go for Font of Mana for better mana sustain instead. Which will later become either your 4th slot or 5th slot depending on whether you need extra mana regeneration or whether you just wanna do more DPS through Overcharge. Magnitude of shock is very important as our goal is to reach 2x 100%!
For that reason, we want to be able to eventually sustain mana without Font of Mana and instead use Conduction.
As I previously stated, we are gonna start with Cast on Shock as it is much easier to get rolling and in combination with
Voltaic Mark it procs all the time even after the nerf letting us one one shot bosses/priority mobs. Once we have enough stats to start using
Archmage, we will remove it till later, when we use it again.

To better sustain mana, we are also using Mana Remnants early on with Clarity, Cannibalism and Vitality before we start using
Mind Over Matter. And will continue to use MR with Clarity untill we can slot in
Cast on Shock. Before you slot in
Eldritch Battery, I suggest using
Grim Feast over MR with the same support gems.

Early on, we will also use Flame Wall to further boost our damage. Later, we will replace this with
Blink for better mobility during fights, playing Breaches or just collecting gear faster. We will also move Ingenuity from
Sigil of Power to
Blink so we can use it more often.

Once we have enough stats and sustain in our build with items like %mana on kill Jewels, we will remove Mana Remnants and put
Cast on Shock back in to further increase our, mostly single target, damage. For that reason, get 170 spirit combined on amulet and chest to be able to also use Clarity on our
Archmage.

Archmage + Lightning Mastery +1 skill from corruption and 20% quality (high risk high reward of corrupting after maxing out quality) is the BIGGEST DPS INCREASE we could ever get as it will exponentially scale with our mana.

This build focuses on curses to get extra survivability ( Enfeeble ) and reduce enemy resistances (
Conductivity ) combined with applying Lightning Exposure using
Orb of Storms to make enemies take ungodly amounts of lightning damage with no way to protect themselves against it. Combine this with
Scouring Winds that increase the base exposure from 20% to 40% and we are looking at more than -100% lightning resistance on enemies combined!
Our curses also gets further boosted with passives like Master of Hexes,
Lingering Whispers,
Impending Doom,
Fated End and
Zone of Control making them extremely potent in our build.
Conductivity will also spread on enemies thanks to Hex Bloom and thus we won't have to keep recasting it while chain pulling or in big pulls in general. In super endgame, you will use this pretty much only against bosses or when your gear ain't high enough yet to one shot everything with just
Spark.
Eventually, Enfeeble will be able to cover half of the screen and provide a super long lasting 40% damage reduction!!!!

Chaos Inoculation is not recommended before you have ~3000 mana, maxed out elemental resistances, good mana regen and a jewel with %2 mana per kill for sustain.

We have 123 skill points to distribute, but each skill points lets you distribute both weapon set 1 and weapon set 2, meaning we can essentially go over 123 skill points and power up our build if we use weapon sets accordingly. In our case it is DPS abilities W1 and curse abilities W2.

We are taking Constant Gale and
Strike Twice as our first 2 Ascendancies followed either by
Force of Will if you have loads of mana already or
Scouring Winds if you do not to further boost our exposure.

As this build focuses on getting many ranks to our abilities and proccing Cast on Shock often, we will need
Conservative Casting to easily sustain our mana.
We are taking Wild Storm as it also increases the value of
Lightning Rod. On it's own, LR is around 25% DPS increase, but with WS, it is 30% extra damage!
If you get Agains the Darkness Diamond with %maximum mana per small node + either extra damage as lightning or %maximum intelligence, place it under Lightning Quick to maximise on its effect. In this case, I would even more 3 points away from the last jewel slot under
Touch the Arcane and took
Drenched for not only some extra DPS and Shock Chance, but also increased value to the Against the Darkness Diamond.
We are also using Dynamism to increase our damage further and to increase energy gain for our
Lightning Conduit. We might theoretically go for
Invocated Efficiency as well, but that would require us to have all 123 points available, which is very hard to achieve.

We can also remove the points from Dynamism as well as
Open Mind and
Whispers of Doom and instead take 2 more jewel sockets. That would not only give us another 20 intelligence, which would get further boosted ( if available ) through our Against the Darkness Diamond. And we would also get more value out of Adorned Diamond if we ever get that. To be honest, even without Adorned, we could get an extra 40% magnitude and other beneficial stats.
Now .. if we did that, we would lose Enfeeble and thus we would only use
Conductivity. So instead of Hex Bloom and Focused Curse, we would add 4th socket and move supported gems from
Enfeeble there to give us massive AoE of extra DPS. So it is a more glass cannony variant. It would also make it easier to slot in
Soul Offering for even more DPS against pinnacle bosses.

For jewels, we are gonna be using either Sapphires or Emerlands as those give us the most benefit for our build.

- 2% Mana on kill - MUST HAVE ( This will allow us to have literally infinite mana, especially when we get more of these, which in turn will also make us immortal as infinite mana = infinite life thanks to
Mind Over Matter, especially since this build does not use
The Everlasting Gaze )

- Cast Speed or Skill Effect Duration
- Spell, Elemental or Lightning Damage

Time-Lost Jewels
Some examples for good Time-Lost Diamonds are to get increased mana and/or intelligence based on the number of small or notable passives in the area (Against the Darkness Diamond). In our case the area around Lightning Quick is probably the only good area for time-lost jewels as we do not really pick many nodes close to jewel socket elsewhere, this is especially true when using
Branching Bolts.
Megalomaniac Diamond - In perfect world, we would use this with Frazzled and
Piercing Shot ( or another beneficial passive ) anointed like
Wellspring when combined with Maelstrom Potion,
Electrocution when using Electrocute on Spark for massive crowd control,
Offensive Stance when using a shield. There are many good options and it all really comes down to your budget or preference.
And then we would top it off with Adorned for massive boost to everything and million DPS tooltips 😂
