This league, we are abusing increased limits on Orb of Storms with the synergy of Elemental Equilibrium cold infusions to giga buff Spark. STAFF STAT PRIO:

1. + level of all spell skills / + level to lightning spell skills

2. cast speed

3. % spell damage / % lightning damage

4. gain % as extra ele damage (all of them are great, i would prio cold and lightning over fire slightly)

AMULET STAT PRIO:

1. + level of all spell skills / + level of all projectile skills

2. cast speed

3. spirit (expensive)

4. energy shield

5. life

6. mana regen

REST OF GEAR:

1. High Life and Energy shield

2. Cap your resistances

This is a rough example of the sort of damage stats you will be looking for on gear. I am listing alot of stats per gear slot because its not realistic to expect to get fully perfect gear, and it will make the search for gear easier/cheaper if the list is bigger. Generally speaking, the higher up on the list, the more impactful the stat is, but realistically everything I listed is quite impactful.

Remember to cap your resistances, and try and get as much life an energy shield as possible! on a leaguestart, we will value both life and energy shield, but later on we will drop life completely to go full energy shield defenses.

Click the blue 'show filters' button the top right of that link, and under the requirements section for 'level', edit in your character current level under the 'max' field (I defaulted it to level 30). This will search for the best weapon that your current character can equip, that costs 10 exalted orbs or less. If it doesn't show anything, lower the 'weighted sum' (default at 450) and try again. Once you pass act 3, you can change the search method in the top right to 'instant buyout and inperson trade' because you will have unlocked async trade via NPC Ange.

Make sure to click the grey 'sum' button under the item stats, if you want to search for the highest damage option. Searches always default to lowest price, and if you want the cheapest rather than the highest damage, just leave it as is instead.

SKILL PROGRESSIONS:

There are 5 separate pages that show the skills and supports you should be using, as well as which acts you will unlock them in. I have also included a written explanation of how and why you should be using these spells and supports.

ACT 1 SKILL USAGE:

Spark is picked up in the first zone and will be a major part of our damage for the entire campaign. It is also used to trigger multiple Orb of Storms. I personally bind Spark to right click and Orb of Storms to left click on the mouse.

Frost Bomb amplifies all of our damage by applying Exposure to enemies. I would mainly use this on bosses. Make sure you keep the gem leveled, because it can lose the Exposure effect if the gem level falls too far behind the enemy level.

Orb of Storms is going to become a massive damage dealer for us. Every time a spell is cast within range of the orb, it shoots out lightning that chains through enemies. In Act 1, our setup drops double Orb of Storms every time we press the button thanks to Unleash combined with Overabundance I. In Act 3, we grab +1 Orb of Storms limit on the passive tree, giving us 3 orbs that all deal massive chaining damage every time we cast Spark.

Flame Wall amplifies the damage of Spark bolts that pass through it. This is the least important button in the build by far, but it does help with damage, and you can pre-load it on bosses if you want to.

Mana Remnants should be your first aura, and dramatically helps mana sustain.

ACT 2 SKILL USAGE:

The skill gems to not change at all, but we prioritize our first lesser jewellers on Orb of Storms and add supports to various skill gems.

ACT 2 FREE LESSER JEWELLER ORB

In the 'Mastodon Badlands' zone, complete the league mechanic (Rune of Aldar Remnant) and it will drop a guaranteed lesser jeweller orb that we should use on our Orb of Storms. In order to get this reward, you need to clear the Orok Campsite and open the rare chest, which will drop the jeweller orb!

ACT 3 FREE LESSER JEWELLER ORB

The very first zone in act 3 (before the encampment) has a guaranteed lesser jeweller orb that we should use on our Spark. In order to get this reward, you need to clear the Orok Campsite and open the rare chest, which will drop the jeweller orb!

ACT 4 FREE GREATER JEWELLER ORB

The first zone in Ngakanu as you complete act 4, will guarantee drop a Greater Jewellers Orb from the league mechanic, which you should use on Orb of Storms

QUEST REWARDS:

venom crypts: 25% increased mana regeneration

tattoos: all 3 resistances

ASCENDANCY ORDER

The order is pretty flexible honestly, as there are alot of powerful options in here.

My suggested progression:

1. Constant Gale - grants Arcane Surge

Helps greatly with mana sustain, gives decent damage as well. You should take this with your first ascendancy point.

2. Strike Twice - targets can be affected by 2 of your shocks at the same time, 25% less magnitude

Shock was buffed to last 8 seconds, and being able to apply double shock will be a nice damage boost.

3. Shaper of Storms - All damage can shock

Note that as soon as you get Call of the Brotherhood you NEED to have this node or else you cannot shock. You can very cheaply respec out of Constant Gale to get this immediately from the Hooden One (i paid 12k gold or something to do it)

4. Storm's Recollection

You already should be getting near infinite cold remnants but now you definitely will be.


WEAPON SETS

2nd weapon set is meant for Frost Bomb during the campaign, in order to increase exposure effect. Later on, we can optionally move Elemental Weakness onto the second weapon set as well, to scale up its duration and effect as well. The 2nd weapon set passives are meant to scale up damage with utility effects, rather than with straight up direct damage nodes.

1st weapon set has all other spells, and we choose damage nodes for the 1st weapon set passives.

Atlas Tree

Bottom left of this tree makes you faster, stronger, and gives you occasional divine orbs via researchers strongboxes (which you should always Alchemy orb).

The rest of the tree makes waystones harder, and also more rewarding.

How it Plays

This build leverages increased spell limit to create an incredibly powerful damage setup built around our main skills: Spark and Orb of Storms, combined with Unleash support.

Unleash builds up to 3 charges on Orb of Storms, so when we tap it, we unload a huge burst of damage. These charges build up while running between packs, and they also passively build up while fighting bosses.

For clearing, the combo is simple. Tap Orb of Storms β€” I recommend binding this to left mouse button β€” to instantly drop triple orbs. Then tap/hold Spark β€” I recommend binding this to right mouse button β€” to instantly fire out volleys of Spark bolts, which will trigger the three Orb of Storms to shotgun the screen. When your Orb of Storms runs out, repeat the process.

For bossing, the core setup is exactly the same, but before you burst, you debuff the boss with Frost Bomb and Elemental Weakness. These massively amplify our damage and make the Orb of Storms + Spark combo hit much harder.

Sigil of Power can be pre-cast on the ground as the boss is coming out of an invulnerability animation. This gives us a powerful damage buff while we are standing on the sigil and casting our spells.

How it Works

Quest rewards to take:

3) tattoos - lightning resist/cold res/fire resist - act 4
4) mana recovery from flask - act 4
5) shark fin quest - 30% es - act 4
6) boon - resistances - interlude


FAQ:

Q: How do I solve mana?

Efficiency II on all skill gems, anoint Conservative Casting on amulet, Mana Remnants with Storm's Recollection for additional remnants and pickup radius, mana regeneration on gear (ie Flowing Raiment base for free extra regen), Efficient Casting on tree, 2% Mana on kill on Sapphire, Clarity II spirit gem if you have extra spirit, mana regen on ring. These are alot of examples and you don't have to do all of them.

Zenith II will also help reduce mana cost and you should put this on all your damage spells if your mana cost gets solved with it. It reduces mana cost, adds 30% more damage, but only if you do not drop below 90% mana.

Q: Why am I being one-shot after swapping to CI
