His Scattering Calamity is one of the most fun skills in the game. It uses simple interactions and has extremely high base damage with no mana cost, allowing us to make full use of mana scaling through the staff and
Archmage.
The skill is obtained via "The Unborn Lich" staff. It would normally function in a manner similar to
Ember Fusillade where you would channel for a while, and then embers would be sent flying to enemies. By reducing out skill effect duration, we can make it so that these projectiles fly out immediately, and using Sione's Temper we only have to press out attack button 5 times before sprinting into the next pack of enemies while everything gets destroyed thanks to that and our
Cast on Critical. We make use of
Arc and
Snap in our
Cast on Critical setup for insane clear. Feel free to swap out both of these for
Comet and Concentrated Area for bossing if you are lacking single target.
We use
Mind Over Matter to convert our mana to our EHP and can sustain the high life costs from archmage thanks to Lifetap and
Vitality Siphon. We make use of
Mana Remnants to keep our mana topped up constantly while mapping, adding an extra layer of survivability. Once you have enough spirit, we can make use of
Thaumaturgic Generator and
Charge Regulation for a huge bonus to our crit chance.
Please read the notes in section 4 [Equipment] - I have included stat priorities for each piece of gear. The gear equipped in the loadout is gear I personally wore, and as a result, some items in the medium budget have stats that don't benefit us (like adds x physical damage to attacks)
This build can be played from Lvl 78 onwards (Use a lvl 18
His Scattering Calamity). If you need to level a Witch, I can reccomend ED Contagion or Plants.
You can use a perfect jewellers orb on this staff for a 5 link and a Perfect Flux to level it lvl 20 (Keep in mind this might be more expensive than just buying a lvl 20 staff)
Get some form of "Recover mana on kill" to be even more comfortable when mapping (Ring or Jewel).

182 Spirit (20% quality on
Archmage) & (20% quality on
Cast on Critical) or 181 Spirit if one of them has 23% quality.
Pay attention to weapon set points or the build will feel bad (Weapon set 2 used for all skills, Weapon set 1 for
Elemental Weakness only)
FAQ:
Q - Why are my wellspirites not shooting out as fast as yours?
A - Make sure you have allocated the correct weapon set points, and that your staff is in your actual weapon set 2 (Press X if you are on PC to check). Double check your support gems.
Q - Can I use
Mageblood or
Headhunter?
A - Yes, just switch back to
Ingenuity if you are going to do a pinnacle boss.
Q - I can't activate all my spirit buffs
A - Please read the spirit requirements in "Build variants". In many cases you are missing quality on
Archmage or
Cast on Critical
Q - How much crit chance should I have?
A - Around 60% (If you are on the medium budget or lower) is fine
Q - Whats the best way to improve my damage?
A - A better staff, + Spell Skills, Mana, Critical hit chance/Damage
