Overview

This team looks to take advantage of the Charge Reaction (Remora + Blossom), combining Lakshana, Cosmos, and Anima.

Charge grants Ultimate Energy when the enemy is struck with hits from the Blossom plan turrets. This setup creates a constant reaction and Ultimate charging team, leading to satisfying combat.

Zero's Instant Cycle trait, which allows them to charge their Esper Meter to full upon using Skill allows for frequent reactions, making Charge easy to proc.

This team combines the basics:

  • Cosmos Zero
  • Anima Jiuyuan
  • Lakshana Hathor
  • Flex Haniel

For other options, you can run the F2P versions of Anima/Lakshana with Mint or Skia. Nanally also works as a Limited option.

For the flex slot, you can also run Daffodill as a Burst DPS / Breaker to fill in some downtime. She can also make the team easier to play as you won't accidentally use up any Esper Meter as Daffodill will not react with any of the other three Elements.

Lastly, Chiz is an option you can run in the team as well since she is Cosmos. Fully built, she likely will do more damage than Zero, but she won't charge her Meter anywhere near as quickly. You can potentially move Zero to the flex slot and equip Speedy Hedgehog (S) on them instead in this setup as well.

How to Play

Overall Concept

At it's core, you simply want to trigger Charge as much as possible, and also have your best DPS be on-field to gain the Ultimate Energy as the Blossoms hit the enemy.

For some, you may want to invest most into Zero, Jiuyuan, Hathor, Nanally, etc.

In other downtime, you'll be using the team's skills and ultimates to charge more meter.

Start of Combat Charge

At the start of combat, if all your meters are empty, the easiest way to proc Charge will be to fill Zero's Meter with Skill, then save it until your skill is off cooldown again to quickly utilize 2 Meters.

For example at start of combat:

  • Zero Skill -> Meter Fully Charged
  • Swap to Flex Character Haniel (should not be Anima/Lakshana)
  • Use Haniel Skill for buff
  • Swap to other characters to deal some BAs / Redirects
  • Swap back to Zero
  • Swap to Jiuyuan -> proc Blossom
  • Swap back to Zero -> Skill -> Meter Fully Charged
  • Swap to Hathor -> proc Remora
  • Proc Charge -> cycle through team's skills and Ultimates for damage

Charge Quick Swap

From here, your Lakshana & Anima characters will naturally gain Meter as well, so you don't need to do the full double Zero skill to proc charge.

When Hathor Esper Meter is full:

  • Swap to Zero -> Trigger Remora
  • Zero Skill / naturally fill Meter
  • Swap to Jiuyuan -> Trigger Blossom
  • Trigger Charge

When Jiuyuan's Meter is full, simply do the opposite order to trigger Charge again.

Additional Notes

Reaction Ordering

It doesn't matter which you proc first between Blossom and Remora. Remora will mark the enemy, and Blossom will setup plant turrets that periodically attack enemies.
Charge happens when the Blossom turret hits a Remora marked enemy.

Reaction Duration

Remora lasts for 5 seconds while Blossom should last longer. However, Hathor Esper Passive increases the duration of Remora to 12 seconds. Blossom lasts around 10 seconds by default, so don't overuse your Meter. You can technically trigger Blossom more, as more procs will simply result in more Energy, but Remora only needs to be procced every 5/12 seconds if using Hathor.

Saving Meter

It's important that you be intentional with who you swap to. If you Charge by cycling Jiuyuan -> Zero -> Hathor, and Hathor has full Meter, don't swap to Zero too soon. This will trigger Remora too quickly while you had just procced it.

You can always swap from Jiuyuan <-> Hathor as they will not react together. Depending on your flex character, this will change your team dynamic as well.
