Overview

Lacrimosa's best Scorch team features Sakiri as a top support, taking minimal field time while Lacrimosa acts as the main carry. Sakiri also packs a team-wide ATK buff, a stacking DoT multiplier, and enemy grouping ability. Adler is another key enabler who adds a third DoT, several debuffs to enemies, and puts up a shield for allies. With this comp, we maintain Scorch (Chaos + Incantation) on enemies all the time.

This team can double as a Discord team if paired with a Psyche character (Fadia or Haniel), or focus on break with Daffodill. Even Baicang is an option for the 4th slot, playing as a quick swap burst character instead of full DPS.

In Beyond the Rails endgame mode, this team is best matched with Hotori Nanally Blossom Team on the other half. It’s also one of the top contenders for clearing the highest difficulty High-Risk Anomalies.

This team combines these elements:

  • Chaos: Lacrimosa
  • Psyche: Fadia
  • Incantation: Sakiri, Adler

We have a Lacrimosa + Sakiri core, they are very hard to replace and go perfectly together. However, it has a flex 4th slot, and sometimes a flex 3rd slot, but replacing Adler changes the rotation drastically. Haniel can replace Fadia, and Baicang can replace either Fadia or Adler.

The best character to hold the Speedy Hedgehog support set in this team is Sakiri, for a team-wide ATK buff and faster Ultimate energy regeneration.

Lacrimosa uses the best DPS Arc available and the Chaos Module set, while Fadia builds full HP% for both survivability and DPS, and Adler builds DEF% for shield strength and DPS.

Make sure the Cycle Intensity on Sakiri and Adler is as low as possible, preferably zero. While Lacrimosa has one or two substats of Cycle Intensity to be the one triggering Scorch. This way, Lacrimosa Crit DMG stat contributes to Scorch DMG, which scores Crit hits at a fixed 50% rate.

How to Play

Overall Concept

We focus on giving Lacrimosa maximum field time, buff DoT through Sakiri’s passive, and apply as many DoTs as possible. Sakiri, Adler, and Fadia don't take field time, they can simply use skill and Ultimate and swap out. Building Esper Meter is not a problem with Lacrimosa taking most of the field time, since Scorch lasting for 12 seconds on enemies.

We don’t actively seek to trigger Nova in this rotation, as Scorch takes much higher priority. But against bosses, you can simply parry to refill Esper meter several times and include Nova and Discord in the rotation.

At A0, Lacrimosa doesn’t fully utilize her own passive (burst damage when Discord is triggered on broken enemies), because parrying requires an active enemy, not a broken one. However, with one dupe you may pick A6: Morning Spell, which enables Lacrimosa to trigger an extra free reaction after using her copied monster skill. This makes Discord much more consistent.

Sakiri groups enemies with her skill. To avoid interruption, use her skill and immediately swap her out. That’s a solution for one of her problems, and because Lacrimosa is the one building Esper Meter for Scorch, we don’t care about Sakiri’s slow build up.

Instant Esper Meter Refill

Beside Lacrimosa’s A6 or parry, there’s no other instant Esper Meter refill.

Natural Esper Meter Refill

In this Scorch team, Lacrimosa is the character who refills her Esper Meter fastest, especially with dodge counters and two uses of her skill (one monster skill, and one normal skill after using 5x combo). So she’s the one triggering most Scorch reactions.

In long fights, other characters will eventually refill their meter and add extra reaction, allowing a Nova and Discord to trigger for more burst DPS.

If you want to save a reaction when an Esper Meter refills, switch from Fadia to an Incantation character (Sakiri and Adler) or vice versa, until Lacrimosa refills her Meter. Lacrimosa can’t save her Meter while refilling another character’s.

Ultimate Energy Gain

All of Lacrimosa, Sakiri, and Fadia will gain Ultimate energy quickly. Lacrimosa through normal attacks, dodge counters, and skill casts. Fadia passively gains it by taking and dealing damage from off-field. Sakiri through energy generation efficiency from Speedy Hedgehog (S)

Meanwhile Adler doesn’t really care about using his Ultimate, his function is debuffing enemies through his passive upon triggering Scorch, and applying DoT through his skill.

Scaling Lacrimosa Damage

As a hyper carry team, Lacrimosa’s Scorch team focuses on herself first and foremost, then on some allies' gimmicks.

  • Lacrimosas DPS is split between:
    • Direct hits: scales with the four DPS stats (ATK%, Chaos DMG%, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG)
    • Nightmare DoT: scales with (ATK%, Chaos DMG%, and CRIT DMG)
    • Nightmare DoT has a fixed 50% CRIT Rate (like every DoT in game). and stack up to ten times.
    • Scorch: scales with (Cycle Intensity, and CRIT DMG), with a fixed 50% CRIT Rate.

Make sure the Cycle Intensity on Sakiri and Adler is as low as possible, preferably zero. While Lacrimosa has one or two substats of Cycle Intensity to be the one triggering Scorch. This way, Lacrimosa’s CRIT DMG stat contributes to Scorch DMG, instead of taking that stat from Sakiri and Adler.

This also means with Lacrimosa, we prefer the CRIT Rate to CRIT DMG ratio to lean more toward CRIT DMG if not achieving the golden 1:2 ratio.

Scaling Team Damage

  • Adler's DoT Evil's Bane scales with (DEF%, Incantation DMG%, and CRIT DMG)
  • Fadia makes enemy Max HP smaller with each Nova reaction. This scales with:
    • Fadia's base Max HP
    • Frequency of triggering Nova (Parry with Fadia helps)
  • Break damage
    • Break damage is counted from the Break Intensity stat, which is a team sum stat. Break Intensity on any character adds to the total break damage.
    • You can stack Break Intensity on Sakiri (main and substats), Fadia (substats), and Adler (substats). Don’t waste Lacrimosa stats on Break Intensity.
    • Save allies’ Esper Meter for when Lacrimosa’s Esper Meter is also full. This way, you can trigger both Scorch and Nova in sequence, to trigger Discord for a massive break.
    • If you manage to trigger Discord on a broken enemy, Lacrimosa deals an additional burst hit.

Rich Text

At the beginning of combat in Beyond the Rail mode, all characters start with:

  • Empty Esper Meter
  • Fully charged Ultimate

That means all characters start battle with their Ultimate, but in the second rotation, some don't have Ultimate ready. Fadia will easily regenerate her Ultimate energy from sharing damage with the team and reflecting damage, and Lacrimosa will regenerate it with every normal attack, dodge counter, or skill used.

First Rotation

  • Open with Sakiri’s Ultimate to kick off the team buffs.
  • Use Sakiri's skill to gather, and swap out before animation finishes.
  • Use Fadia’s Ultimate and skill
  • Swap to Lacrimosa and use Ultimate (applies 5 Nightmare stacks)
  • Use Lacrimosa’s monster skill, then swap out before animation finishes.
  • Use Adler’s Ultimate and skill to add the second DoT (10s duration)
  • Swap Lacrimosa back quickly and switch to ranged mode.
  • Use 5x normal attack combo to reset cooldown on her normal skill
    • 5x combo applies 10 Nightmare stacks, but takes longer than 3s, so some stacks will run out.
  • Use normal skill (applies 5 Nightmare stacks), which combos into 5th normal attack
  • Use dodge counter whenever possible (applies 6 Nightmare stacks and refill both Esper Meter and Ultimate energy)
  • 5x normal attack combo
  • Monster skill, and swap out to Sakiri (If Lacrimosa’s Esper Meter is full by now, this triggers Scorch as the 3rd DoT)

The first rotation concludes, taking barely more than 16 seconds. None of the characters besides Lacrimosa and Fadia have their Ultimate nearly full. Only Lacrimosa has her Esper meter full - or already used it. Which alters the second rotation slightly, not drastically, as the team doesn’t rely on Ultimate to function.

Second Rotation & Beyond

  • Always use team skills on cooldown.
  • When allies' Ultimates are ready, swap to them, use it, then swap back quickly
  • With dodge counters, Lacrimosa fills Esper Meter quickly, and with parries, she fills it instantly. You can also parry with Fadia or Sakiri to trigger one reaction from allies and one from Lacrimosa. This allows you to trigger Discord.
  • When Esper Meter is full, prioritize swapping to Incantation characters for Scorch.
  • Use allies' normal attacks if their Ultimate is almost full and needs one or two more hits.

Additional Notes

  • You can dash-cancel Lacrimosa's animation on 4th and 5th combo to save 1-2 seconds.
  • Baicang in 4th slot will extend the rotation duration, but he will refresh Scorch when applying Power Word and will add 4th DoT with his Ultimate.
  • Using Daffodill instead will require quick swapping her in and out to use Phantom Step, if performed with precise timing, she takes barely 1 second field time. She will boost break damage, and add good DPS on her own.
  • Haniel may also play in 4th slot, building DPS stats for her off-field damage. She will benefit from Sakiri’s buff.
