Overall Concept
We focus on building up the reactions on the bottom side of the Esper Circle.
Fadia is a Psyche character who builds up Esper Meter quickly through parries to trigger Nova.
Daffodill is a Chaos character who swaps on-field at least three times to perform her rotation and build Esper Meter for Scorch.
Sakiri gathers enemies and provides ATK buffs.
Hotori is there to replicate the entire team’s skills, to generate more Cycle energy and Ultimate energy, and to enable Daffodill to break the enemy further.
When Nova meets Scorch, we trigger Discord to break a huge portion of the enemy’s Stagger Bar. And with all of
Daffodill bonuses for breaking and damage boost against a broken enemy, we get excellent team DPS.
Instant Esper Meter Refill
Parry is the only way to get instant Esper Meter refills in a Discord team at v1.0 (Lacrimosa will change that with her Awakening at v1.1).
Fadia is an excellent character to parry with, she’s tanky and her kit has bonuses for parrying.
Fadia triggers Nova reaction by switching to
Daffodill with full Esper Meter. Time this correctly when
Daffodill’s Esper Meter is near full, to trigger Scorch closely after. You have a 5-second window to trigger Scorch and Discord, before Nova bursts up and is removed from the enemy.
Natural Esper Meter Refill
The second-best character to refill her Esper Meter is
Daffodill, by swapping in more often to attack with her two stacks of Phantom Step. Players are also encouraged to use dodge counters with Daffodill to refill her Esper Meter faster.
You can also perform the parry with
Sakiri, to fill her Esper Meter since she's the slowest to fill naturally. In that case, you reverse the reactions order, Scorch from
Sakiri to
Daffodill, and Nova from
Daffodill to
Fadia. Parrying with
Hotori is useless and a waste, but thanks to her time stop, the chance of needing to parry with her is very slim
Ultimate Energy Gain
Fadia is the fastest character to regain her Ultimate energy by taking damage and dealing damage while off-field. In reality, she might even refill it long before her cooldown ends. So always make sure to use
Fadia’s Ultimate on her 20-second cooldown. This recovers her HP and enables Fadia to deal burst Mental DMG, and enable her to perform Parry easier (Due to her long animation)
Sakiri will fill her Ultimate fairly fast, thanks to the Speedy Hedgehog set. So her buffs are up a fair amount of time. And
Daffodill can regain Ultimate energy through the several swaps in.
Hotori on other hand without a Charged reaction, has a fixed time to regain her full Ultimate. 10 Seconds to use skill, 20 seconds more to use Ultimate. And after using her Ultimate, she can replicate all recorded skills of team to hasten their Ultimate energy gain and Esper Meter refill.
Scaling Team Damage
Unlike hyper carry teams, Daffodill’s Discord team accumulates damage from various sources.
Fadia makes enemy Max HP smaller with each Nova reaction. Scales with:- Fadia base Max HP
- Frequency of triggering Nova (Parry with Fadia helps)
Daffodill rotation- Enchanted Skill: becomes available after the team performs two reactions
- 2x Phantom Step: enabled by Ultimate, performed by swapping her out and in again.
- Ultimate: use her attacks more often to generate Ultimate energy
Hotori rotation- Use her skill only when team’s cooldowns ends
- Start with Hotori’s skill then follow with all of team’s skills
- Use her Ultimate while Sakiri’s Ultimate is up
- Break damage
- Perform the breaking hit with
Daffodill - Stack Break DMG stat on Daffodill
- Don’t use
Hotori’s Ultimate on an almost-broken enemy. Enemy’s Stagger Bar will reach zero, but the time stop will prevent it from breaking. - Save Nova or Scorch for when another ally has their Esper Meter full, so you trigger both quickly enough to trigger Discord
- Scorch & Nova damage
- Nova at level 60 hits for about 15k burst damage without investment.
- It’s not worth wasting
Daffodill’s stats on Cycle Intensity in a Discord team. ADC and Break damage stats are more valuable to her. - It’s worth building Cycle Intensity on
Sakiri for minor damage increase with Scorch.
