Overall Concept
You need to give
Chaos most of the field time, to keep building the Crime Bar, and gain Ultimate energy. At the same time, you want the Charge reaction to keep going.
Luckily,
Chaos himself builds his Esper Meter with a fair speed to trigger Remora. Meanwhile, Zero takes care of triggering Blossom on a 16-second cooldown.
Jiuyuan is very effective against AOE enemies, as she groups them for
Chaos. She also doubles the number of Blossom buds spawned, which doubles the energy regeneration from Charge reaction. Meanwhile,
Hathor doesn’t need to do anything in particular, maybe swap her in occasionally.
Instant Esper Meter Refill
Zero’s skill grants 100 Cycle Energy upon use, which fills
Zero’s Esper Meter in one go. You are better off saving this to use after triggering Remora, to have Blossom and Remora going hand-in-hand for maximum Charge triggers.
Natural Esper Meter Refill
With 3 repeats of Chaos’ 5x combo,
Chaos fills his Esper Meter, and can trigger Remora on his own. It’s very effective since he stays on-field most of the time, dealing damage and building the Crime Bar.
Jiuyuan and
Hathor will rarely build their Esper Meter, but that’s fine with Chaos building enough on his own, and Remora preferring one long trigger versus repeated triggers..
Ultimate Energy Gain
Charge reaction will take care of
Chaos’ Energy regeneration.
Zero will gain energy fairly quickly with Charge efficiency on their weapon and Cartridge. While
Hathor and
Jiuyuan build theirs slowly over several rotations without impacting the flow of combat.
Triggering Chaos’ passive for a massive burst
This comes from applying Remora with
Hathor in the team to extend Remora duration to 12 seconds. Be careful not to reset it with another Remora in the meantime.
The burst damage automatically scales with duration, but we need to ensure the enemy has the Warrant debuff when Remora ends and triggers
Chaos’ passive. Warrant comes from skill and Ultimate casts, and lasts for 15 seconds on 15-second cooldown. So just cast on cooldown against bosses, and don’t cast on dying enemies in AoE waves.
Building Crime Bar for enchanted Charge Attack
The second source of
Chaos’ DPS is the enchanted charge attack at full Crime Bar. The Crime bar has 1000 points, and Chaos fills it through:
- 150 per second for 12 seconds after Ultimate
- 100 on skill cast
- 300 on 5x normal attack combo
So within 15 seconds after casting Ultimate and skill,
Chaos can use the Charged attack with full Crime Bar twice, and build up points close to a third cast. And without Ultimate, he can cast once in these 15 seconds.
If
Chaos can cast Ultimate on a 20-second cooldown, can can use three charged attacks, assuming minimal field time to both
Jiuyuan and
Zero, and no field time for
Hathor.
