Why Reroll in NTE

Unlike most mainstream Gacha games, Neverness to Everness has no 50/50 chance to get the limited characters. So every time you hit an S Rank on Limited banner, player gets the rate-up character.

This result in consistent and easy acquiring of limited characters, but less characters from Standard banner on all accounts.

At first three weeks after launch, there's only a single limited character to get: Nanally. Then there're the small roster of free character.

So the team building options are kind of limited, and S Rank Standard banner characters become more valuable.

Realistic Reroll Goals

  • To get two S Rank characters early instead of one, for broader roster.
  • Acquire your most desired S Rank character in first 20 pulls
  • Or get the most META character, allowing you to select another META character from the Selector to build best team

What you get for guaranteed

Before deciding to reroll, you should learn what you are getting without the extra effort

  • Free A Rank characters: Aurelia, Adler, Haniel, Mint
  • Free S Rank Characters: Zero, Chiz
  • One random S Rank: from 20 pulls in Standard Banner
  • One S rank of your choice: from Selector at 50 pulls in Standard Banner
  • One random S Rank: upon hitting pity in Standard Banner (Soft pity at +75 and hard pity at 90 pulls)
    • Note: the first 50 pulls in Standard banner are discounted (8 Fabricated Dice for 10 pulls. 40 Total for 50 pulls)
  • Enough Pulls (Solid Dice) and wishing currency (Annulith) to guarantee pulling the Limited Character Nanally if you choose (recommended)

This mean you don't need to reroll to get a team that's functional, you will have something that works. But reroll will help you optimize your start, and aim for either what you like or what's best, not just alright.

Fastest Reroll Method

This method favors rapid rerolls, with each run from ten to twenty minutes.

Create Fresh Account

  • Use new e-mail address or login method
  • You may use salted e-mail such as ([email protected])

Fast forward through tutorial

  • Skip all optional cutscenes and dialogue
  • Speed through combat, as early game fights are easy
  • Skip any optional combat

Claim all rewards

  • Claim everything from Mail (20 standard pulls (Fabricated Dice) + enough (Annulith) for 15 pulls
  • Claim all login events rewards, and tutorial rewards
  • Enter any active redeem codes, and claim the reward from Mail, there are the following at launch:
    • NTENOWTOENJOY
    • NTENANALLYGO
    • NTE0429

Pull on both Standard and Limited banner

  • Use all Fabricated Dice to pull on Standard Banner
  • Use all Solid Dice + Annulith to pull on Limited Banner

Examine the Value of what you get

  • You are guaranteed one S Rank from standard by now, check if it's your desired outcome, it would be worth keeping.
  • If you get two S Rank instead of one, it's usually worth keeping
  • If you get Nanally from Limited banner early, it may be worth keeping, considering how you are now guaranteed to get next banner character easily.
  • If you pull only one Standard character that's on the worse side, and no Nanally, it's worth rerolling

Best Characters to Reroll For

Note that these ranking are not the exact ranking in our tier list, but this is basically an evaluation of what's best to start with on day one among these six Standard Banner characters

Tier zero:

The absolute best picks, characters who has immediate high value, and best in slot in top teams.

1. Jiuyuan

  • AOE grouping from range is very useful.
  • Sub dps.
  • Self Healing, especially with one Awakening
  • Best pair with Nanally in Blossom team
  • Drops in value if you don't plan to pull nor play Nanally , but doesn't become useless. She still has Value due to the Hexed reaction alone (Anima + Incantation) which deals damage based on damage already dealt to enemy in past 12 seconds.

2. Daffodill

  • She's best Break DPS in the game, bypassing even limited characters. So her value against endgame boss content is immense
  • Her damage and Break increases with the number of support skills the team cast. Which is very easy to stack.
  • Buffs Discord reaction (Incantation + Chaos + Psyche), which further increase break.
  • On top of breaking, her dps damage is also great.
  • At 1.0 , Daffodill is the only Chaos character in game, so if you don't get her, you are locked out of three full reactions!
  • Use your Selector on Daffodill if you settled on Jiuyuan from rerolling.

If you didn't get neither Daffodill nor Jiuyuan, you can keep rerolling.

Tier One

Very good characters, can hold on their own in most cases, and have decent teams. The only reason they are a tier below is because there are slightly better options that has immense value in previous tier

3. Sakiri

  • She's the best support in game, with high value both short term and long term with her huge ATK buff.
  • At one awakening (One dupe), her buffs gets further increased, making her longevity an absolute sure thing.
  • Her Incantation Element is so valuable, for being part of Hexed reaction to replicate portion of team damage, and being part of Discord reaction to Break bosses.
  • Sakiri will likely take top spot in every tier list, but the reason she isn't absolute number one reroll priority is:
    • Her element has a decent, free alternative in Adler who forms good teams.
    • Haniel can work as an ATK buffer for accounts with no Sakiri
  • If you kept rerolling until you get Sakiri + Tier Zero character, you may consider using the selector to get one dupe for Awakening Sakiri for high value increase.

4. Fadia

  • Best defensive character in game, helps team survive a lot of punishment, and even invulnerable at some point
  • Best character to parry with, and in some cases best to use normal attacks while team skills are on cooldowns
  • Her value is not clear in early games, as content is less challenging. But it grows greatly at the very endgame, when enemies are higher level than max level character and deal a lot of damage.
  • Her Discord team relies on getting Daffodill first, and Adler works as a shielder in absence of Fadia, so accounts an work without her. But Fadia will open up more offensive focused teams by covering the defense side, freeing the other three slots in team.

Tier Two

Not bad characters, they still function and can build a team around. But they are not recommended as target rerolls. They are slightly behind at launch, so imagine what happen after game release a long list of new limited characters

5. Baicang

  • Decent Main DPS, but outclassed by free character Chiz and easy to get limited character Nanally
  • Suspected get power crept by upcoming Lacrimosa in next patch 1.1
  • Absolutely Require Daffodill to reach full potential, and you better reroll for her instead of Baicang anyway.

6. Hathor

  • This one stings, as she used to be better at Beta, but now her high DPS charged attacks gets interrupted
  • Her overall top DPS potential is hard to reach
  • You may use A rank Skia as a cope Lakshana element for accessing Stain, Remora, and Charged reactions. But in general, it's not the top priority element to reroll for
  • There's one useful use for having Hathor on your roster, which is not related to Combat, but rather life skills
    • She unlock one Anomaly Furniture in your house, which can be upgraded to give you equipment of highest rarity daily
    • These equipment are obtained by other means, but this particular method hasten the obtain rate, and help accounts reach full power fast in the long run.
    • Other characters also have other useful life skills, related to City Tycoon, but Hathor's is very prominent that it's worth mentioning.

If you get one of these two, and you don't like the character dearly, you better reroll.

General Reroll Tips

  • Rerolling on PC is slightly faster, due to load times, easier management of accounts, and smother combat
  • Don't hold onto a mid account merely because it got good A Rank roster.
    • Game grants a lot of pulls (almost 500 easy to get pulls by merely playing and completing challenges for a couple weeks),
    • You get at least one A rank per 10 wishes. So you get a lot
  • Don't rush to open your S Rank Selector.
    • You will get at least one more random S rank at pity from Standard banner within 25-30 extra pulls after getting the selector.
    • Some characters dupes worth more than others. So you better wait and see what you get, before selecting
  • Getting Two S Rank characters early is a good point to stop rerolling, if one of them at least one of them is Tier 0 or two are Tier 1. Because you will get one more S Rank at pity + selector. There's a good chance to fill your roster
