HIGH DPS Dragon ENDGAME Sword and Shield Build [PLEASE READ!]

BUILD BREAKDOWN

This build utilises a of the Verdoloto Dragon Artian Sword & Shield. Attack is the preferred roll and handicraft can be nice to have but not mandatory, provided you take into consideration sharpness management.

DECORATIONS (from highest to lowest (right to left) for high DPS)

Note: Push as high as you can but if you want some QoL choices such as more or perhaps more affinity. Crit Boost 3 also works fine!

PRIORITY

• Sword & Shield: Critical Jewel III > Guardian/Dragon Jwl or Guardian/Handicraft Jwl > Expert Jewel III (see below for sharpness considerations which should also be factored into DPS!)

• It is potentially also a good idea to utilise Dragon Attack if you want to forgo even more defences for further a further DPS increase.

ALTERNATIVES:

• Counterstrike is also regarded by some as a better choice than Agitator. I would suggest that this is more of a flavour choice and entirely up to you. Both are viable!

AFFINITY:

This Build will give ~70% affinity based on your artian roll. You will get affinity from Weakness Exploit (30%), Antivirus (10%), Maximum Might (30%), and (15%) with an additional Agitator (10%).

SHARPNESS:

Other options include grabbing a Guardian/Handicraft Jwl if you would like to increase white sharpness. There is also a lot of merit in taking sharpness enhancing decorations if you land an SnS without any on the weapon. Mastery Jewel is a great option and there is also room to consid Sharp Jewel III to protect our white sharpness if you're wanting to draw out a little more prolonged slice 'n' dice. Another choice is alsoRazor Sharp/KO Jwl.

I made this guide with an SnS that landed 2 points of sharpness so overlooked this initially but if you roll a pure attack SnS this will be important!

WHY Hasten Recovery I?

This 2 piece bonus gives us an additional passive life leech which works superbly when combined with the SnS attack rotation. Whilst this seems low on first glance, if we maximise uptime, this can be extremely effective over the course of longer, more challenging fights. This is especially true when you start getting efficient with your blocks!

Verdoloto is savage and makes hunting wyverns weak to Dragon (which is most of the end-game desirable monsters) much more straight forward!
