Build Overview

Thief is the ULTIMATE loot goblin. You want loot, you want to be fast, and you want to take down enemies and get out before they can even think.

Rip n' Dip Thief is all about being fast with a full bag, taking your enemies best loot, and getting out without anyone knowing what hit them.

Fast, aggressive, and of course, loot for days.

Strengths And Weaknesses

  • Fast Paced Movement & Traversal
  • Let's you see the best stuff in containers, allowing for fast looting
  • Strong in close quarters
  • Not stealthy at all, will be easy to notice grapples
  • Long Range fights can be difficult
  • Inventory management will become difficult/time-consuming later in runs

Build Variants

Low Tier Loot: Grey and Green gear.

Weapons/Equipment: WSTR Combat Shotgun is the main piece, as it is incredible up close, which is where you want to be with this build. Utilize the Grapple Device to get up close and personal, while being harder to hit. The other weapon can be up to you, I chose V75 Scar to have a good middle ground between mid-long range fights, plus it has some of the best ammo economy as UESC drop Volt ammo most consistently. For equipment, I recommend a Smoke Grenade to utilize getting out of a fight fast, or to use as cover to get closer when being fired at from long range. Pop the smoke, then use the grapple to maneuver out of harms way.

Cores & Implants: Greed is Good is the main piece of this, increasing sprint and slide based on how full your bag is, which does also require you to have some good knowledge of your inventory and really be picky on what you want to take. The Big Score is an low-tier loot choice, increasing your Loot Speed (how fast items appear in inventories). Augmented Capacitors V2 is used to increase Prime Recovery so you can have faster Pickpocket Drone recovery. Nimble Fingers V2 increases loot speed, so you can find out what gear you want in an inventory and grab it fast. Bionic Leg Upgrades V2 increases Agility so your movement speed is quicker, allowing you to get in and out of places faster.

How It Works

You want as much stuff in your backpack going into a run, as this boosts your runner in multiple ways. With the Low-Tier Build, it provides bonuses through both Greed is Good and The Finer Things, boosting movement/slide speed through Greed, and then also Grapple Device cooldown and Weapon Handling through The Finer Things.

Fast-paced gameplay, using your Grapple to maneuver around the map fast, to loot what you need as quick as possible.

In PvP, utilize Grapple Device and Smoke Grenade's to get up close to an enemy, and then blast them away with the WSTR Combat Shotgun. The V75 Scar is there to provide good ammo economy for dealing with UESC and longer ranged fights if you need to.

Faction Priority

1) Arachne is the biggest focus of unlocks, as it has the WSTR Combat Shotgun and Melee damage stat bonuses in the tree.

2) Sekiguchi gives you the ability to purchase these cores at Rank 3, plus has stat nodes to provide bonuses to Prime and Tactical Recovery.

3) Cyberacme has lots of Heat nodes, Capacity, Recovery Speed, Recovery Rate, Slide Heat Generation. All of these are great bonuses to have as well.
