Hecarim Matchups Overview
Hecarim General information
Hecarim tips and tricks
Do not sit on your Ultimate R for too long. Whenever it’s up, try to gank a lane as it is a great tool that will help you with getting kills and taking over the map.
Hecarim is a strong early game duelist. When playing against weak enemies, invade their jungle and try to fight them early on and force them out of their jungle.
Team fights are going to be difficult for you as you’re prone to poke. Using your Ultimate R, try and flank the enemy from an unwarded bush or from the side so the enemy cannot poke you down and force you to disengage.

The Best Hecarim Builds, Runes and Items for Jungle in Emerald +
Most Popular
If you want to use the most popular Hecarim Jungle build, you should take Ghost and Smite as your Summoner Spells. For runes, you should pick Phase Rush as your keystone, followed by Nimbus Cloak, Celerity and Waterwalking in the primary tree, as well as Legend: Haste and Triumph in the secondary tree. For rune shards, you want Adaptive Force in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Health Scaling in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build Eclipse as your first item, followed by Ionian Boots of Lucidity and Black Cleaver. For your last 3 items, you should build Death's Dance, Sterak's Gage and finish with Spear of Shojin. For the skill order, you want to stick with Q - W - E. Right now, this build has 51.2% winrate over 203 matches played.
Situational Hecarim Runes and Items
Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or take specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state , and your matchup to plan your Hecarim build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
