Build Overview

Aspect of Supay is Hades 2' s auto-fire weapon. The mechanic is unique and very fun to use. Realistically, you can clear a whole run with your Attack and Special unbound and rely solely on Attack, Special, Rush, and Cast damage.

Unfortunately, after receiving some heavy nerfs in EA patches, Rush Boon-centered builds for the Aspect of Supay are inferior to building around the Omega Special. However, Rush builds give you the most unique experience.

Therefore, I'm going to cover two build paths that both overlap and deviate from one another to put more emphasis on either the Rush or Special moves.

The full build below is a variation on the build I used to clear 62 Fear with Supay. Assuming you are not trying to clear ultra high Fear, I'll point out choices that are more specific to high fear, and choices that work better at 32 Fear and below.

Prepare to force feed Chronos heaping mouthfuls of this hot n' spicy Soup-ay!

Poms of Power

Under "High Priority Boons" I've listed the best Boons for Aspect of Supay. Since this is a Jeweled Pom build, you don't have control over the God Pool. Starting with, or grabbing any of these high priority Boons during your run are going to set you up nicely.

Prioritize grabbing a good Special Boon ASAP, as the majority of your damage comes from the fast hitting Omega Specials.

Gigaros Dash is the best boon you can get with Supay, but it's not worth rerolling for. If you are playing at high fear and are using Vow of Wards 2, it's extremely helpful.

Starting Loadout

Arcana

For a discussion on Fates' Whim Arcana, you can refer to this guide I wrote.

After dying to the timer repeatedly, I finally swapped out The Boatman (XVII) and Excellence (XIX), and used the 5 Grasp for The Unseen (IX). Aspect of Supay's starting damage is abysmally low if you don't have Magick for Omega moves.

  • If you're going for a Jeweled Pom start, and using Vow of Forfeit, then I HIGHLY recommend taking The Unseen (IX) so you never have to worry about Gain Boons. In fact, in the run I've based this build off of, I never got a Magick Boon.
    • If you go with a God Keepsake start, have rerolls, or are taking Hecuba, then you won't need The Unseen (IX), and can better spend the 5 Grasp else where.
    • Same if you plan on doing the Rush Boon focus build and don't need as much Magick in general.

Because you will be cycling Omega Attacks and Specials, Night (X) is great for extra damage.

If you want The Wayward Son (II) and The Messenger (VIII), then I'd suggest dropping The Huntress (III) to free up two Grasp.

Animal Familiar

Personally, I go with Toula for her DD, and to help get the damage needed to beat the 5 min Vow of Time timer in Erebus. Funny enough, she even got featured on the damage victory screen at the bottom of this guide!

If you don't need the DD, then I'd suggest Gale as the superior choice. Starting off with extra move speed and dodge chance is great, and Sprinting next to foes will certainly make good use of her Blocks.

Keepsakes

Jeweled Pom is hands down the strongest Keepsake in the game. Even though we have to give up RNG control, Aspect of Supay is quite flexible so you're not going to miss the rerolls too bad.

Anytime you are running Jeweled Pom, 100% I'm gonna recommend taking Time Piece in the 2nd region. Even if you just sacrifice 4 minor rewards, you'll still pocket 800 Gold.

Rush Build Keepsake

However, when trying to build around Supay's Rush mechanics, I would instead recommend starting with Vivid Sea so you can start with Breaker Rush and work towards getting Beach Ball.

General Tips and Tricks

Supay Mechanics

Unlike most Aspects, Aspect of Supay does NOT inflict hit stun.

You're going to need to use movement and Cast placement to minimize damage taken. When using the Omega Special, you can farther away from foes, and therefore in a safer position.

If you run out of Magick, it's best to just wait if there is a large horde of foes rather than charging in to standard Special' tiny range.

The exception is if you are using a Rush focused build, then don't worry about waiting for Magick.

Combat Loop

  1. Drop Cast to keep foes away from you
  2. Channel Special
  3. Dash in to O Special range, and smack up the foes ensared in your Cast.
  4. Maintain medium distance
  5. Immediately Drop Cast when the previous Expires
  6. Repeat.

Cast Usage

I've already written a full detailed guide on Cast mechanics and usage. If you'd like more specific help, please refer to the link.

God Boons

Attack and Special

As aforementioned in the intro, in my personal opinion, building around the Omega Special is the optimal build path for Aspect of Supay.

For Attacks, Heaven Strike is King. However, you can realistically make any Attack Boon work great. When you have a high % damage Boon like Flutter Strike, then make sure you always have Omega Attacks active.

Sworn Flourish and Flame Flourish are equally effective on Aspect of Supay. When playing with Vow of Hordes and Vow of Wards, Sworn Flourish might be slightly better for room clear. but the Omega Specials hit so fast, that Flame Flourish is gonna stack up Scorch super fast!

Rush Boons

If you've already peeked at my Victory Screen below, you'll see some choices I'm not recommending to use in your builds.

For those going for high fear runs and using Vow of Wards, I don't actually recommend Nexus Rush with Aspect of Supay. However, Boons are a rare and valuable resource at ultra high fear, so take the first decent option you are offered.

However, if you're not using Vow of Wards or Vow of Grit, a high level Nexus Rush will blow up annoying low HP enemies like the fish in Oceanus. It's great fun, so don't count Hera's Rush out.

Top choices imo: Thunder Rush, Breaker Rush, and Heat Rush. These will bring the highest and most consistent damage. Thunder Rush is the easiest of these options to use, so go with Zeus when offered.

Duos

Beach Ball is so fun to use with Aspect of Supay. Sadly, it does not benefit from the +30% Rush Boon damage. Only Core Rush Boons are affected.

Nevertheless, because you're going to be sprinting around already, Beach Ball will put in serious work here.

Cast

Solar Ring is also pretty garbage for Supay, but same logic applies. Daze is nice to have, but the damage is so delayed, is quite unreliable against Guardians.

The best Cast choices are Tidal Ring and Smolder Ring. Poseidon's Froth gets triggered frequently from all those Special Orbs orbiting around.

Hestia's Cast is just good for damage and inflicting a curse to help with Origination (XIV). When you manage to get Heaven Strike or Heaven Flourish, then it opens up Thermal Dynamics. Scorch damage goes nuts with these combos.

Secondary Boons

Static Shock is by far the best secondary Boon you can grab on Supay. Aside from this, just grab whatever defensive or offensive boons fit the Core Boons you already have.

Ex: If you have Heaven Strike, look for Double Strike and Arc Flash. If you have Flame Flourish, look for Pyro Technique, etc.

Magick Boon

Because we have The Unseen (IX), literally any Magick Boon will work here (not Tranquil Gain or Ionic Gain because you don't want to stop).

Upgrades and Support

Hammers

Any of the Helix Hammers are preferred when using Aspect of Supay. For my run, I had Melting Helix and Hidden Helix. The #1 choice is in fct, Hidden Helix for the extra Special Orb.

When you have an on hit Special Boon like Wave Flourish OR Flame Flourish, that extra Orb has a HUGE impact.

NPC Boons

From Athena, Divine Dash makes everything Supay safer. Otherwise, I'd recommend Mental Block or Righteous Pike.

Artemis: Look for either Support Fire or Shadow Pounce. But Pressure Points ain't bad either.

Hades: Gigaros Dash is crazy good. If you see this guide before the Patch 1 update, Gigaros Dash hitstuns foes, so it's incredibly OP. Even after the nerf, it's still great, and I feel it make a notable difference in how difficult securing the win was.

62 Fear Victory Screen

Victory Screen

Here, I didn't get Static Shock until the final shop before Chronos. Sad, but I think it made a massive impact in actually securing the win on this run just for the value it brought in the final fight.
