Character Profile

Vodyanitsa is an upcoming 5 star Hydro Support and healer. Vodyanitsa seems to be designed around 2 primary roles in mind: a support for Cryo and Hydro damage focused teams, and a support for Stellar Swirl teams. At a baseline, she will provide Cryo and Hydro RES Shred to the team and provide additional damage to Cryo and Hydro attacks from both on and off-field. She will also heal the active character at a regular interval through her Elemental Skill.

If a Stellar Swirl Reaction is triggered while Vodyanitsa is in the team, she will additionally provide Anemo RES Shred, and the additional damage she provides will instead be for attacks that deal Stellar Swirl damage. This will include Stellar Swirl Reaction damage, not just Direct Stellar Swirl Talent damage, making her a seemingly very effective buffer in those teams.

She will likely be a strong component of Vesna SSW Carry teams, and secondarily good for Yumemizuki Mizuki and Sandrone SSW teams. It is worth noting that Vodyanitsa's Hydro application might interfere negatively with Stellar Swirl, leading to fewer Stellar Swirl Reaction triggers.

With her Cryo and Hydro buffing, she will be a great option for Skirk teams, buffing the entirety of the team's damage and naturally fitting into Skirk's teambuilding restrictions. She should be a strong buff for any other team focused around Escoffier, and a decent option for other teams like Neuvillette. She will likely be a decent option for Sandrone Stellar-Conduct teams with her Cryo RES Shred and access to Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, though not better than Sandrone's best options.

Vodyanitsa looks like a strong and relatively generic Support, but the extent of her strength needs to be evaluated after we have more information released officially on her.

Vodyanitsa's damage increase to Hydro/Cryo or Stellar Swirl attacks will likely scale on her HP%, and she doesn't seem to deal significant off-field damage, making other stats mostly irrelevant. Her Elemental Burst does not seem very strong, so Energy Recharge is also likely unimportant.

She will be an excellent user of Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers. It has an HP% secondary stat and provides the team's on-fielder with 48 ATK% when used. This will be powerful for Vesna, Skirk, Sandrone, and more.

Tenacity of the Millelith is a set that she can make comfortably and easy use of. It provides her with additional HP% through the 2p effect, and a team-wide 20 ATK% to the rest of the team, which most of her likely teammates will make good use of.

Skill Overview

Normal Attack: Vodyanitsa is an off-field Support, and her Normal Attacks do not seem to have any particular use.
Elemental Skill: Most of Vodyanitsa's kit relies around using this. Her RES Shred passives are enabled while her Elemental Skill is active, and the damage increase she provides to attacks does so as well. Whenever her Elemental Skill instances trigger, she will heal the active character.
Elemental Burst: Vodyanitsa's Elemental Burst does not seem to be particularly relevant to her kit, as it does not affect her supportive or healing capabilities.

Best Teams

Stellar Teams

Vodyanitsa will likely be a strong option for Vesna Carry teams, but the extent of her strength depends on her numbers. Other units like Odette and Traveler (Cryo) will likely be just as important.
Yumemizuki Mizuki teams will make less use of Vodyanitsa than other Stellar Swirl carries. Mizuki has fewer Stellar Swirl damage instances, and doesn't make use of ATK%
Sandrone's Stellar Swirl teams are worse than her Stellar-Conduct teams, but Vodyanitsa is likely to be strong for them. Vodyanitsa will be a decent 4th slot in Sandrone Stellar-Conduct teams as well, due to her Cryo RES Shred and ATK% buffing through Tenacity of the Milelith and TTDS.

Skirk and other Escoffier Teams

Skirk teams have a fairly flexible 4th slot that Vodyanitsa is poised to be great for. She will be taking over Citlali / Mona and other such options, making the full team be something like Skirk + Furina + Escoffier + Vodyanitsa.
Other Escoffier teams will make good use of her, but she should be uniquely better for Skirk than for them.

Best Weapons

Vodyanitsa's Signature

We don't know what its effect is, but it will certainly be her best. It also shares a banner with Vesna's Signature Weapon, making it very efficient to go for if pulling Vodyanitsa for Vesna teams.

Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers

Vodyanitsa is made to work with it. An HP% secondary stat to improve her buffing and significant ATK% buffing for her best teams make it a no-brainer to use if you don't have her signature.

Best Artifacts & Stats

Tenacity of the Millelith

Her best teams in Vesna and Skirk will make great use of its effect, and the HP% 2pc is the most useful to her by far. Other options will not compare to this, and if you have other potential users of it, it will likely be better to put them on a different set.
