Character Profile

Sandrone, 7th of the Fatui Harbingers, is back from the dead and bringing with her our first taste of the upcoming Stellar Reactions. She is the first and presently only unit to enable the new Stellar-Conduct reaction, a heavily modified version of Super-Conduct. Sandrone is an already very powerful Cryo carry with unique teams utilizing many of the newly buffed characters, such as Yae Miko and Qiqi. Sandrone deals primarily Stellar-Conduct damage through her talents, similarly to Lunar Talent damage dealt by Lunar units. Stellar-Conduct itself doesn't deal damage; instead, it will trigger a unique field effect that improves Stellar-Conduct, Cryo, and Electro damage. This field effect requires consistent Stellar-Conduct reactions and is empowered the more Cryo and Electro Elemental Application your team can perform.

Snezhnaya is going to further focus on Stellar gameplay, so Sandrone is likely to only get stronger in the future. She is currently quite reliant on the heavily buffed Yae Miko to duke it out with other modern DPS units, but having the ability to do so already is impressive in itself. Besides Yae Miko, she is able to use a fairly varied pool of support units. Sandrone scales both on ATK % through her talents and on Elemental Mastery through Stellar-Conduct, although she is unable to make good use of regular Cryo DMG and other such DMG% buffs due to how little Cryo damage she deals.

Best Teams

Stellar-Conduct

Sandrone - Yae Miko - Cryo flex (example: Qiqi) - Other flex (example: Escoffier)

  • Yae Miko: The difference between Sandrone’s best teams with Yae Miko and her best teams without Yae Miko have a difference of 30-40% DPS, one of the biggest gaps in the game if including Miko’s ‘free’ C1. Beidou is a generic alternative, while Fischl is usable alongside Nicole. Kuki Shinobu holding a set like Instructor is an option.
  • Cryo flex slot: A second Cryo slot will generally always be recommended in order to access Cryo Resonance. Escoffier offers some RES Shred and a bit of personal DMG, while Qiqi and Diona are both capable Super-Conduct buffers. All of them have access to Tenacity of the Milelith, a decent support set.
  • General flex slot: Options include another Cryo unit, Xilonen, Nicole, Sucrose, and Beidou. Generally, Beidou and Diona will be the least good of the bunch. The best options are all roughly about as good as each other. The best option for your account depends on artifact quality, vertical investment, and weapon availability. A C2 Nicole will be stronger than a C0 Escoffier, but a C0 Nicole will not necessarily be better.

Sandrone ER Requirement: 100 - 140%, depending on teammates

With Qiqi and Escoffier, she can go as low as 100%. With a team like Nicole and Escoffier, she will need up to 140%.

Team Notes

Stellar-Conduct and Sandrone’s conditionals mean Sandrone Stellar-Conduct will always require at least 1 Electro unit on her teams. Yae Miko is by far the best one.

Keep in mind that there will almost certainly be future teammates in Snezhnaya that will upgrade this team. The current slots besides Yae Miko aren’t particularly strong. 1 or more of them are likely to be replaced soon, although the exact manner in which is unknown.

Sandrone’s Burst deals very significant damage, and you generally want to always use it. You might need to build Energy Recharge and leverage Favonius weapons to do so something Sandrone's teams generally can afford to do. Qiqi is a particularly good better to bring with Sandrone; she provides Sandrone with up to 6 Cryo Particles and a Favonius Proc.

Example Rotation:

  1. Yae Miko Skill Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura x3
  2. Escoffier Skill Low-Temperature Cooking
  3. Qiqi Skill Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost
  4. Sandrone on-field combo:
[hold Charged Attack + use Elemental Skill] x3 + Elemental Burst
  5. repeat

SandBina Lunar-Charged + Stellar-Conduct:

Sandrone - Columbina - Yae Miko - Ineffa

  • Columbina: Necessary to make the team what it is.
  • Yae Miko: remains by far the strongest 3rd slot for the team.
  • Ineffa: rounds out the team better than other Electro units between her Burst buff, Ascendant Gleam, and Electro application. Beidou is a decent alternative.

Sandrone ER Requirement: 110 - 115%

Team Notes

This team takes advantage of the long turret durations of its members to have Sandrone perform 4 Charged Attacks instead of the usual 3. This extra field time alongside Electro Resonance eases Sandrone's Energy requirements by a lot, letting her Burst every rotation even without a second Cryo unit.

Yae Miko is stronger than Ineffa in this team, so Ineffa should be first to be replaced by a different Electro slot. This team works significantly better with a second Electro slot than any other support. Electro application is required to maintain Lunar-Charged uptime, grants Polestar Field stacks, and gives Sandrone more Energy through Electro Resonance.

This team is a good alternative should you not happen to have any of the supports that result in a good Stellar-Conduct team, the content you want to bring Sandrone against requires Lunar reactions, or you simply want to play it for other reasons. Sandrone applies relatively tame amounts of Cryo, and when she does it will always react with the Electro part of the Lunar-Charged aura first. This allows you to maintain high uptime on Lunar-Charged procs while comfortably maintaining the Polestar Field.

Silken Moon's Serenade is an excellent teamwide buff, as every member scales well with EM. Ineffa can hold it if Columbina is using Tenacity of the Millelith, but without a decent ToM set for her, SMS on one member and Aubade of Morningstar and Moon on another works well too.

Example Rotation:

( Sandrone Skill when opening a fight )

  1. Yae Miko Skill x3
  2. Columbina Skill Eternal Tides
  3. Ineffa Skill Cleaning Mode: Carrier Frequency if you need the Shield it provides + Burst Supreme Instruction: Cyclonic Exterminator
  4. Sandrone on-field combo:
[hold Charged Attack + use Elemental Skill] x4 + Elemental Burst
  5. repeat

Note: Columbina can hold TTDS and pass it to Sandrone every rotation. If so, she will go after Ineffa in the rotation. This is just as good as Columbina on a personal damage focused weapon besides Nocturne's Curtain Call

Best Weapons

BiS Option:A Teaspoon of Transcendence

Sandrone’s Signature is a roughly 27-29% personal damage upgrade over her best 4 star options, representing a team DPS increase of anywhere from 15 to 20%. It is essentially just a very strong stat stick providing Stellar DMG Bonus and ATK % with full uptime. The increase it provides is expected for modern Signature Weapons.

Limited 5 star alternative: A Thousand Blazing Suns

Mavuika’s Signature is the best option for Sandrone besides her own signature, providing her with high uptime buffs she can make proper use of in Crit DMG and ATK %. About an 8-12% team DPS upgrade over her best 4 star options.

Other Crit 5 stars are generally decent and roughly within range of each other. About half as much of an increase as A Thousand Blazing Suns.

Standard 5 star: Wolf's Gravestone

About as good as most Limited 5 star Crit Weapons, at roughly 5% more team DPS over Sandrone's best 4 star options. Refines on this weapon are alright, but not very impactful.

Best 4 star options:

Tidal Shadow: The Fontaine craftable is very decent option as long as it’s being used with a healer like Qiqi. Sandrone’s teams don’t have many ATK% buffs in them, making it quite a valuable stat.

Mailed Flower Acquired through the 3.5 flagship event, it’s a strong free option and almost as good as Tidal Shadow. The buff is unconditional, meaning it can be used outside of teams with healers.

"Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword": Can be a very worthwhile option on teams that require lots of ER on Sandrone. Whether it's better than the above options depends on your access to good Energy Recharge Artifacts. If you have to give up several offensive substats for Energy Recharge, this weapon is likely a good option for you.

Best Artifacts & Stats

BiS Option: Disenchantment in Deep Shadow

By far Sandrone's best option in almost all of her teams. Crit Rate and Stellar DMG Bonus are stats that are harder to come by than most in Sandrone's current teams. This set's 4-piece effect will always be active if an enemy is within a Polestar Field, so essentially always for Sandrone's teams. Always worth farming for, especially so with Yae Miko who also uses this set.

Alternative: 2p2p combos (ATK %, Elemental Mastery )

Both ATK% and EM are strong stats for Sandrone, and even ER can be valuable. Much worse than Disenchantment unless your Disenchantment set is presently very lacking in substats.

Niche Alternative: Night of the Sky's Unveiling

Only usable in Sandbina teams, and in those can generally be roughly equal to Disenchantment in Deep Shadow. With higher Sandrone investment of any kind, Disenchantment will generally pull a bit ahead.

Talent Priority

  1. Normal Attack
  2. Elemental Burst
  3. Elemental Skill

Both Normal Attack and Elemental Burst are very important, while Elemental Skill is impactful but less so.

Constellations

C1Morrow After the Golden Dusk
C2An Heiress Gazed Into the Looking-Glass
C3Refuse the Wake of Dusk, the Moonlit Yoke
C4In Knowledge Lies the World's True Ground
C5Of All Beside, She Takes No Part
C6Narcissus Wakes, Her Eyes Upon the Dawn

Overview

Sandrone’s Constellations are generally very mediocre by modern DPS standards, particularly her C1 and C2. Her R1 will always be the strongest singular vertical upgrade present until the jump from C5 to C6, and it is exceptionally unlikely this changes in the future. Only pull for Constellations after acquiring A Teaspoon of Transcendence if planning to upgrade your Sandrone.

Constellation Details & Approximate DPS Increase

  • C1 Morrow After the Golden Dusk: Modifies her Charged Attack significantly. Each Charged Attack can now last up to nearly twice the duration by accumulating Overheat at half the rate. This means a full duration Charged Attack will now be up to 18 Cryo hits and 6 Stellar-Conduct hits, and a full Sandrone rotation for most teams should only use up to 2 Charged Attacks. It might be optimal to cut one or both short for rotational time reasons. The teamwide Stellar-Conduct DMG% is alright; 30% is not a lot. Because it's only active during her Charged Attack it also doesn't have full uptime. Sandrone will have to use her Burst in-between Charged Attacks to get that 30% buff on her Burst.s Stellar hit. This Constellation is only about an 8-10% upgrade for Sandrone’s team DPS in most situations, either due to the small buff or the rotational extension. It can be a little higher in select scenarios, but 10% is the range to generally expect.
  • C2 An Heiress Gazed Into the Looking-Glass: The Crit DMG buff more or less averages out to roughly 90% Crit DMG for her Charged Attack. Because her Elemental Burst is such a large part of her damage, this Constellation comes out to a roughly 15% personal damage increase, generally 10-12% of team DPS.
  • C3 Refuse the Wake of Dusk, the Moonlit Yoke: Somehow Sandrone’s best early Constellation, coming out to a 16% personal damage upgrade. One of the better C3 upgrades in the game for an on-field DPS.
  • C4 In Knowledge Lies the World's True Ground: Decent by C4 standards, being similarly good to C2 at about of a 10% upgrade for team damage. Sandrone should expect roughly 4 of the extra hits provided by this Constellation per rotation.
  • C5 Of All Beside, She Takes No Part: None of Sandrone’s earlier Constellations buff her Burst, significantly diminishing the value of this Constellation by this point. Only about 2-4% more personal damage.
  • C6 Narcissus Wakes, Her Eyes Upon the Dawn: A generally pretty strong Constellation 6. However, due to the mediocrity of Sandrone's earlier Constellation, Sandrone's C0 to C6 jump ends up being one of the worst in modern Genshin DPS history. It represents an upgrade of about 40% for Sandrone's personal damage, which at this point comes out to approximately 30% team DPS. The elevation is most of this upgrade, but the extra Stellar-Conduct hits getting the C2 buff makes them fairly good too. Expect about 8 hits of this Constellation in total.

How to Play

Overview

Sandrone is an on-field DPS that utilizes her Charged Attack and Elemental Burst to deal Stellar DMG. Using her Charged Attack will generate 'Decoding Power' for Sandrone, an Overheat mechanic. At 100 Decoding Power, Sandrone's Charged Attack will power down. Sandrone can clear this Overheat by using her Elemental Skill, which will deal Stellar DMG in turn. This forms her basic gameplay loop.

Sandrone’s kit is built around the Stellar-Conduct reaction; Sandrone shouldn't be played outside of Stellar teams. Stellar-Conduct is a modified version of the Super-Conduct reaction, which is performed by applying Cryo on an Electro aura or vice-versa. Normally, Superconduct deals a bit of damage scaling on EM and reduces the Physical RES of enemies affected by it. When Sandrone is on the team, this reaction becomes Stellar-Conduct, which deals no damage and instead spawns a ‘Polestar Field’. The mechanics of the Polestar Field form the basis of the Stellar-Conduct archetype.

Stellar-Conduct & Polestar Field Explained

The Polestar Field is a zone that spawns around an enemy when triggering Stellar-Conduct. It has a duration of 6 seconds, and will refresh itself when triggering Stellar-Conduct again within that duration. Enemies within the field will have their Physical RES reduced by 40%, but the Stellar-Conduct team archetype itself is not focused around Physical DMG; it deals Cryo, Electro, and Stellar-Conduct DMG instead.

Stellar-Conduct focused characters like Sandrone or Yae Miko will enter the “Radiance: Stellar-Conduct” state while within a Polestar field, which unlocks the Stellar-Conduct parts of their kits.

While the Polestar field is active, it will ‘record’ all Cryo and Electro Elemental Applications in intervals of 4 seconds. After the recording phase is over, it will immediately begin the next one, and for the next 4 seconds (same as the next recording duration) provide stacking buffs to the team as long as they're inside the field. This buff will scale with the number of Cryo and Electro applications recorded. It is worth noting that Stellar-Conduct DMG does not apply Element and so won’t count for the Polestar Field’s stack recording.

The buffing values are as follows:

  • At 0 stacks: there is no Stellar-Conduct multiplier buff, but the team gains 20 Electro and Cryo DMG%.
  • At 1 stack: All Stellar-Conduct DMG gains a 1.45x multiplier. This multiplier is entirely separate from other multipliers. At 1 stack, you deal 45% more Stellar-Conduct damage. Additionally, all characters within the field gain 29% Cryo and Electro DMG Bonus.
  • For each stack afterwards, these values are incremented; each subsequent stack gives 1% DMG Bonus and adds 0.05x to the multiplier. There is a maximum of 12 Polestar Field stacks, for a total of a 2x multiplier and 40% DMG Bonus. Sandrone’s teams should expect to average roughly 5-8 stacks, depending heavily on teammates. Sandrone and Yae Miko by themselves will generally account for 4-5 stacks.

With these values in mind, each stack will be worth about 1.5 - 3% of team damage in Sandrone’s current teams, giving units with decent Cryo / Electro application an advantage over other units, and lowering the value of supports that cannot apply Cryo or Electro.

Charged Attack & Decoding Power

Sandrone’s Charged Attack is similar to Neuvillette’s: after a short wind-up, Sandrone will begin attacking enemies within her indicator. Like Neuvillette, Sandrone is freely able to move while in this state; unlike Neuvillette, you have to constantlyhold the button down. Sandrone is able to use this Charged Attack at any time as long as she's not Overheated.

This Charged Attack will perform 3 smaller Cryo hits followed up by a larger hit, which is Cryo by default but becomes a Stellar-Conduct Cryo hit while Sandrone is in Radiance: Stellar-Conduct. Sandrone is able to do this up to 3 times within the duration of a Charged Attack for a total of 9 Cryo hits and 3 Stellar-Conduct hits per full cast.

While Sandrone is performing her Charged Attack, she will accumulate 'Decoding Power'. When Sandrone reaches 100 Decoding Power, which she will after a fully cast Charged Attack, she will enter an Overheat state. During this state, she attacks much slower and deals reduced state.

Reducing Overheat & Elemental Skill

Sandrone will reduce her Overheat automatically while not using her Charged Attack. This automatic reduction will be significantly faster while Sandrone is off-field. Sandrone can also reduce her Decoding Power through her Elemental Skill.

Sandrone’s Elemental Skill has her get on her hoverboard and immediately decrease her Overheat. On cast, Sandrone will reduce her Overheat by 70, and for every 0.1s she is on the hoverboard, she will additionally reduce it by 10. This means it will require a quick 0.3s flight to fully reduce Overheat. A Charged Attack + Elemental Skill loop will take approximately 4 seconds and change for Sandrone to perform. This Skill also has a cooldown of 4 seconds, making you able to use Sandrone’s Charged Attack → Elemental Skill sequence indefinitely.

On casting her Skill, Sandrone will deal 2 small hits of Cryo Damage if it doesn't reduce any Overheat. However, through her Ascension 1 Passive, if Sandrone has accumulated over 50 Decoding Power, it will instead perform a small Cryo hit and a decent Stellar DMG hit.

Energy Generation & Elemental Burst

Sandrone will generate 1 Cryo Particle when she hits an enemy with either her Charged Attack or her Skill, on a 2.5s cooldown. You can expect 4-5 Cryo Particles at C0, and 5-6 Cryo Particles at C1.

Sandrone’s Elemental Burst costs 60 Energy on a 15 second cooldown. While not expensive, it does require some Energy Recharge to use on every rotation on most of her teams. Teammates like Escoffier and Qiqi significantly alleviate this, with Qiqi being Sandrone's premier battery teammate.

This Burst deals a smaller chunk of Cryo damage on cast, followed by a much greater chunk of damage after a bit of time post-cast. This second hit will become a Stellar DMG Hit when Sandrone is in Radiance.

Additionally, through her Ascension 1 Passive, whenever Sandrone reduces her Overheat by 10 points, she will gain a ‘Refined Tactics’ stack. These stacks last for 60 seconds, and there is a maximum of 10 Sandrone can hold at a given time. Sandrone will consume all stacks when using her Burst, and each stack consumed will increase this Burst's damage by 10%, for a maximum of 100%. This means Sandrone wants to perform at least 1 full Charged Attack before her Burst Cast. A fully stacked Burst cast will deal damage roughly equivalent to 5 Stellar-Conduct hits from her Charged Attack, making it very powerful.

General Gameplay Loop

Sandrone’s on-field combo will typically look like this:

  1. Charged Attack
  2. Elemental Skill until Decoding Power is 0
  3. Repeat the above steps 3 times in total for most teams; can be less or more depending on the rotation
  4. Use Elemental Burst either in-between Charged Attack uses or right after the final Elemental Skill. Keep in mind that Sandrone is able to act relatively fast after casting her Burst.

This will take roughly 15 seconds of field time when done optimally, and makes the best use of Sandrone’s various mechanics.

Sandrone’s damage is almost exclusively Cryo Stellar-Conduct damage. Stellar-Conduct damage can be either Cryo or Electro, but it does not scale with regular DMG%. Stellar-Conduct DMG scales on Elemental Mastery; EM directly converts to Stellar-Conduct DMG%. Because of how EM scales, it’s very powerful when at low EM values and loses potency the more of it you have. Sandrone gives herself 160 EM through her Ascension 4 Passive, making EM and ATK % fairly close in value. ATK% will typically be a little stronger if a decent amount of EM or Stellar DMG Bonus buffs are present.

Additional Info

Sandrone Charged Attack & Burst notes & Advanced mechanics

Sandrone’s Burst has a deceptively short cast time, particularly if Sandrone switches out after using it. Because of this, it is recommended Sandrone use it at the end of her rotation and immediately switch out if she doesn't lose on any Buffs while doing so. This can shave approxmately half a second off Sandrone’s field-time. Whether using it in-between Charged Attacks or before switching out, it is also recommended Sandrone use it to cancel an Elemental Skill, by using it immediately after casting a Skill. Be careful to not retain too much Overheat if using it in-between Charged Attacks.

Sandrone is able to let go of her Charged Attack before the animation for it finishes and still have the damage go off. This makes each Charged Attack loop takes slightly less time. Sandrone is also able to quickly cancel out of her Elemental Skill animation by using a Normal Attack. After doing this, if the player immediately holds Charged Attack, Sandrone will cancel out of her Normal Attack animation and go into her Charged Attack. Those 2 tricks combined can make Sandrone's loop even shorter than 4 seconds. However, Sandrone's Skill has a 4 second cooldown, making her often cooldown-gated.

Current teammate options and Snezhnaya

Sandrone’s current teammate options are generally quite lacking besides Yae Miko. Yae Miko is an extremely powerful unit, and the gap between Sandrone’s teams with her and Sandrone’s teams without her is one of the largest support gaps in the game.

It is a given that Sandrone will get other powerful teammates in the future, including ones that could slot into the same slot as Yae Miko, but it is likely there will remain a large power gap for a while. Yae Miko is very strong and will benefit significantly by any sort of team-wide buffing.

The current Electro options for teams are quite lacking besides Miko, which is part of the reason she’s so difficult to presently replace. Fischl gains minimal buffing except when used alongside Nicole, and bc she won’t be able to trigger her C6 or her A4, she actually applies less Electro than Yae Miko, which is important for Polestar Field stacks. Beidou is a unit that provides less buffing than Yae Miko while dealing significantly less damage.

Additionally, using 2 Electro teammates makes accessing Cryo Resonance much more difficult. Cryo Resonance requires the enemy to be afflicted with Cryo, which becomes essentially random with 2 Electro units. This incentivizes you to use only 1 Electro slot more than otherwise.

Release Date

Sandrone was officially released as a playable character in Genshin Impact on July 1, 2026, during the Version 6.7 update.
