Character Profile

Navia is a Geo on-field DPS who relies on the Crystallize (or Lunar-Crystallize) reaction to generate a special resource. She is able to consume that resource in order to significantly empower her Elemental Skills, making her a very bursty DPS. Navia wants consistent Elemental Application of both Geo and the Element(s) that Geo can Crystallize with in Pyro, Hydro, Electro or Cryo. She will typically want to use 1 of those Elements for proper consistency, but using 2 is sometimes possible. As an ATK-scaler, Navia has access to many supports she can use, and the teams she will lean to maximize her own damage will typically be 2 Geo + 2 Pyro characters; 2 Geo + 2 PHEC as the generic structure. Navia will always want a Geo teammate alongside her in order to access Geo Resonance and have better Crystallize uptime.

Navia’s damage can oftentimes not be enough to clear the more difficult endgame scenarios without the top tier supports available, like Nicole and Durin. She can slot into Lunar Crystallize teams as an on-fielder, but she will make little organic use of most Lunar Crystallize buffs. Her Signature Weapon and early Constellations are not particularly excellent either, so she will tend to rely on teammate Constellations for vertical investment.

Best Teams

Navia DPS

Navia + Xilonen or Albedo + 2 of:

Durin / Nicole / Mavuika / Mona / Fischl / Furina

Xilonen: The 2nd best Geo unit for Navia in most situations. Strong buffs between her RES Shred and Scroll of the Cinder City and just enough extra Crystallize for Navia to not struggle. You will usually want to switch back into Xilonen a second time for her Crystallizing, unlike most Xilonen teams.
Albedo: If you don't have Xilonen or she's otherwise occupied, or lacking Durin or Nicole, Albedo is a great Hexerei partner for the other. Good personal damage that gets significant buffs and some Geo application make him a pretty attractive Geo teammate.
Durin: Probably Navia’s most valuable teammate. He provides enough Pyro aura to consistently generate more than enough Crystal Shrapnel for Navia, give good Sub-DPS damage of his own, as well as full uptime RES Shred. He’s also an excellent holder of Celestial Gift if being used with a Hexerei unit that isn’t Nicole, although he pairs best with Nicole.
Nicole: An excellent partner alongside Durin. Her ATK buff is something Navia loves, and Celestial Gift is a fantastic set. She is also able to use her Burst to fill out downtime in this team.
Mavuika: Not necessarily better than Durin even without focusing on Hexerei, but she’s still a strong option. Without doing some extra Buffer cancels through her CAs she will generally fall behind Durin.
Mona: Another Hexerei option, Mona doesn’t interfere with Crystallize as much as most while providing strong, high-uptime buffing to both Navia and Durin. Good bit worse than Nicole.
Fischl: Fischl can have quite a bit of Elemental Application, which can either significantly interfere with Crystallize generation. Oz needs to be re-cast to maintain Electro application uptime, which requires certain rotation adjustments. Decent with Nicole, but not fantastic.
Furina: Previously Navia’s best option, now quite a bit behind most Hexerei options. Can still work with some Constellations.

Navia Lunar Crystallize

Navia - Columbina - Linnea - Flex

Columbina and Linnea are unquestionable slot-ins for this team. Team damage gets more or less nuked without either of them, but especially Columbina.

The flex slot will typically be either Illuga or a second Hydro unit such as Furina. Illuga’s buffs are applicable to all Geo DMG to an extent, so he can buff Navia a little. Furina will focus much more on non-Lunar damage, and Columbina with Furina both make for great Energy generations. Linnea will have to use Burst every rotation with Furina.

Best Weapons

BiS Option: Verdict

Navia’s Signature Weapon is not a particularly impressive one. The statline is uniquely used by Navia, but the actual stats it provides are not enough to pull ahead of the competition. 20 ATK% and 36 Skill DMG% is not enough, especially when a decent amount of Navia’s damage isn’t Skill DMG. Overall one of the least strong signatures in the game, and easily replaceable.

Limited 5 star alternative: A Thousand Blazing Suns

Mavuika’s Signature Weapon is oftentimes better than Verdict, even though Navia can’t unlock the full passive. The statline is arguably even better than Verdict’s, and 28 ATK% + 20 Crit DMG is arguably outright better for Navia than 20 ATK% + 36 Skill DMG%. While not necessarily worth pulling for just for Navia, it is better than Verdict in most situations.

Besides ATBS, any weapon with a passive that Navia can make at least partial use of will be fairly good and not too far behind her best options. Notably, Gest of the Mighty Wolf can be comparable to Verdict and A Thousand Blazing Suns, particularly if Navia utilizes her Charged Attack. It only reaches that status if Hexerei: Secret Rite is active (which it should be).

Best 4 star: Serpent Spine

Excellent and comparable to her best 5* options at R5. Much easier to upkeep the passive with Nicole, but the frequent Crystallize Shields Navia gets should help out as well.

Standard 5 star option: Wolf's Gravestone

The Standard Banner 5* is a strong option for her, although not quite as good as the above options. Particularly nice without Nicole in the team.

Best free option: Earth Shaker

The Natlan craftable is Navia’s best free option. It requires Pyro Crystallize to be triggered, but Navia does generally want to do that already.

Best Artifacts & Stats

Generally BiS option: Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods

Navia’s Signature artifact set. Essentially provides a full uptime 50% Geo DMG Bonus, which is quite nice. Navia does get significant DMG Bonus in most of her teams, making this relatively diluted. Still pulls decently ahead of most other options. This set is in the same domain as Song of Days Past, a largely useless artifact set. Much more efficient to strongbox it.

Great alternative: Golden Troupe

Particularly good with Xilonen, as Navia can swap out and re-gain the effect. If Navia is able to get all of her Skills buffed, this can be competitive with Nighttime Whispers. If not, it's better than most other options, but not that good.

2p2p combinations: Fairly decent. Geo DMG% and ATK% are the main things to chase after, but ideally you should try to strongbox a Nighttime Whispers set.

Niche alternatives:

Night of the Sky's Unveiling is pretty strong in a Lunar Crystallize team, and will often be better than Nighttime Whispers for team DPS.

Marechaussee Hunter: A good set if being used with Furina, albeit Navia will generally not want to team with Furina very much outside of Lunar Crystallize teams. In that case, Night of the Sky’s Unveiling will typically be better.

C1: The Cooldown reduction isn’t particularly useful, but the extra Energy can be nice for certain teams. Navia will generally not have to build a lot of Energy Recharge, particularly with Xilonen, but it can be nice to not have to build any.

C2: A fairly annoying Constellation to use. The Crit Rate it provides is very high, but it is only for her Elemental Skill; Navia’s damage is majority Skill, but not exclusively. This means you have to build less Crit Rate on her, which will lose out some damage on Navia’s Normal Attacks (and Burst). Still an okay Constellation when building for it, but not even that good. Typically up to 10% team DPS.

C3: An increase almost as much as C2, being about 12-14% personal DPS. Decent C3, but not exceptional.

C4: Navia’s teams already have very significant RES Shred, and most of the time without needing to specifically go out of your way for it. This Constellation isn’t very good for her teams, although not that much worse than Navia’s other Constellations. 5-8% team DPS increase, depending on the team.

C5: Negligible.

C6: 135% Crit DMG to her Elemental Skill casts. Pretty strong, but nowhere near modern Constellation 6 effects.
