Character Profile

Ineffa is an Electro 5 star Sub-DPS made for the Lunar-Charged Reaction, the Lunar version of Electro-Charged. The first Moonsign character, she deals significant personal damage in Lunar-Charged teams while providing the team with some buffs and a decent Electro shield. Most notable for her role as a Flins partner, she’s also able to team up with other Moonsign characters as an effective sustain option. When used alongside Columbina, she can take the role of a main damage dealer even in teams that aren’t full Moonsign thanks to the flexibility of Lunar-Charged. Ineffa deals primarily Lunar-Charged damage through her Talents and the Lunar-Charged Reaction, and deals little Electro damage. This makes Elemental Mastery quite valuable on her, as it directly increases Lunar damage.

Ineffa does not significantly buff the team’s DMG in the vein of other Moonsign supports, and most of her value is in her own personal damage. Some of her Constellations and her Signature Weapon do provide some team-buffing, but generally in a limited manner. This means other sources of team damage increases can outscale her own contributions if they’re significant enough, although this isn’t the case very often.

Energy Recharge Requirements: 100 - 140%

It's typically not worth going out of your way to build enough Energy Recharge to use Burst every rotation. There are a few exceptions, but Ineffa's personal damage contribution will make offensive substats typically outweigh this. However, if you come by some Energy Recharge substats, make sure to keep them around.

Elemental Mastery mainstats are typically fairly close in value to ATK % mainstats. Although not necessarily better, they can be worth using if they have better substat rolls. Elemental Mastery substats are similarly about as good as ATK% substats, although Ineffa receives far more Elemental Mastery and Lunar DMG% buffs than ATK% buffs in most of her teams.

Best Teams

Flins Lunar-Charged

Flins - Ineffa - Columbina - Sucrose

  • Columbina can be replaced by other Hydro slots such as Aino or Xingqiu, but they will be a massive downgrade compared to her. She upgrades the team by 25-30% team DPS compared to the best alternatives.
  • Other RES Shredders like Xilonen or Durin can take Sucrose's place, but will typically not be quite as good. Xilonen with her C2 can be a little better, but even then not too significantly.

Ineffa’s premium team. Without Constellations or Signature Weapons on either of them, Ineffa’s contributing almost as much damage as Flins is for the team. Use Ineffa’s and Columbina’s Bursts whenever they’re up instead of aiming to use them every rotation.

Example Rotation:

  1. Ineffa Skill (+ Burst)
  2. Columbina Skill Eternal Tides (+ Burst Moonlit Melancholy)
  3. Sucrose Skill Astable Anemohypostasis Creation - 6308 or Attack + Burst Forbidden Creation - Isomer 75 / Type II
  4. Flins on-field combo
  5. Sucrose Skill or Attack + Burst

Lunar-Charged without Flins

Ineffa - Columbina - Sucrose - Xilonen

  • Both Sucrose and Xilonen can be replaced by other competent supports, although Xilonen would be the one to go first. Options include any other RES Shredder like Durin or a unit like Aino for Hydro Particles and her Elemental Mastery and Lunar DMG% buffs.

This team lacks a dedicated on-field unit on purpose, aiming instead to maximize the damage Ineffa and Columbina deal. This works surprisingly well in much endgame content, and using a dedicated on-fielder might not necessarily be better than doing this if said on-fielder isn't Flins.

Rotation:

Such a team lacks a clear-cut rotation. Aim to keep both Ineffa's and Columbina's turrets at full uptime, use their Bursts whenever available, and maintain the team's buffs at full uptime.

Lunar teams that aren't dedicated to Lunar-Charged

Columbina - Lauma - Ineffa - Aino or Nahida

Columbina on-field carry. Ineffa can trigger Hyperblooms and buff Columbina’s EM while dealing some Lunar-Charged damage here, and also provide Columbina with a shield to counteract her low IR.

Zibai - Columbina - Ineffa - Linnea or Xilonen

A hybrid of Lunar Crystallize and Lunar-Charged. Ineffa does not significantly interfere with Lunar Crystallize generation, making this a viable team. Not better than Zibai's usual teams though.

Nefer - Columbina - Lauma - Ineffa

Ineffa is a solid sustain option for Nefer teams. She does not deal notable personal damage here, only provides a decent Shield and an Elemental Mastery buff. She can hold Deepwood Memories or Silken Moon's Serenade, or even Instructor.

Non-Lunar teams that aren't dedicated to Lunar-Charged:

Sandrone - Columbina - Ineffa - Yae Miko

A strong option for Sandrone. Ineffa and Yae Miko apply enough Electro between for Sandrone + Columbina to share, enabling both very high Lunar-Charged uptime and Stellar-Conduct uptime.

Neuvillette - Columbina - Ineffa - Xilonen

Technically Neuvillette's strongest team where he acts as a carry. The combo of Columbina + Ineffa can deal more damage than Neuvillette here, but he synergizes with the core well enough.

Arlecchino or Mavuika - Columbina - Ineffa - Xilonen

A decent Vaporize team for the Pyro carries. Columbina applies just enough Hydro to let them Vaporize most - all of their damage, and the added Electro Aura means it is difficult for Pyro to overtake. Xilonen is the strongest 4th slot in this team, but Nicole or Bennett can be alright as well.

Electro carry - Columbina - Ineffa - Flex

Bineffa remains a strong option for a lot of non-Lunar on-fielders. This might not the best option for either the carry or Bineffa all the time, but it is good into content mandating Electro or multiple damaging elements.

Hyperbloom: Ineffa - Lauma - Yelan - Xingqiu

Ineffa is a decent Hyperbloom trigger thanks to her natural EM scaling. Her Lunar-Charged damage remains significant, so Crit is still preferred, but EM becomes about as good as it. Columbina is better than either of the Hydro slots, but the team becomes a Hyperbloom team no longer.

Shielder without Lunar-Charged:

Ineffa can be a Shielder option for Chevreuse Overload teams, but she does will do very little damage and provide little besides the Shield and Electro application.

Best Weapons

BiS Option: Fractured Halo

Ineffa’s Signature Weapon. A significant stat-stick for her personal damage that also provides strong team-wide buffing. It is about as strong as Flins's Bloodsoaked Ruins on Flins in terms of team DPS, at about 10-12%. Typically less strong in other teams.

Limited 5 star alternative: Staff of the Scarlet Sands

Cyno's Signature Weapon. The high Crit Rate can be difficult to build around alongside Ineffa’s Crit Rate Ascension stat, but the passive is excellent for her personal damage. She is able to get multiple stacks on it, and even fully stack it on rotations where she uses her Elemental Burst.

Strongest Weapon Banner 4 star: Sacrificer's Staff

A very poweful stat stick, but very difficult to acquire. The high Base ATK is amazing and the low CR makes it easy to build with, and the stats it provides are all very useful for Ineffa. Not as good as a high refinement Deathmatch.

Best 4 star: Deathmatch

Very strong, but like SoSS, can be difficult to build around the high Crit Rate. An excellent option if you are able to do that, particularly at high refinements. Ballad of the Fjords can be equally good in some teams, but Deathmatch tends to be the safer bet.

Standard 5 star option: Primordial Jade Winged-Spear

A very attractive statline, but Ineffa can’t make great use of the passive. Can be decent if lacking any of the above options.

Best free option: Prospector's Shovel

The Nod-Krai craftable option will be surprisingly strong in lieu of any of the above. Can even be stronger than Deathmatch and many other options in several teams. Very worth crafting if you don't have Ineffa's other strong options.

Best Artifacts & Stats

BiS Option 1: Aubade of Morningstar and Moon

The best set for Ineffa's personal damage. Most of her value is in her damage, so unless there is no other holder of Silken Moon's Serenade, this will be her best option comfortably.

BiS Option 2: Silken Moon's Serenade

It is still quite possible to use this set on Ineffa and Aubade on Columbina, even in Flins teams. In teams like Sandbina, it's very worth to put this set on Ineffa.

Niche option: Tenacity of the Millelith

Rarely worth using this set on Ineffa instead of another unit like Columbina, but it can be option under certain circumstances.

2p2p combinations ( ATK %, Elemental Mastery )

Will be decent as an option for Ineffa's personal damage. 4pc Gilded Dreams can also perform similarly. Aubade is a strong set and will generally be a decent bit ahead of these, but not that significantly so.

Talent Priority

  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  3. Normal Attack

Most of Ineffa's damage is found in her Passive talents. Very little of it is contained in any of her Talents. Her Shield is found in her Elemental Skill talent, making that more worth leveling than the rest. Her Elemental Burst's Electro hit deals an alright chunk, but ultimately not a whole lot. Her Normal Attack talent is entirely useless.

Constellations

C1Rectifying Processor
C2Support Cleaning Module
C3Enhanced Emotion Emulator
C4The Edictless Path
C5Mirror's Dream Transcension
C6A Dawning Morn for You

Overview

Ineffa's Constellations can be about as strong as Flins and Columbina Constellations in a Flins Lunar-Charged team. However, they are generally not particularly impressive Support Constellations. Her C1 only increases Lunar-Charged damage, which is strong but not incredible; her C2 gives her a massive nuke on her Elemental Burst, but doesn't affect the rest of her team.

Constellation Details & Approximate Damage Increase

C1: Excellent for Lunar-Charged teams, being a 10-15% increase to team DPS in those. This is one of Ineffa's few team buffing Constellations, and the effect is trivial to max out.

C2: Gives her a significant chunk of personal DMG but doesn’t buff the team at all. Can be up to a 10% team damage increase, but it shifts the team’s damage more to her. Not particularly good for Flins teams and most Ineffa teams in general.

C3: Negligible. Her damage isn’t in her talent levels.

C4: Can help with making using Burst easier without needing to build ER for her C2.

C5: Negligible.

C6: Ineffa’s C6 is the only Moonsign 5 star C6 to not include Elevation for Lunar Reactions. It gives her a lot of extra personal damage, roughly 50-60%, but it doesn’t buff the team at all. An overall middling C6 by Lunar character standards.

How to Play

Overview & Lunar-Charged

Ineffa is primarily a Sub-DPS that deals Lunar-Charged damage. She has a decently strong Shield in her Elemental Skill and can buff the Elemental Mastery of the active character through her Elemental Burst. Like all Moonsign 5-stars, Ineffa increases the Base DMG of the Lunar Reaction her kit is made around based on her scaling stat, up to a 14% buff at 2000 ATK. This passive is generally more significant for Flins teams than her EM buff is.

Lunar-Charged is the Lunar Reaction that modifies Electro-Charged. It spawns rainclouds over opponents that deal strong damage every 2 seconds, and periodically refresh with seamless uptime as long as the opponent has both Hydro and Electro on them at sufficient intervals. The damage of the rainclouds scales with the EM and Crit of the characters that participated in the Reaction, with priority given to the ones with the highest EM + Crit scaling.

Elemental Skill & Birgitta

Ineffa’s Elemental Skill deals a small instance of Electro DMG around her on cast and provides an Electro shield that scales on her ATK. Her turret, Birgitta, will deal a small instance of Electro DMG to nearby enemies every 2 seconds. If the attacked enemy is currently affected by Lunar-Charged, Birgitta will additionally inflict a much stronger instance of Lunar-Charged damage. This is Ineffa’s main source of personal damage.

Ineffa’s Elemental Skill has a 16s cooldown and Birgitta has a duration of 20 seconds. When Birgitta hits an enemy, it has a ⅔ chance to generate an Electro particle. Birgitta can additionally be summoned through Ineffa’s Elemental Burst and will function the exact same as through her Skill.

Elemental Burst

Ineffa’s Elemental Burst has a 15 second cooldown and a 60 Energy cost. It will deal a modest instance of Electro (not Lunar-Charged) damage and will buff both Ineffa and the active character’s EM based on Ineffa’s ATK for Birgitta’s Duration. If her Constellation 2 is activated, it will additionally deal a massive instance of Lunar-Charged damage.

Additional Info

Constellation 2 & Energy Recharge

Ineffa before C2 does not need to build Energy Recharge, as her Burst deals relatively little damage and the EM buff it gives to the active character and Ineffa isn’t that impactful for most teams. After C2, it can be worth building ER for it, as the additional Lunar-Charged damage is very significant. It’s roughly equivalent to 4.5 of Birgitta’s Lunar-Charged hits, so up to a 40% personal damage increase

Release Date

Ineffa was officially released as a playable 5-star Electro Polearm character in Genshin Impact on July 30, 2025, during the Version 5.8 update.
