Escoffier Build Guide

Character Profile

Escoffier is one of the premier Cryo and Hydro DMG supports in the game, geared primarily around the Freeze archetype. Freeze without Escoffier is significantly weaker compared to with her, having one of the biggest Support gaps in the game. Between her monstrous RES Shred, decent personal damage and access to very good healing that lets her form an excellent pair with Furina, she is exceptionally difficult to replace for those teams. She is also able to perform as a Cryo support in other archetypes like Melt or Stellar-Conduct, though she offers less to those.

Despite her Strength, Escoffier does not offer particularly unique buffs. It can be difficult to replace her efficiently, but Constellations or Signature Weapons can match what she provides, especially outside of Freeze.

Energy Recharge Requirements: N/A - 220%

Escoffier wants to skip using her Burst if the healing isn't necessary and she's not using Symphonist of Scents. If she is, Energy Recharge Sands is more than usable. Symphonist will make Escoffier's Burst almost always DPS neutral at worst, as the buff it provides is quite strong.

Escoffier will want to always use her Burst in teams with Furina. In those teams, building enough ER will be her biggest priority.

Best Teams

Freeze

Freeze teams with Escoffier will follow a set structure.

  • Escoffier
  • Furina, who is exceptionally difficult to replace in these teams. She forms a fantastic pair with Escoffier, providing decent and high up-time Sub-DPS and naturally complementing each other. Furina's Burst requires strong healing, and Escoffier's Burst provides it.
  • Cryo on-fielder: Skirk is the strongest by far. Lohen is decent, and Kamisato Ayaka is mostly alright.
  • Flex slot: typically one out of Mona, Citlali, Shenhe, or Charlotte. Other fourth slots can be viable, but these will be the best; particularly Mona and Citlali.

Example Rotation

  1. Furina Skill Salon Solitaire + Burst Let the People Rejoice
    →
  2. Escoffier Skill + Burst
    →
  3. Mona Skill Mirror Reflection of Doom + Burst Stellaris Phantasm
    →
  4. Skirk on-field combo

Stellar-Conduct

Sandrone - Yae Miko - Escoffier - Qiqi

Escoffier is currently one of Sandrone's best support slots. She provides RES Shred, which comes in high demand and little supply, alongside some alright personal damage, extra Cryo particles, and decent Cryo application for Polestar Field stacks. Escoffier can also be decent for Wriothesley Stellar-Conduct, but he has a much harder time fitting her into the team currently.

Example Rotation

  1. Yae Miko Skill Yakan Evocation: Sesshou Sakura x3
    →
  2. Escoffier Skill
    →
  3. Qiqi Skill Adeptus Art: Herald of Frost
    →
  4. Sandrone on-field combo

Melt:

Escoffier can be a Cryo applicator for Melt carries like Mavuika and Arlecchino. She is typically not worth using as the solo Cryo slot, but she can form a decent double Cryo core alongside Citlali.

Example Team: Mavuika - Citlali - Escoffier - Bennett

Escoffier will not always offer more Melts, especially if you don’t adjust your gameplay, but she might make certain things more consistent. Cryo Resonance can be a nice boon but will not have particularly high uptime.

Example Rotation:

  1. Mavuika Skill
    →
  2. Escoffier Skill
    →
  3. Bennett Skill + Burst
    →
  4. Citlali Skill + Burst
    →
  5. Mavuika Burst + on-field combo

Best Weapons

BiS Option: Symphonist of Scents

Escoffier’s signature gives her a significant personal damage boost compared to even other 5* Polearms, while also giving a very substantial 32 ATK% to the characters the wearer heals. Escoffier will provide this 32 ATK% to her entire teamwide for a few seconds, and to the on-fielder for most of their on-field time. One of the best support signatures in the game, the best support Polearm in the game thanks to having many other strong users outside Escoffier, such as Chevreuse and Iansan.

Other 5* Polearms: They’re fine, but they’re not nearly as good. Escoffier’s personal damage tends to not be that notable, and her 4 star options are strong.

Best 4 star damage option: Deathmatch

Very strong, being about as good as 5* Crit Polearms when at a high refinement. High Crit Rate can sometimes be annoying to build around, but it shouldn't be that difficult to do so.

Best Energy option: Favonius Lance

An excellent weapon to help the team’s ER needs, and will often be better than damaging Polearms that aren’t Symphonist of Scents. Especially good in Stygian Onslaught and in general in Energy hungry teams such as Sandrone teams.

Best Artifacts & Stats

Best damage option: Golden Troupe

The strongest set for Escoffier’s personal damage. While her Burst deals an okay amount of damage, you should not aim to use it purely for that. Escoffier’s damage mainly comes from her Skill.

Best supportive option: Tenacity of the Millelith

If someone else isn’t using this in her teams, typically she should. It is better to put Furina on this and Escoffier on Golden Troupe in Skirk teams usually, but the other way around is also fine. Similarly, Qiqi will typically hold this set in Sandrone teams.

Support alternative: Noblesse Oblige

Uptime on this tends to not be great, but it can be worth it in Skirk teams with high investment, or in other teams if Escoffier is using her Burst because of Symphonist of Scents.

Support alternative: Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City

Escoffier tends to be going right after Furina in the rotation, thus generally having an easy time triggering a Reaction. Solid as a support set, even though Escoffier does not have access to Nightsoul.

Talent Priority

  1. Elemental Skill
  2. Elemental Burst

Her Skill talent is where the vast majority of her damage is contained in, and it is generally worth leveling to at least some extent. Her Elemental Burst Talent levels will provide her with a little bit of extra damage and much more juiced healing. Her Normal Attack Talent is worthless.

Constellations

C1Pre-Dinner Dance for Your Taste Buds
C2Fresh, Fragrant Stew Is an Art
C3The Bakery Magic of Caramel Browning
C4Secret Rosemary Recipe
C5Symphony of a Thousand Sauces
C6Tea Parties Bursting With Color

Overview

Escoffier has a great C1 and 5 other mediocre Constellations. None of them after C1 are particuarly much of anything,

Constellation Details

C1: A pretty substantial team DPS increase of 15% in 4 H/C teams. The conditional makes this very much not versatile, but it’s typically excellent in a lot of Freeze teams. This is the best C1 in a Skirk team, but is likely a little worse than Azurelight.

C2: Not a great C2. Difficult to quantify value, but it’s not very high. It is far more unlocked than her C1, though.

C3: Not very good.

C4: It’s fine.

C5: Not very good.

C6: This is just alright. Gives Escoffier a more personal damage, but support C6s usually want to be supportive in nature. 3000% MV for Escoffier ends up not being much better for the team’s DPS than Skirk’s C1, for example.

How to Play

Overview

Escoffier is a Cryo Sub-DPS through her Elemental Skill, a healer through her Elemental Burst, as well as a source of Cryo and Hydro RES Shred through her Ascension 4 passive, which makes her a very capable support.

Elemental Skill & Ascension 4 Passive

Escoffier’s Skill has two modes, accessed through Tap or Hold. The Hold version of her skill is exploration novelty, and will generally not be used in combat besides exceptionally niche, irrelevant scenarios.

On Tap, her Skill will deal a little bit of Cryo DMG around Escoffier and spawn Cooking Mek: Cold Storage mode. This is a turret that will follow the active character and deal Cryo DMG to nearby enemies at 1 second intervals. Every other of these hits will apply Cryo, so Escoffier will apply Cryo to the enemy at roughly 2 second intervals. Each of these can proc an additional Ousia-aligned hit on a 10 second cooldown, though this does not do a lot of damage. The turret hits are single-target, although they have a small AoE.

If Escoffier hits an opponent with her Skill cast, she will generate 4 Cryo Particles. The Cooking Mek has a 20 second duration and Tap Skill has a 15 second cooldown, making it generally have full uptime.

Escoffier’s Ascension 4 passive will decrease Cryo and Hydro RES Shred of opponents hit by her Skill or Burst for an amount stacking with the number of Cryo and Hydro teammates in the current party. At 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 Cryo + Hydro units, the RES Shred becomes 5% / 10% / 15% / 55%. Because of the massive jump from 3 to 4 such units, Escoffier is best used in dedicated Freeze teams.

Elemental Burst

Escoffier’s Elemental Burst will deal a larger chunk of AoE Cryo DMG around her and instantly heal all party members for a fairly high amount. Through her Ascension 1 passive, Escoffier will also perform 9 intervals of healing at 1 second apart for a smaller amount, but only for the active character.

Scoring Cuts has a cooldown of 15 seconds and an Energy cost of 60, making it relatively easy to get enough ER for it on most of Escoffier’s teams.

Additional Info

Escoffier does not have to use her Burst if the team doesn’t demand healing, whether because of Furina or survivability. It is recommended to skip using it entirely in teams like Sandrone Stellar-Conduct.

Escoffier’s Burst will apply 2 Units of Cryo, making it easier to maintain Cryo Resonance on teams that already use it, such as Skirk teams. It can also make overtaking a Pyro aura easier on a Melt team, though as you’ll already want to use Citlali, this does not matter as much.

Release Date

Escoffier was officially released as a playable 5-star Cryo character in Genshin Impact on May 7, 2025, during the Version 5.6 update.
