Character Profile

Albedo is an off-field Geo Sub-DPS and Hexerei Support. Widely considered one of the worst units in the game for a very long time, his Hexerei buffs have breathed considerable new life into him. With more than double his previous damage in his Elemental Skill turret, access to a new strong support Artifact Set in Celestial Gift and the synergy with other Hexerei units, Albedo is now a viable option in a fair few teams. Albedo will also buff Hexerei on-fielders through his new Hexerei Passive, and any on-fielder to a much lesser degree.

Although many of his problems have been fixed, including several practical and quality of life issues, Albedo remains a very rarely Best in Slot option. His free C1 through the 'Temper Thyself and Journey Far' event helps him by giving him a bit of extra damage, and his new Constellations are generally much stronger than before.

He does still lack a solid signature weapon if you weren't able to get Cinnabar Spindle, and can have a little bit of negative synergy with a few teams, such as certain Vaporize teams. He is significantly stronger than before nonetheless, even if not perfect.

Albedo's Burst can be worth using in a Mualani team, although rarely worth too much Energy Recharge. Both Celestial Gift and C1 can help quite a bit with Energy requirements though, and they tend to not be too strict.

Navia Hexerei

Navia - Albedo - Durin - Nicole

One of the best 2nd Geo slots for Navia. Although Albedo does not want to use Celestial Gift in this team, his extra Geo application can be quite useful for Navia, and his damage is increased through the various team buffs present. Overall quite solid, even if not outright the best.

Mualani

Mualani - Albedo - Mona or Sucrose or Xilonen- Durin or Mavuika

Albedo does not interfere with Mualani's Vaporizes. His Turret hits will not be enough to overtake the Pyro Aura. Celestial Gift is as great as usual, and Albedo's EM buff through his Burst is not useless, for once.

Other Teams

Albedo can be a decent 4th slot option in a few teams. This is generally applicable when he can enable Hexerei buffs for a different strong Hexerei teammate, or with a few Hexerei on-fielders due to his buffing them. Examples include:

Arlecchino Vaporize: Arlecchino - Mona - Albedo - Flex slot
Klee Carry: Klee - Albedo - Durin - Flex slot
Other Hexerei carries like Venti or Razor

C1: Albedo's C1 is entirely free through the 'Temper Thyself and Journey Far' event, and the extra 50% DEF it provides him with is quite strong for his personal damage. The Energy can be nice in rare cases, although generally irrelevant.

C2: This Constellation basically entirely removes the need for Albedo to use his Elemental Burst, which is good to save on rotation time. It lets him do quite a bit more damage and will keep up his Elemental Mastery buff at full uptime. An overall decent C2, can be up to 10-15% team DPS.

C3: Decent for his personal damage, but rarely a game changer.

C4: Still generally irrelevant, although now is more of an occasionally useful and amusing effect rather than a useless and amusing effect.

C5: More or less useless.

C6: It's alright. Makes his Burst usable again and increases his personal damage by a good bit. Nothing to write home about.
