All Mistfall Hunter Classes Explained

There are currently six playable classes in Mistfall Hunter, each offering distinct playstyles and unique skill expression.

As a dark fantasy, you'll be able to find your usual tropes ranging from warriors to wizards, but there are some surprises you might not expect from their abilities.

In this guide we'll cover their main playstyles, weapons, and more to help you choose your starting class.

How to Change Classes in Mistfall Hunter

If you end up wanting to try a new class after the tutorial, you'll need to wait until you do the next quest after the tutorial. Upon finishing it, you'll get the option to change classes from Dew.

While you can freely switch between classes, there are a few things to keep in mind:

• You'll need to leave valuable items in your storage
• There is a Gyldenblod fee you must pay (cost increases as you level up)
• There is a cooldown before you can switch again (shorter cooldown at lower levels)
• For a short time, there is a Reversion period to switch back for free

In the big scheme of things, you do have the freedom to swap classes but there are more barriers in comparison to a game like Elden Ring Nightreign.

If you're an enjoyer of the scouting and sniping archetype, look no further than the Blackarrow.

As the wielder of the Bow (and eventually the Javelin), Blackarrow can begin a fight from far away, often on high ground.

Equipped with an arsenal of situational arrows and abilities like Shadow Step, it's a great choice for players that want to outsmart and outposition their enemies.

The Mercenary is the versatile melee fighter of Mistfall Hunter, wielding the Hammer or Sword and Shield.

By using the Hammer, the Mercenary excels in forward movement with strong engage potential from abilities like Hammer Dash. Once in the thick of combat, the Hammer provides AoE damage with the likes of Earthshaker.

When wielding the Sword and Shield, the Mercenary has a more balanced approach, with gradual stacks building up for payoff with Stacked Slash on offense or timely parries with Perfect Block for parries.

Whether you want to be cautious and tactical or go all-out with massive bonks, you can't go wrong with Mercenary as an all-around choice.

At first glance, the Seer seems like the clear choice for the cleric playstyle. With healing along with holy abiliites like Punishment Rune and Binding Rune, it certainly fulfills that niche.

However, if you prefer the mace over the catalyst, you can embrace the "Blasphemer" archetype that favors surprisingly aggression.

You'll have to make that choice of which side to lean toward, you unfortunately cannot access both at once.

Fans of the rogue playstyle will find their home in Shadowstrix, the class with stealth and assassination as its focal point.

Equipped with daggers, dual blades, poison, and even crows from abilities like Crow Storm and Poison Crow Mark, they're the best choice for making quick work of an unsuspecting foe.

Naturally they make for potent flankers and duelists, but will need some tricks up their sleeve if they are caught in a drawn out teamfight.

Looking for magic wielder and don't want to bother with healing? Sorcerer provides a wide range of explosive firepower with the likes of Fire Bolt and Thunder Pierce but also has some defensive options like Forbidden Gate and Mistwalk. It's one of the most complex classes but one of the most rewarding.

Similar to the Mercenary, the Withered Knight is another melee class who can choose between going offensive with Greatsword or more defensive with Polearm and Shield.

If you want to play as a tank that can protect allies, the Withered Knight is the closest thing to it with abiliites like Intervene and Sacred Bulwark.
