Spirhalite Shards are an essential part of crafting gear and upgrading your base. They are needed for pretty much everything, so it's important to make sure you have an ample supply.
While you'll acquire a good amount just by playing through the story, they'll quickly disappear once you start exploring the game's many crafting systems. This quick guide will provide some easy methods to help you farm Shards more efficiently.

The best way to farm Spirhalite Shards is to explore the huge crystal mining stages. These maps are filled with regular-sized crystals, and offer a massive reward at the end.
Your goal is to fill up the meter by defeating Salmonids and collecting Power Eggs. Unlike some of the other challenges, there is no time limit here, so you can keep at it as long as you don't run out of lives.
Occasionally, you will run into an Anomaly wave, which adds a unique spin to the enemies you encounter within the area. It's also possible to experience more than one throughout your excursion.
If you happen to find Goldie, get ready to lock-in and deal the best DPS you can. Goldie will run away from you, but if you can kill them in time, you'll receive a ton of Shards! Each hit drops Shards too.
Once you've reached the halfway point, you are free to mine the crystal and end the raid if you like. However, we recommend staying until you fill up all the way.
The more Power Eggs you farm, the higher your Yield multiplier, and filling up to 100% will guarantee the maximum 2x value. While it can take a bit of time, the end reward is well worth it!

In Splatoon Raiders, it's super easy to jump from one raid into the next and stay so busy that you never check in with Big Man—but you won't want to neglect him!
Discovering Briny Scrolls and other collectibles grants you a pretty sizeable amount of Spirhalite Shards, with increased volumes at higher intervals.
While it is a finite supply, these lump sums really help out, especially during the earlier parts of the game. So be sure to stop by for a visit when you can!
