Overview

Palworld 1.0 gives you plenty of freedom when building a base workforce. Work Suitability Handbooks can eventually improve almost any Pal, but certain Pals remain especially valuable because their Partner Skills support the entire base or create powerful worker combinations.

Rather than covering the best individual Pal for every Work Suitability, this guide focuses on seven Pals that provide benefits such as slower SAN loss, faster crop production and major boosts to Handiwork, Mining and Watering.

These Pals can form the core of almost any productive base, with the remaining spaces filled by whichever specialist workers you currently need.

Special thanks to Augiesaint for sharing these Pal recommendations and explaining what makes them so effective. Make sure you check out his channel for more Palworld content!

The Essential Base Support Trio

Shroomer Noct, Lullu and Prunelia provide benefits that affect the wider base rather than only improving their own work. Their Partner Skills also stack with one another because each Pal provides a different effect.

Shroomer Noct

While assigned to a base, Shroomer Noct slows the rate at which other workers lose SAN. This helps Pals remain productive for longer and reduces the amount of time they spend resting or recovering.

The effect becomes stronger through Condensing, but even an uncondensed Shroomer Noct can improve the stability of a busy base.

It is also a versatile worker with access to Planting, Gathering, Handiwork and Lumbering. This allows it to continue contributing whenever its SAN support is not the only reason you need it.

Lullu

Lullu increases the growth speed of crops produced at the base. When fully Condensed, this becomes a huge improvement to how quickly your plantations complete each growing cycle.

It covers many of the same farming tasks as Shroomer Noct, including Planting, Gathering and Handiwork. Lullu can also help with Medicine Production, making it a useful general worker between crop cycles.

Faster growth becomes increasingly valuable when your base needs a steady supply of ingredients for food, medicine and breeding cakes.

Prunelia

While Lullu makes crops grow faster, Prunelia increases the amount collected when those crops are harvested. Using them together improves both the speed and total output of your plantations.

Prunelia can perform Handiwork, Planting, Gathering, Medicine Production and Transporting. This gives it several ways to contribute without wandering away from the farming area for unrelated jobs.

Combining Prunelia with Lullu creates the foundation of a highly productive farming base, while Shroomer Noct helps the workers maintain their SAN.

Anubis and Sekhmet

Anubis and Sekhmet form one of the strongest production combinations available in Palworld 1.0.

Anubis is an excellent Handiwork and Mining Pal, allowing it to cover crafting stations and resource production. Sekhmet provides powerful Handiwork of its own while also improving every Anubisassigned to the same base.

Sekhmet's Partner Skill increases Anubis's Work Speed while they are deployed together. This effect does not stack, so one properly upgraded Sekhmet is enough to support multiple Anubis workers at the same base.

Sekhmet also receives a separate efficiency boost while working at a Workbench, Workshop or other related facility. A fully Condensed Alpha Sekhmet receives an exceptionally large version of this bonus, making the Alpha variant the preferred choice for an optimized crafting base.

A regular Sekhmet is still useful, but the difference between the normal and Alpha versions is significant. If you are investing resources into Condensing one, make sure it is an Alpha.

Use the Monitoring Stand to control their assignments. Keeping Anubis focused on Handiwork or Mining prevents it from abandoning an important production queue for a lower priority task.

Jelliette and Jellroy

Jelliette and Jellroy are a dedicated Watering combination that can be obtained relatively early through fishing.

Their natural Watering level may appear underwhelming, but their Partner Skills become active when both Pals are assigned to the same base. This greatly increases their Watering speed and allows the pair to perform far beyond what their normal Work Suitability suggests.

They are particularly useful in farming bases where Watering can become the bottleneck between planting and harvesting. Keeping both together allows plantations to move through their production cycles much more consistently.

This pairing is also accessible much earlier than many of Palworld’s endgame Watering specialists, giving it plenty of value throughout your progression.

Building Your Core Base Team

A strong general purpose base can be built around these seven Pals:

  • Shroomer Noct supports the base by slowing SAN loss.
  • Lullu makes crops grow faster.
  • Prunelia increases the amount harvested.
  • Anubis and Sekhmet handle Handiwork and Mining.
  • Jelliette and Jellroy provide fast Watering when assigned together.

Condensing these Pals improves their Partner Skills, but you do not need to max every one immediately. Begin with uncondensed versions and upgrade the Pals whose effects matter most for your current base.

The farming trio provides the broadest benefit, while the two pairings are best used in bases dedicated to production or agriculture. Together, they create a reliable core that can be supported by whichever Kindling, Electricity, Cooling and Transporting Pals you currently have available.
