Palworld 1.0: Best Endgame Combat Party Team Comps

Overview

Building a strong party in Palworld can be difficult when there are so many Pals, elements and Partner Skills to consider. Instead of simply filling your team with five individually powerful Pals, the best parties combine effects that strengthen each other.

This guide covers seven endgame party compositions, including general purpose, Fire, Ice, Electric, Dark and Ground teams. Many of these parties include late game or World Tree Pals, so there may be some minor Pal spoilers ahead.

Accessories and Pal Bounty Tokens

Before building any of these parties, check which accessories you have available. Support Whistles provide an accessible elemental damage increase, while stronger Batons, Rings and Talismans can improve the active Pal’s Attack, elemental damage or defenses.

Match your accessories to the main element of your party. For example, a Fire focused accessory fits the Burn party, while an Electric Baton or Talisman will provide more value to the Soak/Electric team.

The Growth Acceleration Bell is also helpful when levelling newly acquired Pals. Remember to craft the relevant saddle for any Pal you intend to ride, as mounted Partner Skills will not be available without it.

Pal Bounty Tokens provide another permanent source of power. Defeating an Alpha boss for the first time awards its corresponding token, which is stored under Key Items. These tokens permanently increase a particular elemental damage type for Pals in your active party.

The strength of a token is displayed as Small, Medium or Large. Do not assume a Legendary boss will always provide the largest bonus, so defeating every Alpha boss is worthwhile when min-maxing an endgame party.

Best Pals for Any Party

Several Pals can improve almost any composition without needing to match its main element.

  • Solenne: Increases the player’s Attack when every Pal in the party is a different species.
  • Orserk: Hitting an enemy with bullets temporarily increases the Attack and Defense of the Pal fighting beside you. Repeated hits allow this effect to stack.
  • Celesdir Noct: Greatly increases the Attack of the Pal fighting beside you, but that Pal gradually loses Health while receiving the bonus.
  • Lapure: Reduces the Partner Skill cooldowns of your other party Pals.

Solenne is ideal for player-focused setups, while Orserk and Celesdir Noct strengthen whichever Pal is currently fighting. Lapure is particularly effective when the party revolves around a powerful activated Partner Skill.

Fire and Burn Party

Party: Renjishi, Majex, Jormuntide Ignis, Flaracle and Needoll Noct.

This party combines Burn and Ivy-Covered to create a large amount of Fire and area damage. It is excellent for clearing groups of enemies, farming densely populated areas and fighting Ice enemies.

Renjishi allows the player’s attacks to build Burn, meaning you do not have to wait for one of your Pals to apply it.

Once an enemy is burning:

  • Majex surrounds it with damaging flames that hurt other enemies that come into contact with them.
  • Jormuntide Ignis Ignis increases the player and party’s damage against burning enemies. It also protects the player from lava damage.
  • Flaracle causes burning enemies to explode when attacked, damaging nearby targets.
  • Needoll Noct allows player attacks to build Ivy-Covered. Enemies affected by Ivy-Covered take increased Fire damage.

Use a weapon that can repeatedly tag enemies to establish Burn and Ivy-Covered. Majex and Flaracle can then create a chain of area damage that quickly clears the surrounding group.

The same combination also performs well against bosses once both status effects have been applied.

Ice and Soak Party

Party: Elgrove Cryst, Ophydia, Frostallion, Icelyn and Solenne.

This composition focuses on controlling enemies through Soak and Freeze. It is particularly useful against aggressive bosses that are difficult to keep at a safe distance.

Ophydia allows the player’s attacks to build Soak. Once the enemy is Soaked, Elgrove Cryst gives the player the ability to Freeze it in a single strike, creating a safe window to deal damage.

Icelyn can temporarily convert the player’s attacks to Ice while increasing their Attack. Frostallion provides a flying mount and also converts player attacks to Ice while mounted. Its Partner Skill increases the player’s Attack and helps build Freeze.

Solenne completes the party by providing another large player Attack increase.

Build Soak with your weapon, trigger the guaranteed Freeze through Elgrove Cryst and then use the lockdown to unleash your strongest attacks. Freeze does not work against Ice or Fire Pals, so use another composition against those targets.

Soak and Electric Party

Party: Jormuntide, Ophydia, Orserk, Prixter Lux and Helzephyr Lux.

This boss focused party uses Soak to amplify Electric damage while also strengthening the player and the Pal currently fighting.

Ophydia allows the player to apply Soak through normal attacks. Soaked targets take increased Electric damage, while Jormuntide further increases the player and party’s damage against affected enemies.

Prixter Lux can convert the player’s attacks to Electric while increasing their Attack. Helzephyr Lux provides the party’s flying mount and also converts player attacks to Electric while mounted.

Orserk rounds out the team by increasing the Attack and Defense of the active Pal as you repeatedly hit the enemy with bullets.

Apply Soak first, activate Prixter Lux or mount Helzephyr Lux and then begin dealing Electric damage. The amount of focused single target amplification makes this one of the strongest parties for suitable bosses.

Dark, Poison and Blind Party

Party: Frostallion Noct, Bakemi, Venusa, Prixter and Roujay.

This Dark composition combines Poison and Blind rather than relying entirely on raw elemental damage.

While mounted, Frostallion Noct changes the player’s attacks to Dark, increases their Attack and helps build Blind.

The remaining Pals strengthen both status effects:

  • Venusa: Allows player attacks to build Blind, while Poison Scatter and Poison Fog provide ways to inflict Poison.
  • Prixter: Increases player and Pal damage against poisoned enemies.
  • Roujay: Increases player and Pal damage against Blinded enemies.
  • Bakemi: Attacking a poisoned enemy greatly reduces that enemy’s Attack.

Bakemi is a defensive part of the composition rather than another damage amplifier. Once Poison has been applied, Prixter increases your damage while Bakemi reduces the threat posed by the enemy.

For more reliable Poison application, you can replace Venusa with Dandilord. Dandilord allows player attacks to build Poison when activated and also grants the player and party immunity to Poison.

Necro Paladin Party

Party: Necromus, Paladius, Selyne, Solenne and Celesdir Noct.

The Necro Paladin party is more thematic than completely optimized, but it creates a fun playstyle built around Necromus and Paladius fighting together.

Equip Spear Thrust on Paladius. Activating it allows Necromus to appear and attack alongside Paladius. Likewise, equipping and activating Twin Spears on Necromus calls Paladius into the fight.

Make sure you have their required saddles and these specific Active Skills equipped, or the tandem attacks will not work.

The remaining party members amplify the Dark and Neutral damage:

  • Selyne strengthens Neutral and Dark attacks while mounted.
  • Solenne increases the player’s Attack.
  • Celesdir Noct greatly increases the active Pal’s Attack in exchange for gradually draining its Health.

Watch the active Pal’s Health while using Celesdir Noct and recall it before the drain becomes dangerous. This party may not match the specialized damage of the status compositions, but its mounted combat and tandem attacks make it one of the most entertaining options.

Muddy and Ground Party

Party: Knocklem, Moldron, Bulldosu, Surfent Terra and Pierdon.

This Ground focused party is designed to counter Electric enemies by combining the Muddy status with strong defensive effects and powerful area damage.

Surfent Terra allows the player’s attacks to build Muddy. This reduces the target’s Electric damage and activates Pierdon Partner Skill, which increases the damage dealt by the player and their Pals against Muddy enemies.

Bulldosu provides additional protection by reducing the Electric damage taken by the entire party and granting immunity to Electrify. This makes the composition particularly effective against dangerous Electric bosses.

Moldron gains additional Attack for every other Fire or Ground Pal in the party. Since every member of this composition has the Ground element, Moldron receives plenty of value from its Partner Skill.

Knocklem acts as the party’s main damage dealer. Activating Steel Guardian Mode massively increases its Attack and Defense for a limited time, allowing it to absorb pressure while dealing heavy Ground damage.

Ground skills such as Sand Twister, Ground Cutter and Rocky Impact also give the party plenty of area damage for clearing groups of enemies.
