Overview

Accessories are one of the most overlooked ways to improve your character in Palworld. While weapons and Pals usually take priority, equipping the right accessories can significantly boost your survivability, increase your damage, improve exploration, and even make resource farming much easier.

The best part is that many of the strongest accessories aren't locked behind the endgame. As soon as you unlock a flying mount, you can begin collecting powerful schematics from Hacking Towers across the map, giving you access to gear that will remain useful for the rest of your playthrough.

In this guide, we'll cover:

  • The best accessories to unlock first
  • Where to find them and when you can craft them
  • The best combat accessories
  • The best utility accessories
  • How to unlock two additional accessory slots

This guide was made with the help of Augiesaint. Check their channel out for more Palworld content.

Best Early Accessories

Several of Palworld's strongest accessories can be obtained much earlier than most players realise. While you'll still need Polymer to craft many of them, collecting the schematics early means you'll be ready to craft them as soon as you hit the required level.

Location maps used in this guide are sourced from PalDB

XP Charm

Effect

  • EXP +50%

Minimum Level

10

The XP Charm is one of the first accessories you should unlock, especially if you're still progressing through the early game. While it doesn't increase your combat power, the additional experience helps you level both your character and your Pals much faster, making it ideal while exploring new regions or building multiple Pal teams.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-25, -93).

Vanguard Charm

Effect

  • Heat Resistance +3
  • Cold Resistance +3
  • HP Up IV

Minimum Level

33

The Vanguard Charm is one of the best all-round accessories in Palworld. It provides protection against both extreme climates while also increasing your maximum HP, making exploration and boss fights much safer. Since it remains useful throughout the entire game, it's one of the first schematics you should collect once you unlock a flying mount.

Although you'll need Polymer to craft it, it's well worth unlocking early so it's ready when you reach level 33.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-816, -847).

Merchant Charm

Effect

  • Heat Resistance +3
  • Cold Resistance +3
  • Max Carry Weight IV

Minimum Level

33

If you're constantly filling your inventory while mining or gathering resources, the Merchant Charm is an excellent choice. The large Carry Weight increase lets you stay out farming for much longer, while the Heat and Cold Resistance bonuses mean you can comfortably explore every biome without constantly changing equipment.

Like the Vanguard Charm, it requires Polymer before it can be crafted.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-784, -1221).

Multiclimate Undershirt

Effect

  • Heat Resistance +3
  • Cold Resistance +3

Minimum Level

33

At first glance, the Multiclimate Undershirt looks like a great pickup thanks to its dual climate resistance. However, it still requires Polymer to craft, meaning it becomes available at the same point as both the Vanguard Charm and Merchant Charm.

Since those accessories provide the same climate protection plus additional bonuses, they're usually the better investment.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (602, 308).

Best Combat Accessories

Once you've unlocked the core utility accessories, it's time to start focusing on increasing your damage. Several accessories provide direct boosts to your character or Pals, while others increase elemental damage, making them ideal for Tower Bosses, Raid Bosses, and Alpha Pal fights.

Dogen Emblem

Effect

  • Attack Up IV
  • Pal Attack Up IV

Minimum Level

34

If your goal is dealing as much damage as possible, the Dogen Emblem is one of the strongest accessories you can equip. It boosts both your own Attack and your Pal's Attack, making it a fantastic choice for Tower Bosses, Raid Bosses, and general combat.

Because both you and your Pal benefit from the bonuses, this accessory remains one of the strongest offensive options throughout the endgame.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-300, -1505).

Best Utility Accessories

Not every accessory is designed to increase your damage. Some of the most valuable accessories in Palworld focus on improving your survivability, mobility, and overall quality of life. Whether you're exploring the map, gathering resources, building your base, or capturing rare Pals, these utility accessories can make day-to-day gameplay much smoother. While they might not provide the biggest damage boosts, they're well worth keeping in your inventory and swapping in whenever the situation calls for it.

Warsect Terra Belt

Effect

  • Defense Up IV
  • HP Up IV

Minimum Level

34

The Warsect Terra Belt is built for survivability. Increasing both your Defense and maximum HP makes it an excellent choice for difficult encounters where staying alive is more important than squeezing out extra damage.

If you're struggling with tougher bosses or higher-level content, this is one of the best defensive accessories available.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-666, 29).

Islander Work Belt

Effect

  • Work Speed Up IV
  • Carry Weight IV

Minimum Level

34

Players who spend a lot of time building bases or crafting resources should consider unlocking the Islander Work Belt. The increase to Work Speed helps speed up manual crafting, while the Carry Weight bonus lets you transport larger quantities of materials before becoming over-encumbered.

Although it's not designed for combat, it's a fantastic quality-of-life accessory for base building and resource gathering.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-146, 323).

Pal Tamer Glasses

Effect

  • Mercy Ring
  • IV Glasses

Minimum Level

34

The Pal Tamer Glasses combine two incredibly useful accessories into one. They let you inspect a Pal's IVs while also preventing you from accidentally knocking it out, making them perfect for players focused on breeding or capturing rare Pals.

If you're searching for perfect passives or high-IV Pals, these are well worth unlocking.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (7, 123).

Air Walker MK3

Effect

  • Double Jump
  • Air Dash

Minimum Level

62

The Air Walker MK3 is one of the most enjoyable movement accessories in the game. Double Jump and Air Dash make exploration much smoother while also helping you dodge attacks during difficult boss fights.

Although it's unlocked much later than the other accessories in this guide, it's well worth picking up if you want maximum mobility.

Location: Ancient Ruin Hacking Tower at (-1201, -1524).

Pal Talismans

Effect

  • Pal Defense Up IV
  • Increases damage dealt by a specific Pal element

Minimum Level

34

Rather than providing a general damage boost, Pal Talismans are designed around elemental teams. Each Talisman increases your Pal's Defense while also boosting the damage of a specific element, making them a great choice if your team revolves around a single type.

For example, if you're using a Fire-focused team, equipping a Fire Talisman will increase your Fire damage while also giving your Pals extra survivability. There are Talismans available for every element, so you'll want to craft the ones that best match your team.

Location: Craftable after obtaining the schematic. Ancient Civilization Parts can be obtained by defeating Alpha Pal Bosses.

Pal Batons

Pal Batons are another excellent offensive accessory.

Each Baton provides:

  • Pal Attack Up IV
  • Increased damage for a specific element

Because they directly increase your Pal's Attack, they're generally one of the strongest damage accessories for offensive builds.

Crafting Materials: Ancient Civilization Cores, obtained from Expeditions, Oil Rigs, and the World Tree.

Pal Rings

Pal Rings are designed around elemental combat.

Each Ring provides:

  • Elemental Damage Up IV
  • Reduced damage taken from that same element

This makes them particularly valuable when fighting bosses that use a single elemental type, allowing you to both increase your damage and reduce incoming attacks.

Crafting Materials: Ancient Civilization Parts, obtained from Alpha Pal Bosses.

Unlock Two Extra Accessory Slots

One of the biggest upgrades you can make is unlocking two additional accessory slots.

To do this, visit the merchant at Sea Breeze Church.

Location: (-62, -535)

You'll need a total of 350 Dog Coins to unlock both additional slots.

These upgrades are permanent and dramatically increase the number of accessories you can equip at once, making them one of the best long-term investments in Palworld.
