In-game Description

A clear sign of the Nightlord's presence, in the form of a terribly tattered rag. Burned and worn down over a span of time untold, the hint of an impression once made by the engraving of an old sealing stone can be seen, but it is no longer legible. The menial asked about an engraving. But how did he know there was one, before setting eyes upon it?

How to Unlock Witch's Brooch (Guardian Remembrance Quest)

The alternate versions of the Witch’s Brooch are unlocked in the final chapter of the Guardian’s Journal—the ninth entry. Players will need to enter the Realm of Remembrance, interact with a piece of paper and a bookshelf, both marked on the map of the Roundtable Hold with the usual yellow quest marker, and then go ask the Recluse “Are you the maker of the curse?” Afterwards, players have a choice to forgive or punish her for her misdeed, resulting in the Witch’s Brooch and Broken Witch’s Brooch respectively. Both items function the same, they simply differ cosmetically, and players can swap between the two at the Collector’s Signboard for three tokens.
