Due to the RNG of each Nightreign run, you may not always be able to get this, but here's what you can look for.
Passive perks can be attached to any weapon and still apply to your character if it isn't equipped.

Game Plan and Pathing
Day 1
On Day 1, you should immediately kill small enemies around where you spawn to reach at least level 3.
After that, head to the closest of these settlements: Fire, Holy, or Lightning, and pick up anything you can find of the items listed above in the weapon slots, since these damage types are gonna be the damage types you’re lacking when starting the run.
A good rule of thumb is to plan your route around churches since it’s the only source of healing upgrades.
Day 2
On Day 2, make sure you have all elements. If you’re missing one, you should track it down, and on day 2, it’s important to start looking for World Bosses such as Carian Knights and Dragons, such as Flying Dragon of the Hill.
These will have a high chance of dropping powerful character passives. Then, continue routing around churches like Day 1
Day 3
Day 3, immediately check the merchant’s inventory, see if he has anything worth buying over leveling up, such as weapon upgrades (Smithing Stones).
If you have enough runes to level up after that, sit at the grace and get those last levels in, since you’re about to fight the final boss and should now have all the elements to be able to use any desired Magic Cocktail combination.
Additional Tips
- Magic Sorceries are typically going to be your best source of damage unless you’re fighting something resistant to magic or something particularly weak to another element. Therefore, we should mostly be using our precious FP (mana) on our big Magic Sorceries and maintain our FP with the use of our passive Elemental Resistance.
Starlight Shards are useful for any character but its particularly useful for Recluse.
