The entire goal of the build is to be able to spam
Bone Spirit inside the enemies hitbox to fully abuse the
Shattered Spirit's Aspect aspect. Below are the steps needed to do that.
- The first goal is getting your
Bone Spirit cooldown lower than 7 seconds so you can machine gun cast it through the use of the
Enhanced Bone Spirit upgrade passive in the skill tree. This requires having high amounts of Cooldown reduction as well as 100% critical strike chance. - The second goal is to get yourself inside the enemies hitbox. We use the Unhindered effect from
Aspect of Distilled Anima to do this. - After that, Spam
Shattered Spirit's Aspect using
Bone Spirit. If done correctly all 18
Bone Splinters from the
Shattered Spirit's Aspect will hit the enemy, doing incredible amounts of damage. This step is called Shotgunning.
So to recap, these are the key things you need to have:
- Bone Spirit under 7 second cooldown.
- 100% Critical Strike Chance.
- An unhindered ability such as Aspect of Distilled Anima.
Uniques:
Shard of Verathiel: This unique is the core of any basic attack build, and this one is no exception thanks to all the
Bone Splinters fired from
Shattered Spirit's Aspect counting as basic attacks. A good Shard of Verathiel is vital to the builds success.
Gospel of the Devotee: This overlooked unique is the other core unique to the build, allowing our
Bone Splinters from
Shattered Spirit's Aspect to pierce through enemies for more AOE clear.
Crown of Lucion: This unique gives the build an incredible amount of damage and cooldown reduction, without any of the downsides of the increased essence cost. This unique is a must have.
Shroud of False Death: +1 to all passives as well as a high HP and all stat roll makes this item give way too much tankiness and damage to pass up. Its by far the best Mythic unique for the Necromancer class
Blood Moon Breeches: A 50% damage multiplier in the pants slot makes these a must have despite the other stats it gives not being very desirable.
Penitent Greaves: A higher damage alternative to
Aspect of Distilled Anima, offering a free [x]25% multiplier to the enemy you're Shotgunning. It comes at the cost of less consistent Unhindered access, making it a higher risk higher reward option.
Elixirs and Incenses
With the abundance of herbs now in the game it is now very easy to grab some consumables to either shore up big weakness with your character or to massively increase your strengths. I highly recommend you regularly keep Elixirs and Incenses running. Below I laid out the best consumables to use for every situation.
Elixirs
If you need more of any specific resistance or armor, use those elixirs first. Once your armor capped and resistance capped, look to use the Elixir of Precision for the extra crit chance, and if you're already crit capped look to instead use Elixir of Advantage for the extra attack speed. If you're having trouble staying alive and your armor capped and resistance capped, you can use the Elixir of Fortitude to gain a 20% hp multiplier.
Core Stat
- Sage's Whisper: Generally the best option as it gives the most amount of damage.
- Spiral Morning: Not a bad alternative, as the all stat gives some armor and also helps hit breakpoints in paragon tree. Only use if there's specific paragon nodes you're trying to reach.
Resistance
- Soothing Spices: Best all around option as it gives +10% all resistances and +2% max resistance to everything. Only use another option if needed to hit resistance caps.
Defensive
- Song of the Mountain: Great early game option for the +300 Armor
- Reddamine Buzz: Gives +750hp, best option if you are already armor capped.
