Bone Splinters is not only one of the best builds of the season thanks to the new unique focus Gospel of the Devotee, but it also offers a unique playstyle found nowhere else in the game with incredible damage by abusing hidden mechanics that are specific to Bone Splinter builds. If you're looking for something new to play that's unlike anything else this game has to offer and want to watch even the tankiest enemies melt right in front of you then Bone Splinters is the build for you.

Aspect & Uniques

It's important to get a good Shard of Verathiel and a well rolled Shattered Spirit for maximum damage. The goal should be to get 100% critical strike chance to reset Bone Spirits cooldown as well as making sure your Bone Spirit has under 7 second cooldown to reset it with Advanced Bone Spirit in the skill tree. Make Sure Armour and Resistances are capped for your torment tier.

How it Plays
- Always keep up Soul Rift to maintain Unhindered
- Walk inside the enemies hitbox using Aspect of Distilled Anima
- Cast Bone Spirit until a corpse forms from Hued Flesh
- Cast Corpse Tendrils
- Cast Bone Prison
- Spam Bone Spirit for the Bone Shards
How it Works
The entire goal of the build is to be able to spam Bone Spirits inside the enemies hitbox to fully abuse the Shattered Spirit aspect. Below are the steps needed to do that.
- The first goal is getting your Bone Spirit cooldown lower than 7 seconds so you can machine gun cast it through the use of the Enhanced Bone Spirit passive in the skill tree with 100% critical strike chance.
- The second goal is to get yourself inside the enemies hitbox. We use the Unhindered effect from Aspect of Distilled Anima to do this.
- After that, Spam Bone Spirit. If done correctly all 18 Bone Shards from the Shattered Spirit aspect will hit the enemy, doing incredible amounts of damage and instantly refilling your essence to continue casting Bone Spirit.
So to recap, these are the key things you need to have:
- Bone Spirit under 7 second cooldown.
- 100% Critical Strike Chance.
- An unhindered ability such as Aspect of Distilled Anima.
For the End Game Destruction and Chaos Pit Pushing variations , Max Cooldown Reduction is needed to reduce Bone Spirits cooldown to zero along side Rapid Ossification
Shotgun
By utilizing the Idol of Below we can stand inside of bosses and shotgun our Shattered Spirit Aspect so all 18 Bone Splinters can hit the boss. Its very important to pay attention to your positioning, and make sure you are shot gunning enemies as much as possible.
Uniques
Heir of Perdition: This Mythic Unique gives a 60% damage multiplier as well as some good stats in the form of Crit Chance, Movement Speed, and Lucky Hit Chance.
Shroud of False Death: +1 to all passives as well as a high HP and all stat roll makes this item give way too much tankiness and damage to pass up.
Gospel of the Devotee: A new unique added to season 10 that allows all of our Bone Splinters to pierce enemies.
Blood Moon Breaches: A 50% damage multiplier in the pants slot makes these a must have.
Path of Trag'oul: These boots gives us a few ranks of Bone Splinter while giving us some nice maximum essence.
Shard of Verathiel: A 150% damage multiplier in a one-handed weapon is great, and it also gives ranks to basic skills and a couple of other good rolls.

Elixirs and Incenses
With the abundance of herbs now in the game it is now very easy to grab some consumables to either shore up big weakness with your character or to massively increase your strengths. I highly recommend you regularly keep Elixirs and Incenses running. Below I laid out the best consumables to use for every situation.
Elixirs
If you need more of any specific resistance or armor, use those elixirs first. Once your armor capped and resistance capped, look to use the Elixir of Precision for the extra crit chance, and if you're already crit capped look to instead use Elixir of Advantage for the extra attack speed. If you're having trouble staying alive and your armor capped and resistance capped, you can use the Elixir of Fortitude to gain a 20% hp multiplier.
Incenses
For incense you have a couple of options, depending on what your character needs.
Core Stat
- Sage's Whisper: Generally the best option as it gives the most amount of damage.
- Spiral Morning: Not a bad alternative, as the all stat gives some armor and also helps hit breakpoints in paragon tree. Only use if there's specific paragon nodes you're trying to reach.
Resistance
- Soothing Spices: Best all around option as it gives +10% all resistances and +2% max resistance to everything. Only use another option if needed to hit resistance caps.
Defensive
- Song of the Mountain: Great early game option for the +300 Armor
- Reddamine Buzz: Gives +750hp, best option if you are already armor capped.
Masterworking and Greater Affixes Explained
Masterworking
Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank boosts all affixes by 5%. Ranks 4,8,12 give a 25% bonus to a random affix (MW Crit).
In this planner, the color blue on an item denotes that the affix got one MW Crit, the color yellow denotes that the item got two MW crits and the color orange denotes that the item got three MW crits.
For future reference the amount of MW Crits on an affix will be denoted by 1MW, 2MW, 3MW.
Greater Affixes
Greater Affixes (GA) on an item force the affix to roll at the top of it's range of possible values and then applies a 50% increase to its value. GA increases are additive with Masterworking increases.
In this planner, the yellow star to the left of an affix denotes that is a GA.
Example
To put it all in to practice, let's calculate what stat increase a GA Affix on a 12/12 Masterworked item with 2 MW Crits gets:
Ranks 1-3, 5-7, 9-11 all give 5% -> 9 * 5% = 45%
Two MW Crits -> 2 * 25% = 50%
GA = 50%
Total = 45% + 50% + 50% = 145%
