Build Overview

The below will probably change once the season goes live. Tests will be done and things will be corrected to push as high as possible on HARDCORE. This means, that we will be sacrificing some damage for survivability.

I will cover my top pushing build on the Spiritborn in Season 15 when it comes to HC SSF and HC.

I'm currently holding the season 15 HC SSF Spiritborn top tower push at 135.

I have held the #1 HC SSF Ranking in S14 with the Spiritborn for the whole season with clearing Tower 143 with my strongest character.

Critical things to remember when maxing out your character on SSF/HC SSF:

You always want to prioritize survival over dps. Try to have about 12M+ Toughness when running on T12
Get as high Paragon level as possible & get key Legendary Nodes (Drive, Convergance, Vicious Shield, Bitter Medicine)
Focus on having all the affix multipliers on items (weapon, amulet, gloves, rings)
Focus on Key Uniques (Ebewaka, Writhing Moon Ring, Arioc's Needle, Fist of Fate)
Max Key Glyphs (Consumption, Canny, Bane, Guzzler/Revenge/Fester, Menagerist)
Talisman set with +skills & resistance

Extra Tips:

Focus on upgrading your weakest items rather than getting the perfect transfig roll on your weapon.
Update your gems, especially in the weapon for the extra damage multiplier
Focus on farming the rarest materials like volatile dust & forgotten souls. Don't blow through this material to upgrade one item until endgame.

In the early stages, we focus on getting the key uniques/mythics.

Harmony of Ebewaka - farm from either cube recipe of white -> unique, or Belial (Bartuc loot). This is probably the only needed mythic.

Focus on dps without losing too much toughness.

Gloves, Amulet, rings should all have Dex, Vuln Multi, Damage Over Time multi, and Poison multi with Vuln Masterworked
Weapon should have Damage Over Time multi (Masterworked), with Poison/All Damage multi, Dex, and Life
Temper Life on Helm, Chest, Pants, and Amulet for Toughness - if you think your toughness is overkill, you can swap 1-2 of these to Resolve Stacks for extra dps.
