THIS BUILD WILL BE UNDER TESTING THIS SEASON. WE’RE BASICALLY STARTING FROM SCRATCH WITH THE PLANNERS, THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

IMPORTANT

Ok guys. There’s actually a way to trigger more Freeze on bosses. And that’s through Lucky Hit Chance to Freeze on the talisman set. That alone is probably enough. Also stacking a lot of Crowd Control Duration on boots and gloves helps a lot. This probably works with every build honestly. So yeah, this is basically the meta right now. We’ll be testing it

Strengths and Weaknesses

Build Variants

The Cataclysm version will allow you to enjoy the game in a simpler way, while still being able to push higher Pit content

Gift of the Stag is important for keeping our Spirit high at all times

Iron Feather allows us to have more Life, which helps us gain more defense

Avian Wrath gives us 20% more Critical Strike Damage. This build relies heavily on Critical Strikes, so it contributes a lot to increasing our damage

Calamity allows us to keep Cataclysm active for a longer time

Obsidian Slam basically gives us 20% more damage for our earth skills like Boulder

Our main gear mechanic will be maintaining constant Spirit regeneration. That’s why with Tibault's Will you will be able to regenerate Spirit whenever you become Unstoppable. This is possible thanks to this modifier Unstoppable Earthen Bulwark, and we will activate Earthen Bulwark through Nagu - Que. It is the most optimal way to survive while also regenerating resources

Another crucial item for lowering our resource costs will be Ring of Starless Skies

You can also use a tempering on your secondary ring, whether it’s Fractured Runestone or Might of the Ursine. This depends on which ring has the better affixes, while the other one is used as a Charm, and vice versa

The mechanic of stacking Resolve is mandatory for dealing more damage thanks to Might of the Ursine. That’s why we use Resolve tempering on our chest, helmet, pants, and amulet

The aspect of Aspect of Glynn's Anvil is currently bugged. Once they fix it, we will be practically immortal

Where You Can Find These Items

  1. Tibault's Will drops randomly throughout the world. Bosses or Nightmare Dungeons are good options for farming it. Otherwise, you can use the Cube benefits to upgrade a white item into a Unique
  2. Might of the Ursine can be found from Harbringer
  3. Fractured Runestone can be found from Duriel

Talismans

For the Talismans, you can check my latest video to see them in detail, since the bonuses shown here are incorrect. However, the set name is correct, so just follow the set name.

Skill Tree

Our defensive skills are necessary for surviving longer in battle. Debilitating Roar reduces the damage we take. Earthen Bulwark activates automatically through Nagu - Que. And Cyclone Armor will mostly be used passively to increase our resistances

The Wolves give us Berserking for 4 seconds. This creates damage windows from time to time, and also helps trigger Nagu - Que. The same goes for Ravens, where we use a modifier to gain Resolve Resolve Ravens

Boulder is the star of this build. Dolmen's Will Boulder allows us to cast Boulder and move around with the Boulders orbiting us. This modifier is crucial Critical Strike Chance Boulder

We use Cataclysm with Tectonic Spikes Cataclysm to contribute more damage to the build, since it counts as an Earth skill. It also helps the Talisman store more damage

Paragon Board

Headhunter gives us more Willpower and damage. You can replace it with Werebear if you want better defenses

Earthen Devastation is a massive damage increase. Earth and Sky is the best option on this board

Survival Instincts gives us more damage while we are in Werebear form. Dominate increases our damage by 15% when we have Overpower stacks

Heightened Malice gives us more damage against Poisoned enemies, and we poison them thanks to Sinister Tendrils. The Spirit and Tectonic glyphs contribute to our Critical Strike Damage, along with an additional 15% damage against Crowd Controlled enemies

Mercenary

How it Plays

CATACLYSM VERSION

  • The Cataclysm version is played like this: activate Cataclysm, and then your Boulder will do all the work
  • Activate your defensive skills whenever necessary, such as Debilitating Roar and Cyclone Armor
  • The Wolves will give you Berserking for 4 seconds. Repeat the entire process

GRIZZLY RAGE VERSION

  • Activate Grizzly Rage before entering battle. The important mechanic is trying to evade through enemies so Flickerstep can reduce its cooldown by up to 10 seconds
  • Cast Boulder to deal damage. The rest of the abilities work the same as in the Cataclysm version
