Blessed Shield - Captain America

The Blessed Shield Paladin Build Guide teaches you about Gear, Skills, Paragon, Playstyle & Seasonal Mechanics in Diablo 4 Season 11.

Captain America is back! Throw Shields at your enemies while zooming through the levels. This build is super easy to pick up and has a clear progression. When you are still starting out, you apply Judgement with Holy Bolt. Judgement is important to fuel your Shield of Justice Blessed Shield. However, once you progress to the Endgame you apply it with Reach of the Law Arbiter of Justice instead, unlocking more powerful synergies.

Starter

1. Throw Holy Bolt to spread Judgement with Judgement Day
2. Throw Blessed Shield
3. 1. Shield of Justice Blessed Shield detonates and consumes Judgement for increased Damage.
3. Fanaticism Aura is used for its buffs.
4. Defiance Aura provides buffs and Unstoppable on demand.
5. Use Rally to sustain your Faith.
6. Use Falling Star for mobility.

Endgame

• Instead of using Holy Bolt Ascend into Arbiter of Justice
• 1. Reach of the Law Arbiter of Justice applies Judgement for Judicator.
  2. Judgement is spread by Judgement Day.

Mythic

• Glide with Arbiter Form's Evade and throw Blessed Shield through Argent Veil.
• Throw Blessed Shield manually at least every 3 seconds to keep up Ring of Starless Skies.

FAQ

Why are we not playing Ring of Starless Skies?

• Because we reset our Evade with Words of Sacrifice Rally. It counts as an Attack and therefore we do not need to cast Blessed Shield after every Evade. So, we do not benefit from Starless Skies passive.
• This allows us to use a legendary ring with the Aspect of Proselytizing aspect, which is more damage on average, even factoring in the lost +Ranks to Core Skills.
• You also have less issues with Faith upkeep, as you not only spend less Faith, but can also temper Valor Skills Restore X Faith on your now free Ring Slot.

It's important to run Elixirs and Incenses at all times. Not only because they increase your Experience gain but also because they provide very strong combat boosts.

For Elixirs you will use Elixir of Advantage II to increase our Attack Speed.

For Incenses you will use Spiral Morning for All Stats , Song of the Mountain for Armor and Soothing Spices for All Resistances and more Armor.
