Overview

This build was created by Y4mz. To find it in game, search for "Mobalytics - ‘On-Hit’ Bebop by y4mz" (BuildID: 334443)

Bebop is in a weird place, very oppressive with an early lead, but he can become a constant liability in the middle parts of the game while behind due to his lack of mobility and clunky abilities. I have had the most success using the core 3 items of Veil Walker , Cultist Sacrifice, and Tesla Bullets.

Veil Walker lets us get early bomb stacks and sustain very effectively in the lane, and allows us to rotate very quickly without being seen. Additionally, it sets up very easy hooks when you can stand in the middle of the lane completely invisible. These hooks in the later stages of the game will transition into picking off enemy players, taking Mid Boss, and winning games. Cultist Sacrifice gives us a strong networth boost and a bunch of wonderful stats we love to have. Lastly, Tesla Bullets and later Capacitor add a ton of extra damage, synergize amazingly with our high baseline fire rate and desire to build even more fire rate, and contribute heavily to jungling when we’re between hook attempts. Recent buffs to Bebop's hitscan gun range makes applying Tesla Bullets, Toxic Bullets, and similar ‘on-hit’ effects incredibly strong.

Early Game

  • If you’re confident in your movement and ability to get in and out of early fights without taking catastrophic amounts of damage, or if you just want to have some fun, start with Sticky Bomb and put 2 points in it right away. The alternative is starting with Exploding Uppercut and lobbing your own creeps at the enemy every 8 seconds to trigger the AOE damage. Whatever ability you skill first, take 2 points in it then the other.
  • Once you get Veil Walker , 99% of players will not be able to handle you running up to them and attaching 250 damage bombs. If they have some way to immune the bomb, it may be able to be blocked by Slowing Hex or a cheeky last-second hook to pseudo-stun them when they try to cast
  • It’s okay to sit near the tower or on the sides, but you need to stay within a range that threatens hook, if they cross to the far side of the lane to shoot you from afar, you either need to match their movement or hide.
  • You can put Sticky Bomb on a creep and use Exploding Uppercut to punt it into the opposing laners, bonus points if you do it to a low HP enemy creep and kill it mid-air with your gun.

Mid Game

  • We are looking to pick up Cultist Sacrifice around 8 minutes, this is when the T3 Neutral monsters spawn and we will try to use the proc on T3 neutrals whenever possible.
  • Bebop can use his unupgraded Hyper Beam to farm his team’s side T3 camps VERY efficiently, it does nearly 90% of their HP and using a bomb before starting the Hyper Beam will usually be enough to kill them, I try to do this whenever possible as it is a huge boost to net worth. The circle beneath Bebop does reduced damage, do not use it to farm T3 neutrals.
  • Use Sticky Bomb in combination with Exploding Uppercut and Tesla Bullets to nearly one-shot T2 camps.
  • Use and abuse Veil Walker whenever you can to run around and Hook people, heal yourself, get free bombs, mess around in the enemy jungle, etc.
  • We are at our strongest in heads-up fights when we have Tesla Bullets, Toxic Bullets, and Burst Fire. Fortunately we don’t ever need to take heads-up fights, we can pop out of invisibility and hook them into our team with Veil Walker .
Cultist Sacrifice3,200 souls
Toxic Bullets3,200 souls
Burst Fire3,200 souls

Late Game

  • We pick up Capacitor and now we have a massive damage increase as well as the ability to purge buffs like Metal Skin, Seven’s Power Surge, Abrams’ Siphon Life, Viscous’ Cube, and more.
  • Depending on how the game went you may be able to solo kill some heroes, if you can: abuse Veil Walker to get free hooks and bully them into the spawn queue. Otherwise, you’ll probably need to ask teammates to come with you when you go for the invis hooks.
  • With the ability to constantly go invisible and Hook from anywhere, it should be really easy to avoid being predictable, just keep it in mind that they may try to jump on you if you fail a Hook in the same area repeatedly.
  • There’s more emphasis on getting a lot of defensive stats on Bebop than most heroes because of his massive base HP pool. If they want to kill you, make them work for it.
