THROW A GUN THAT SHOOTS FISTS
Raging Chuck Amon is what happens when you take the several mechanics littered throughout his Skill Tree that are meant to work well on their own and combine them into a critical mass of power. The bossing potential of this build is matched only by other Amon builds and powercreep. The
Force of Nature Detonations that this build is capable of building are enough to send any boss cowering in fear and has done so - killing Big Encore Timekeeper in just 1 Laser Disker Detonation. To take advantage of all of these mechanics at once we need to bottleneck a bit though, luckily Tediore has given us a few options as well.
Mantra is the main weapon for this build and
Lamplighter is the class mod, but
Furnace offers much higher bossing peaks than
Lamplighter. This is not a leveling build. You need to be, at the minimum, able to farm Bloomreaper on UVH1 to complete this build.
How does it work?
Activate
Onslaughter and begin killing.
Stormcutter and
Lamplighter will keep you inside of your Action Skill as long as you don't go down.
Fists of Stone will get you
Stormcutter back almost immediately. Shoot - swing - shoot - swing shoot - swing. This process continues on as you Rocket Punch and explode through over whatever area you're fighting in.
As in other Amon bossing builds
Force of Nature is what's being leveraged for the big numbers. Typically relegated to burst damage, this build allows Amon to simply use it as sustain, Groundbreaker fuel, bossing, whatever is needed. Since we never drop Onslaughter we continuously Force Nature upon the unlucky occupants of your path
There are 2 rolls of
Mantra to take advantage of here. At the minimum you'll want a Jakobs Mantra and a Tediore Shooting Reload or Shooting Replicator Reload Mantra. Why these rolls?
Jakobs:
The ricochets allow you to Prime multiple enemies at once for Detonation. When you use your Stormcutter they all get set off and smite the surrounding area out of existence.
Tediore:
The Mantra and any other Tediore weapon you wish to rotate in will cover your bossing.
Force of Nature likes BIG burst damage and Tediore reloads provide exactly that. Underbarrel levels of output can be had for the price of a CLUNKY Ripper + Daed Sniper + Laser Disker DPS rotation, and of course your sanity after farming that. Regardless an Inscriber, Sunspot, or even a Ruby's Grasp can be taken advantage of for HUGE detonations.
Why Tediore?
Tediore Reloads synergize exceptionally well with Force of Nature due to the burst nature of their damage profile. Weapons like
Laser Disker,
Inscriber,
Hair Trigger, or even the
Mantra itself can be used to great effect.
Ruby's Grasp and Chuck can both be used in mobbing if the crit knife is dropped for Slippy to replace the
Fists of Stone triggers. This will not sustain Onslaughter nearly as long, especially without
Machinist specced, but a good Ruby's can clear TUV6 mobs even without and give you time to regen your skills a bit slower without Mantra.
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants to spice it up from Heavy Ordnance, Slip N Dip, or wants to live out the Elemental Paladin playstyle that Amon's aesthetic leans into. Fly full tilt into combat with zero regard for much of anything beyond where the next target to purge is. As long as you are swinging your sword and firing your Mantra you can keep
Onslaughter up as long as you need to. I have personally run entire Vaults without ever dropping my Action Skill.
