Overview

The Borderlands 4 Bounty Pack 3: A Zane to Kill For features 6 all-new Legendaries for players to find, and 4 rerollable Legendaries from Vault Card 3. Alongside this, there's also a new Pearlescent weapon in the Bounty Pack itself!

In this guide, I'll be breaking down the effects, acquirable licenses and the best rolls for each of these new items!

Multi-ball - Every 10th shot fires a projectile that returns toward the player which can bounce and has a chance to spawn 2 additional projectiles when colliding with enemies or players.

Mechanics

  • Not Hitscan
  • Pierces hitboxes, but can't double hit like Tier 3 High Caliber Splash Pierce
  • Ricochets on surface impact.
    • Maximum ricochets observed were 4 (Could use more testing).
  • Very fast projectiles.

Hard Dark Daedalus Assault Rifle

Hard Dark

You merely adopted the dark.

Solidified - Fires a projectile that explodes into a barrage of splash pellets, which can also ricochet.

Mechanics

  • Projectile explodes after 0.3s in flight. This does not require the projectile to hit surface.
    • Surfaces won't stop the divergence. Dealing damage onto enemies, however, stops it.
  • After every explosion, it creates two new projectiles for a total of 8 projectiles at maximum.
  • Every new projectile snapshots On Shot bonuses, like Amp and On Shot Gun Damage.

Does not benefit and is not considered On Hit Gun Damage before the 0.3s timeframe. Gets the full On Hit Gun Damage access after the first split.

  • Still benefits from Amp and On Shot Gun Damage before the first split.

Wait/Action! - Cannot be reloaded, crouching grants Damage Reduction and refills the magazine after a brief delay.

Mechanics

  • 50% Damage Reduction while Crouching
  • 0.75s after crouching for the Reload to initiate
    • Can only reload once per crouch
    • If you shoot while crouching you need to re-crouch for another reload
  • Works on slides.

Raiden Daedalus Submachine Gun

Our frothing demand for this gun increases.

Raiden - On Kill, spawn a Projectile Count Booster that increases the projectiles per shot for 14 seconds. Pickup effect stacks.

Mechanics

Anything that ends up killing an enemy will spawn a Projectile Count Booster at the current location of the Vault Hunter if and only if they have the weapon in hand. The kill doesn't have to be from the Raiden itself.

  • Projectile Count Boosters can only spawn and be picked up while the Vault Hunter has the weapon in hand.
  • The duration of each stack is individual.
  • The maximum Projectile Count Boosters that can be active at once is 10.
  • Each booster adds one full projectile count to multiprojectile weapons. So a Spread Launcher at 10 boosters shoots FIFTY FIVE grenades.
    • The formula is: Weapon Projectile Count + (Booster Count x Weapon Projectile Count) = Total Projectiles
  • Vex's Heirloom can be given the weapon and spawn boosters on itself, but those will only spawn if the kill was caused by Heirloom.

Projectile Count Booster effect persists on weapon swaps for its remaining duration, works on other weapons and even underbarrels.

Swarm - When Energy Shield breaks, spawn Kill Drones that charge a nearby enemy, deal N damage and restore 15% shield. Kill Drones recharge while Shield is full.
