Vile Prototype is located at Lictor's Black Site in the Windspear region, in Terminus Range.
In order to gain access to Vile Prototype you will need to progress through the the main Dark Subject mission.
Vile Prototype is a simple boss fight in terms of mechanics but he packs a big punch. The key focus are his Eridium crystals which you must periodically destroy to keep him vulnerable.
What Happens: Crystal growths appear on the boss's body, making him immune to damage.
What to do: Shoot at the purple glowing crystals as well as the Vile Ordonites circling around. AoE is a great way to hit the crystals.
The crystals match the purple heathbar at the top.
What Happens: Vile Prototype will always try to stay in melee and throw extremely hard hitting haymakers.
What to do: Don't let him get up close and roam around the arena to always keep a safe distance. Use the platform in the middle or corners to get up and away from him.
All brawns and no brains.
What Happens: Vile Prototype throws a rapid Javelin towards the player, dealing massive damage.
What to do: The Javelin may be hard to dodge once it's in the air, but you can predict when it comes by watching the boss's animation - when he's winding up, side step!
It's so fast we could only get a pic of its trail.
What Happens: Vile Prototype throws a exploding projectiles that fan out in front of him, dealing damage.
What to do: Running sidewards is tricky here as there's a good chance you'll be dodging into another rock. Instead, try jumping!
Hop!
What Happens: Vile Prototype launches himself into the air and smashes the ground at the player, dealing AoE damage and knocking back.
What to do: The animation for this is slow - dash backwards when you see him in the air.
