Location

Splashzone is located at the Riptide Grotto, located in the southern region of Fadefields on the Coastal Bonescape.

In order to gain access to him you will need to progress through the main story by completing the Recruitment Drive mission.

How to Beat

Splashzone is a fast paced boss that is fairly easy to kill as he has no Armor or shield and only a Flesh health bar.

FIGHT TLDR

  1. Keep your distance and never get up close - as Splashzone is almost a pure melee boss.
  2. Stay in front of him and take note of which direction Splashzone runs as he leaves a damage trail behind.

Mechanics

Danger Trail

What Happens: Leaves a trail behind him of a random element. Running on top of the trail will deal damage over time (DoT) to you.

What to do: Keep your distance at all times to dodge the trail. If the boss runs towards your direction, you can dash to the sides or kite it and keep yourself in front of it. You can also simply jump over it.

Danger Trail

The cryo-carpet behind him will hurt and slow you.

Hammer Whirlwind

What Happens: Splashzone starts spinning with full speed toward you - dealing damage to everything his club touches.

What to do: Keep your distance to avoid getting hit by the melee spin by continuously kiting Splashzone. Splashzone gets dizzy once he stops spinning - so use that small window to deal extra damage!

He'll slow down when he spins, keep back!

Explosive Grenades

What Happens: Splashzone leaves a bunch of Grenades around him that will explode and deal AoE damage.

What to do: Stay in front of Splashzone to see the Grenades in front of you and, as always, - keep your distance!

The grenade that spawns won't follow you, so keep backtracking.

Tips & Tricks

  • Make sure to kill all enemies around the area to not get bothered when fighting Splashzone.
  • Splashzone is entirely Flesh, meaning he takes extra damage from 🔥Incendiary but you will also do good with❄️Cryo and ☢️Radiation.
  • Shock and 🟢Corrosive will deal less damage to him due to his Flesh healtbar.
  • Since Splashzone's abilities are all melee, most of his abilities can be dodged by keeping a safe distance and kiting him all around the arena.
  • The adds can be kept alive to give easy Second Winds.
  • Splashzone can spawn with any element, giving him small resistances and affecting the damage type of his Danger Trail
