Sludgemaw is a huge thresher boss that can be encountered at the end of The Outbounders faction mission, All Charged Up.

Sludgemaw is located in Watershed Gate around north of Idolator's Noose in the Fadefields.
In order to gain access to Sludgemaw you will need to progress through the the All Charged Up Faction mission.
What Happens: Sludgemaw dives underground attempting to resurface underneath you, dealing damage.
What to do: Keep an eye on the ground below you and dash away if you see him coming up. You can also use that time to reload your guns.
As he's coming up, get away.
What Happens: Sludgemaw swipes a wide melee attack, dealing damage and knocking back.
What to do: Avoid frontal melee at all costs.
Dodge backwards!
What Happens: Sludgemaw regurgitates rubbish and summons small Grubs to join the fight.
What to do: The grubs die in one hit but can be useful to keep around for Second Winds. This attack only goes off if you are out of range of Sludgemaw's Burrow, i.e on top of a box.
