Borderlands 4 has a pretty huge patch dropping tomorrow, or so it's assumed

In the January 15th update for Borderlands 4 (the one where drop rates changed) Gearbox announced that later in the month we would be receiving a Major update on all platforms that would see more details being shared on the content and updates coming in 2026

This is certainly an interesting footnote, as we only have one more update to see before February rolls around, and it just so happens to be tomorrow.

Now the obvious assumption is that we'll be seeing some news on the upcoming Takedown Gearbox previously confirmed would be coming to the game, and perhaps a more detailed look into C4SH, the upcoming DLC Vault Hunter.

But more importantly, is the pending introduction of Photomode, which was teased on Twitter/X by a few of the leading developers on the Post-Launch cycle of Borderlands 4

And no, this isn't rage bait ;)

Also confirmed last week on social media by Grant Kao, the Associate Creative Director at Gearbox, we'll also be seeing some changes coming to numerous items in the game and their dedicated drop rates.

This will include controversial items such as the Bod, which have been subject to a lot of discussion surrounding their part variance and ease of farming.

It seems Gearbox are listening here, and implementing some much needed changes. As always, Mobalytics will have these changes covered shortly after the update goes live in our official Legendary Drop Rate Breakdown

Regarding other changes, we'll of course be patiently anticipating some much needed adjustments to World Events, Eridium Economy, and other weekly activities that should be enticing players in to sink some additional hours into their favorite looter shooter franchise.
