How to Beat

Driller Hole is a tricky boss fight with lots of rockets and explosions. Fortunately, good movement around the arena and use of its terrain can greatly help you beat him.

FIGHT TLDR

  1. Make sure to move around in the arena when Driller Hole launches his rockets at you.
  2. Use the terrain to shield yourself when he starts firing rockets from his gun.

Phase 1

During Phase 1 - Drill Hole has an Armor healthbar and is weak to 🟢Corrosive damage!

Rocket Gun

What Happens: Driller Hole fires rockets from his gun at you, dealing big damage.

What to do: Stay in front of him to make sure you see the rockets and dash to the left/right. Ideally you can also line of sight the boss using the big furnace in the middle of the arena.

The rockets come in qucik succession but terrain will block them.

Rocket Bombardment

What Happens: Driller Hole starts launching rockets from his back into the air that deal damage and create elemental puddles on the ground.

What to do: Keep moving around the arena while shooting at him - he is stationary and vulnerable while firing. Once he stops shooting rockets, make sure to check the ground for elemental puddles.

Ground Rockets

What Happens: Driller Hole shoots 3 rockets in the ground that head to your direction, dealing damage and knocking you up.

What to do: Move to the sides - but you can also use a double jump right before the rockets explode below you to avoid any damage taken. You can also stand on the taller boxes in the room to avoid these.
