Riven

When you get to Diamond, your mechanics will be incredibly good. This is why Riven is one of the greatest champions to play in the Top lane. If you’re a mechanical genius and love complicated combos to show off, Riven could be for you.

One of the more challenging things you need to keep in mind when playing Riven is to understand the matchups. If you pick Riven into a bad matchup, it can be extremely difficult to do anything against the enemy. Knowing how to play each matchup is key for every champion, especially a high-risk, high-reward champ.

Riven had a 58% win rate in Diamond during patch 12.4.

Rek’Sai

Skirmish heavy Junglers are a must in high ELO. If you pick a tank and focus on just farming, the enemy will dominate your team while you’re dominating the jungle monsters.

Rek’Sai is a good champion as she is skirmish heavy which allows her to get early ganks off. She can also solo objectives like the Rift Herald and Dragon without her team. Players start to place more vision in Diamond and above, and she can ignore wards with her tunnels to surprise the enemy.

She had a 56.2% win rate in Diamond on patch 12.4.

Talon

Roam heavy champions are amazing in Diamond and above, and Talon is the perfect mix between lane dom and roam king. He is a champion who gets the most first blood in the game, and people in Diamond still underestimate his early game damage.

A good player in Diamond will look for roaming opportunities to get themselves and their allies ahead. Talon can do this with ease as he generally can get kills in lane, push the wave with his W and then jump over walls and help his allies.

In Diamond, Talon had a 56.5% win rate.

Jinx

Jinx is not the most mechanically demanding ADC out there, but she is one of the most popular. Thanks to her snowball potential, Jinx is great at all ranks, including Diamond. Getting a slight lead on her can be devastating for the enemy.

She has great synergy with the current meta of Supports, and she is always pretty good regardless of meta. At level 6, she gets additional map pressure with her Ultimate, which she can use to snipe enemies who are low on health. Thanks to her Passive, she can be a real problem in team fights as she can easily take multiple players down one after another and escape all-ins from tanks.

Jinx had a 54.2% win rate on patch 12.4.

Janna

Janna recently received a minor rework, and whether you prefer the new Janna or not, she will always be a good Support regardless of the rank you play.

Janna is good into many of the top Supports right now, and she can win lane effortlessly when paired with a strong ADC. Good Janna’s will find a healthy balance between roaming and helping her allies while staying in lane and being a huge bully.

Janna had a 53.9% win rate in patch 12.4.

Summary

Diamond is a very good rank and this is where you’re really going to struggle. Remember the things we talked about in this guide, aggression, gameplay and macro are incredibly important if you’re trying to take it to the next step.
